Full-Level Fierce Person

Chapter 14: 14 Transcendent

Upon hearing this, Fang Zhixing coldly chuckled, "A dog can't change its habit of eating shit."

Xigou let out a cold laugh, "You know nothing, this is called 'bad boys get the love'. I'm the king of the sea, radiating confidence!"

About two hours later, the rain finally lessened.

Together, the man and the dog stepped out of their comfort zone, got drizzled on, and started looking for prey.

A moment later...

Fang Zhixing walked past a large tree that would take three people to wrap their arms around, and suddenly stopped. His gaze traveled through the woods and spotted two sika deer standing under a large tree, leisurely nibbling on tender grass.

The two sika deer, one large and one small, appeared to be mother and child.

"Damn, deer!"

Xigou popped his head out, staring blankly.

In his previous life, he had only seen sika deer in zoos and had never eaten deer meat.

"We're a bit far, we need to get closer." Fang Zhixing crouched and tiptoed carefully.

Yet, the mother deer suddenly turned her head, spotted Fang Zhixing, and with her fawn, turned and ran.

In the blink of an eye, they had vanished deep into the forest.

"Strange, how did I expose myself?"

Fang Zhixing was puzzled.

Xigou suggested, "Maybe it's because your footsteps are too loud. You can't quiet your steps walking in the mud."

Fang Zhixing pondered.

Soon, the rain picked up again, dwindled after a while, and this cycle repeated.

Both man and dog were drenched and felt cold.

After searching for over an hour, they finally spotted a group of wild pigs, not just one but about twenty to thirty gathered together.

Fang Zhixing held his breath, lay flat on the ground, and crawled forward bit by bit.

When he got within thirty meters, he suddenly stood up, swiftly drew his bow, and fired an arrow.

Whoosh!

The cold arrow sped through the air and struck its target!

"Lulu ah~~"

A wild pig jumped up on the spot, wildly shaking its head.

The arrow had pierced right through its eye socket, and blood flowed profusely.

Startled, the group of wild pigs bolted, including the one that was hit. It ran incredibly fast and soon disappeared without a trace.

"Chase!"

Fang Zhixing and Xigou quickly pursued, following the hoof prints and blood trail on the ground.

However, the rain quickly washed away the blood, and the hoof prints also became blurred.

Fang Zhixing and Xigou, gasping for breath, pursued until a steep slope suddenly appeared in front of them.

The hoof prints disappeared at the foot of the slope.

"What a pity..."

Fang Zhixing wiped the rain off his face and shook his head wordlessly.

Xigou grumbled, "Are wild pigs always this fierce? An arrow shot through the head and it didn't die?"

Fang Zhixing sighed, "Maybe it's just our bad luck. I once read a report about a man who was impaled through the head by a steel rod and ended up being saved."

Both man and dog, having caught nothing, had no choice but to find a place to rest.

Before long, it was afternoon.

Under a large, fallen tree, Fang Zhixing and Xigou sheltered from the rain, looking like drenched chickens, in a sorry state.

The rain gradually stopped.

Croak~

Gurgle croak~

Just after the rain stopped, a series of frog croaks suddenly echoed through the mountains and forests.

"There are frogs!"

Fang Zhixing felt rejuvenated, trampled through the mud, searching high and low.

Soon, he saw a shallow sandbank from afar, with four or five very large frogs lying beside it, each more than twenty centimeters long, croaking loudly, their voices as deep as cows.

"Holy crap, these must be bullfrogs!"

Fang Zhixing was overjoyed, and for a moment, images of pickled pepper bullfrog, dry pot bullfrog, and hot pot bullfrog flashed through his mind.

Xigou suddenly said, "Look closely, have you ever seen a bullfrog with a glowing head?!"

Fang Zhixing took a closer look and noticed, for the first time, the top of the bullfrog's head, with a fleshy bump between its big eyes, shaped like a sharp horn, and vividly red.

Fang Zhixing exclaimed in shock, "Red horns?"

Xigou glanced at Fang Zhixing and said in astonishment, "What red horns? It's clearly a ball of fire, just like a will-o'-the-wisp!"

"What will-o'-the-wisp?"

Fang Zhixing paused, looked down at Xigou, and asked seriously, "Where did you see the fire?"

Xigou replied seriously as well, "There's a ball of fire floating above the heads of those bullfrogs. Can't you see it?"

Fang Zhixing shook his head.

The two — man and dog — stared at each other.

After a long while, they confirmed one thing, the images seen by human eyes and dog eyes were different.

"Well, it finally feels a bit like another world."

Fang Zhixing clicked his tongue in wonder, his mood surging, and mused, "We might have encountered a Transcendent creature."

Xigou strongly agreed, "Incredible, this world is definitely not simple."

That said, Fang Zhixing still pulled an arrow from Arrow Bag.

In his eyes, even the most magical Transcendent creature was merely an ingredient.

He quietly moved closer.

Using a large tree as cover.

Fang Zhixing moved to about twenty meters away, raised his bow and arrow, drew the bow, and released the arrow, fluidly as clouds flowing through water.

Whoosh!

The cold arrow shot out, slicing through the chilly air, heading toward the right side of the shallow bank.

"Quack~~"

Immediately, a pig-like scream sounded.

Fang Zhixing focused his eyes and saw several bullfrogs scattering quickly, leaping into the woods with a few bounds and disappearing from sight.

Only the largest bullfrog, hit in the thigh by the cold arrow, was pinned to the muddy ground, still struggling.

Fang Zhixing's eyebrows raised, completely surprised.

It should be noted, he had aimed for the bullfrog's forehead, but the shot was off by at least ten centimeters.

"A hundred percent hit rate, almost missed?"

Fang Zhixing's heart chilled, suddenly realizing that the 'Apprentice Marksman's' hit rate was not absolute and had its applicable range.

For instance, when shooting ordinary wild animals, his arrows never missed, but with Transcendent creatures, the outcome might be up to fate.

Xigou quickly ran over, stretched out a small paw forward, and pressed down on the other wildly kicking leg of the bullfrog.

The bullfrog was instantly subdued, with only its head moving left and right.

Fang Zhixing walked over, bent down to examine the bullfrog, and frowned, "Is this it? It doesn't seem that Transcendent at all!"

Xigou was also a bit disappointed and said, "This thing might not be a Transcendent creature at all. Remember the anglerfish in the sea? It also has a 'fishing rod' on its head that can glow."

Fang Zhixing pondered for a moment, suddenly drew his Drawing Sword, and stabbed downward.

Pu!

The tip of the sword pierced the bullfrog's back, halting its struggles completely.

[2, Cut down 2 life entities of the same level (1/2)]

System Panel briefly flashed a glow.

Fang Zhixing's eyes brightened, his heart racing.

"Hmm??!"

Xigou was stunned, its face full of question marks, and said incredulously, "You can't be serious, you and the bullfrog are 'life entities of the same level'?"

Fang Zhixing also found it unbelievable, but the fact was in front of him, half the mission was completed.

He threw the bullfrog into the broken bamboo basket, spurred on, "Let's go, kill another bullfrog, and the Sword Drawing Skill will be mastered."

Xigou was also looking forward to it, running joyfully toward the direction of the bullfrogs' croaking.

Before long, they discovered another shallow bank, where more than ten bullfrogs were gathered, singing loudly.

Fang Zhixing couldn't help but be thrilled...
