Frozen: The Child of Magic

Chapter 11: The End of the Savage Wolf Incident

The Great Hall – King Agnarr's Castle

The captain of the royal guard knelt before the throne, his tone respectful as he spoke:

"Your Majesty, we have successfully contained the savage wolf that attacked the citizens."

King Agnarr sat upon his throne, cloaked in regal authority—a far cry from the warmhearted father we saw on the day of Elsa's birth.

Indeed, he had just received word of the incident, though the details had yet to reach him.

He stroked his chin thoughtfully and said:

"Hm… execute it. Let it serve as a warning to any other unruly beasts."

But the captain hesitated before replying.

"Your Majesty…"

Agnarr raised an eyebrow, his voice edged with curiosity:

"What is it? Do you object?"

"N-not at all, Your Majesty. It's just that… we weren't the ones who captured or subdued the creature."

A spark of intrigue lit the king's eyes. His tone shifted:

"Oh? Then who was it? Who managed to control a beast that even the royal guard couldn't subdue?"

Perhaps a valuable ally, he mused—especially in this unstable era where the throne had yet to fully settle.

But before the captain could answer, a commotion erupted outside the hall. Loud voices echoed through the doors:

"Let us in! We know the king personally!"

Sosi and his two companions burst in, to the guards' astonishment. One of them rushed toward the throne, panting:

"Your Majesty, my apologies… They forced their way in, claiming to know you!"

The guard glared at them, for a posting inside the royal court was a privilege not to be taken lightly.

But Agnarr waved the matter aside with a calm gesture.

"It's fine. Let them be."

He turned his gaze toward the trio. He recognized them well—they were children bound by an old promise, entrusted to him by… an old friend.

He addressed the captain:

"You may leave now. I'll handle this myself."

"As you command, Your Majesty."

The captain and the guards withdrew, and the doors closed behind them.

The king stepped forward and asked in a gentle tone:

"Little one, is this beast your Pact companion?"

"Yes, Your Majesty! His name is Soth!"

Before he could say more, Harl interrupted in astonishment:

"Wait… how did you know it was a Pact beast?"

Sosi smacked him on the head.

"Idiot! We're people of Arendelle—the king knows everything!"

King Agnarr chuckled.

"No, I learned it from your elder, Grand Pabbie of your tribe."

The three exchanged surprised glances. Caron asked:

"Your Majesty… you know Grand Pabbie?"

"Yes, we were old friends. He told me much about your unique abilities."

The boys fell silent, curiosity sparkling in their eyes, but the king diverted the conversation:

"Let's return to the matter at hand. Do you confirm that this beast is officially your Pact companion?"

Sosi lifted his chin proudly:

"Absolutely! I'm the first among my peers to form a Pact!"

"Wonderful. To my knowledge, none of your friends have completed a Pact yet—am I right?"

"Exactly!"

He beamed at Harl and Caron with victorious glee.

Harl ignored him, and Caron just shook his head with quiet amusement.

The king continued:

"Can you alter your companion's appearance?"

"I can! Why do you ask?"

"I'd like you to change how he looks… so that he appears entirely different."

"Alright!"

Sosi replied eagerly. Truth be told, he wasn't too fond of Soth's current appearance himself.

He placed a hand on the wolf's forehead, and the transformation began…

The creature's snowy fur deepened into a rich midnight blue. His ears grew sharper, his eyes gleamed with spirit, his tail thickened and strengthened, and his fangs could now retract or extend at will.

"I'm done, Your Majesty!"

Sosi announced, brimming with excitement, awaiting the king's reaction.

But Agnarr only nodded quietly:

"Hm."

In truth, he was awestruck. He had heard much about Pact beasts… but never before had he seen one with his own eyes. Still, he chose not to show his wonder in front of the children.

He then declared firmly:

"From this day forth, his name is Soth. He is no longer the savage wolf that terrorized our city. Understood?"

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

The three answered in unison.

The king smiled kindly:

"You may go now and get some rest. Tonight… a grand feast will be held. Don't be late."

The trio left the hall gleefully.

Agnarr remained alone. He walked to the window and whispered to himself:

"I pray their future is brighter than any of us can foresee…"

Soon after, a royal decree was distributed across the kingdom, officially closing the case of the "savage wolf incident," and declaring that the creature seen recently was not the same one who attacked the citizens earlier…

Hey guys, how's it going? The hero will appear as a baby in the next chapter, and there will be a time skip in the one after that. Also, just a quick thing—what name do you prefer: Susy, Susi, Sosi, Sossi, or Sothie? It's a minor detail, but I'd like to settle on one.
