The third Abyss Rift tore through the landscape like a festering wound—its edges jagged, spewing black ether in pulsing bursts. Crimson lightning danced across the cracked skies as leyline energies spiraled uncontrollably.

Cyg stood silently on a ridge overlooking the chasm. Beside him, Hikari held tightly onto Sanguira, her eyes wide with anxiety. Behind them, Mia hovered mid-air, Lexigra floating before her as magical glyphs swirled in the air around her fingers.

"The rift is unstable," Mia said softly. "It's tearing into a deeper fold. Something is trying to cross… but it's not Abyss."

Cyg narrowed his eyes, processing the etheric data through Mystic Eye.

"It's Orion," he confirmed. "Two generals. Masked behind Abyssal distortion."

The air shifted. Frost bloomed from nowhere.

"They're here."

A figure appeared with the hiss of winter—Fei Xun, Chronocrypt, wearing robes of spectral black and silver, wielding a fan that shimmered with frozen time.

And beside him, a tall monstrosity of man and void—Karth Silren, Corpsegrin. Pale, stretched skin covered in self-stitched scars. He dragged a living, chained blade that whimpered with voices.

"Welcome, little Knights," Karth rasped. "We're here to play."

Location: Battle Zone – Frontline Engagement

Cyg stepped forward, raising Aetheron. The gunblade shifted fluidly between forms, humming with rising pressure.

"Hikari. Mia. Fall back to formation Delta-4. Keep their ether signatures split."

Hikari hesitated.

"But—"

"Trust the plan."

He charged.

Karth responded with a bellowing laugh, swinging the blade in a grotesque arc. Cyg dodged narrowly, returning fire that shattered ice sculptures rising from Fei's wave of frost.

Meanwhile, Mia and Hikari formed a glyph triangle—creation circles humming with light, scattering reality-altering effects to destabilize the enemy's advance.

Fei flicked his fan. Time slowed. The snow paused midair.

"You're out of sync with this timeline, boy."

But Cyg grinned.

"That's why I made another."

He fired Aetheron in reverse mode—using past data from Mystic Eye to predict and strike in the next frozen second.

Fei's fan shattered slightly from the impact.

"Heh… clever."

Mia floated higher, pages flipping rapidly.

"Barrier complete! Hikari—now!"

Hikari held Sanguira tightly, her breath shaking.

"Please… don't let me lose control."

Her eyes flashed crimson. Blood ether surged around her feet.

She whispered,

"Blood Chain: Crimson Crescent."

The scythe expanded—its blade glowing violently as it curved through the battlefield like a drawn moon. It grazed Karth's arm, forcing him to recoil.

But something shifted inside Hikari.

She gasped.

"No—no no—!"

Blood around her surged against her will, lashing out in wild arcs.

"It's her power again," Mia said quickly. "She's slipping!"

Cyg glanced back once, seeing the vortex of blood and panic.

"Hikari!!"

Location: Hikari's Inner World – Moment of Collapse

Inside the void of her mind, Hikari stood alone in a sea of mirrors—all broken, all reflecting versions of herself drenched in blood.

A voice echoed.

"You were never meant to be loved."

She fell to her knees, shaking.

"No… stop…"

Then a hand reached down.

It was Mia, glowing with her Creation Force.

"You are not a monster," she said. "You are Hikari."

Tears welled in Hikari's eyes.

"I'm scared…"

"Then let's be scared together."

The mirrors stopped cracking.

And Hikari stood again—this time by choice.

Hikari surged back into reality, breathing hard.

"Cyg!"

"We end this now!" he called.

Together with Mia, they launched a three-way Etheric Convergence.

The Octagon gathered in the rooftop garden.

Harriet sat on the railing. Sylvia leaned against a wall, humming softly. Elaine watched the stars. Eun-Ha was silent, reading.

Cyg stepped forward, hands in his pockets.

"We survived."

"Barely," Sylvia replied.

Harriet snorted.

"So? That's still surviving."

Mia smiled at Hikari, who had curled her hands tightly around a warm cup of tea.

"Thank you," Hikari whispered to her.

"Always."

The moon rose, quiet and full.

"So…" Charlotte said from the bench nearby, "what comes next?"

Cyg glanced at each of them.

"Whatever it is—we face it together."
