The vast Iridium Star United Empire had already declared a state of emergency for wartime, and aside from the various products required for daily life, practically all production power had been shifted to military needs. Linyin responded, "We've observed that if a unit of primal matter releases too much energy, it may lose its characteristics as primal matter, becoming ordinary material. We've tried methods like recharging to transform it back into primal matter, but it doesn't work. We can only assimilate it again with more primal matter for it to become primal matter once more. We've conducted similar experiments with all types of materials, and primal matter can assimilate everything. The Chancellor's guess that all the materials in the current universe could originate from primal matter is very likely true."

In other words, the Elder Race and primal matter seem to have a special relationship."
