The colossal Apokoliptian warship loomed in orbit, a menacing black silhouette against the stars. Inside, chaos reigned. A crimson blur tore through the labyrinthine corridors, leaving devastation in its wake. Scáthach, Queen of the Land of Shadows, was an unstoppable force. Her spear, Gáe Bolg, struck with precise lethality, ripping through the alien crew like paper. Screams echoed through the cold metal halls as her prey fell, one by one, their advanced weaponry failing to halt her approach.

She moved like a specter, her eyes glowing faintly red, her black battle attire shimmering with runic enchantments. The last surviving soldier raised a shaking blaster, his hand trembling as she stepped closer.

"Mercy… please," he stammered.

Scáthach's voice was cold and unyielding. "You serve darkness willingly. No mercy for the damned."

Her spear moved in a blur, silencing him. The soldier's body crumpled to the ground, joining the others. Scáthach flicked the blood from her weapon with an almost ritualistic grace before stepping into the central command chamber.

The chamber was cavernous, filled with screens displaying planetary readouts and Apokoliptian schematics. At its heart stood Devilance the Pursuer, his massive form casting a shadow over the room. His Apokoliptian lance rested casually in one hand, but his presence alone radiated menace.

"Impressive," Devilance said, his deep voice resonating like rolling thunder. "You cut through my crew like wheat before the scythe."

Scáthach walked forward, her movements unhurried, yet charged with purpose. "They were nothing but tools of darkness. My spear thirsted for greater prey."

Devilance chuckled, the sound devoid of humor. "And now you stand before me, thinking yourself my equal? Foolish mortal."

Scáthach tilted her head, a small smile playing at her lips. "I am no mortal. I am Scáthach, the Queen of Shadows, and your end has come."

Devilance's eyes narrowed. "You dare challenge the will of Darkseid? Even Raiden—the so-called chosen one—will fall before the Omega Force. Darkseid's victory is inevitable."

Scáthach's gaze hardened, her voice carrying an edge of unshakable conviction. "Raiden is more than you or your master comprehend. He is my student, the one destined to surpass me. He will not fall because I will ensure he reaches the end of his path. If it means carving through the hordes of Apokolips, I will do so without hesitation."

Devilance smirked, raising his lance. "Bold words. Let's see if you can back them up."

With a roar, he charged, his lance crackling with Apokoliptian energy. Scáthach met him head-on, Gáe Bolg igniting with her cursed mana. The clash of their weapons sent shockwaves through the chamber, shattering consoles and ripping the floor apart.

Devilance swung his lance in a wide arc, unleashing a destructive wave of energy that tore through the room. Scáthach leapt above the blast, twisting mid-air and hurling a volley of rune-imbued projectiles. They struck Devilance with precision, but his dense, godlike form absorbed much of the impact.

"You'll have to do better than that!" Devilance taunted, thrusting his lance with blinding speed.

Scáthach parried with Gáe Bolg, the cursed spear's edge glowing brighter as she channeled her power. "As you wish."

She invoked her first Noble Phantasm. "Gáe Bolg: Barbed Spear of Mortal Pain!"

The spear's curse activated, twisting reality to ensure a fatal strike. The attack bypassed Devilance's defenses, piercing his side. He roared in pain, staggering but refusing to fall.

"You dare wound me?" he growled, his voice filled with fury. "You'll pay for that!"

He retaliated with a barrage of energy blasts, each one powerful enough to vaporize steel. Scáthach darted through the onslaught, her movements impossibly fast, her spear deflecting the blasts she couldn't evade.

Their battle raged, each strike shaking the warship to its core. Devilance's strength was overwhelming, but Scáthach's skill and precision kept her one step ahead. She struck at his joints, his vital points, forcing him to defend constantly.

As their weapons clashed again, Devilance grinned despite the blood seeping from his wound. "This ship cannot withstand our power. It will fall—and you with it."

Scáthach's smile was grim. "Then let it fall. I will endure."

The warship groaned under the strain, its structural integrity failing. Alarms blared as the vessel began to descend, caught in Earth's gravitational pull. Flames erupted across the command chamber as the ship entered the atmosphere, its hull tearing apart from the pressure.

Despite the chaos, the two warriors fought on, neither giving an inch. Scáthach's spear danced like a crimson blur, each thrust aimed with lethal intent. Devilance countered with ferocity, his lance crackling with destructive energy as he unleashed devastating blows.

The ship's descent accelerated, debris flying in every direction. The burning atmosphere illuminated the battlefield in fiery hues as it hurtled toward Earth. Both combatants seemed oblivious to their impending crash, consumed entirely by their duel.

Finally, the ship broke apart completely, scattering wreckage across the sky as it plummeted toward a desolate stretch of land below. Scáthach and Devilance, both battered but unyielding, emerged from the wreckage, their battle far from over.

...

The flames of the crash still licked the air, painting the horizon a brilliant orange. Scáthach stood in the debris of Devilance's shattered warship, her bloodied spear gripped tightly in her hand. Around her, the Earth seemed to tremble under the weight of the power radiating from the two warriors. Devilance rose from the wreckage, brushing aside twisted metal like mere leaves.

"You fight well, mortal," Devilance admitted, his deep voice resonating with grudging respect. "But no mortal can match the will of the Lord of Darkness. Raiden's rebellion will crumble as surely as you will. He is nothing before the infinite might of Darkseid. You delay the inevitable."

Scáthach's gaze was as sharp as her spear. "I have seen kings rise and fall, gods crumble before their hubris. Raiden is no ordinary warrior. He is the one chosen to end the eternal cycle of despair that your master has cast upon existence. As his teacher, I will not falter. Not before him, not before you."

Devilance let out a booming laugh, dark and derisive. "So, you place your hope in a student? A mortal boy? Foolish. Darkseid's victory is absolute, inevitable, eternal. And yet, I will give you this: you are the first to push me this far. I shall grant you the honor of witnessing my ultimate power."

With that, the air grew cold and oppressive, laden with an aura that even Scáthach—a being forged in the fires of war and death—could feel gnawing at her resolve. Devilance's body was enveloped in a shroud of dark, unholy energy. The ground beneath him cracked and blackened as he stood taller, his alien features twisting into something even more monstrous.

"This," Devilance roared, "is Youm Al Qiyamah—the Day of Judgment, a gift from Lord Darkseid himself, bestowed only upon his most trusted Servants, The Three Pillars of the End!"

As the dark aura consumed him, the world around them changed. The sky bled into an unnatural hue, and the sun—if it could still be called that—rose unnervingly from the west, casting the land in an eerie half-light. The landscape stretched into a barren, lifeless desert, where the winds whispered of doom and the horizon was lined with the shadows of grotesque figures.

Scáthach's crimson eyes narrowed as the monstrous army materialized. Hundreds, no—thousands—of grotesque creatures crawled from the ground and surged toward Devilance like moths to flame. Their twisted bodies were covered in jagged scales, their sharp teeth gleaming with malice. They were the Yajuj and Majuj: beings of chaos and devastation.

"These are the harbingers of annihilation," Devilance declared. "Yajuj and Majuj, born of the end of days, my army to reduce all to ruin. Not even you, Scáthach, can stand against their might."

Scáthach adjusted her grip on Gáe Bolg, the spear gleaming with anticipation. She chuckled darkly. "A pitiful imitation of a Reality Marble. How amusing. Let us see if your army can quench the thirst of Death itself."

The creatures surged forward in a tide of malice, screaming and gnashing their teeth. Scáthach was a blur of motion, meeting the onslaught head-on. Her spear danced through the air, each thrust and sweep sending waves of crimson light into the creatures. The ground erupted with her summoned spears, piercing tens of Yajuj and Majuj at once, leaving the battlefield littered with their corpses.

Still, they came, endless and unrelenting.

From the heart of the chaos, Devilance charged, his glaive slashing with devastating force. Scáthach barely deflected the blow, the shockwave sending her skidding across the cracked earth. The monsters swarmed again, claws slashing and teeth gnashing. Scáthach fought like a demon, her body moving with supernatural precision, but even she began to show signs of wear.

Her armor was cracked and blood seeped from countless wounds, yet her smile remained. It was a savage, knowing grin.

"Still smiling, warrior?" Devilance taunted, his tone mocking but tinged with admiration. "You will die here, but at least you will die with honor."

Scáthach spat blood but laughed. "It is you who will die today, Devilance. You've played your part well, but you face not just a warrior—" Her voice grew cold, her aura oppressive. "—you face Death itself."

Devilance roared in anger and lunged again, his glaive descending like a guillotine. Scáthach sidestepped and drove Gáe Bolg deep into his shoulder, twisting it viciously before leaping back. Blood gushed from the wound, but Devilance merely laughed, his dark aura flaring again.

"You amuse me, mortal. But your time is up."

The Yajuj and Majuj surged again, overwhelming Scáthach. She fought valiantly, her spears rising from the ground in droves, impaling dozens, but their numbers seemed infinite. For a moment, it seemed the tide was turning against her.

Then she stopped, straightened, and raised her spear.

"It's over, Devilance," she said, her voice a death knell. "I grant you the honor of being swallowed by the very gates of the underworld. This is the end."

She slammed Gáe Bolg into the ground, and the air around her grew still. The sky above them tore open, revealing an enormous gate carved with ancient runes, its edges writhing with spectral energy. The Gate of Skye. From it poured an overwhelming force, a vortex that began to pull everything into its depths.

The Yajuj and Majuj screamed as they were dragged into the gate, their monstrous forms disintegrating into nothingness as they crossed its threshold. Devilance dug his glaive into the ground, resisting the pull with all his might, his eyes wide with desperation.

"No! This cannot be! Darkseid, save me!" he bellowed, his voice trembling with fear for the first time.

Scáthach approached him with measured steps, her gaze cold and unyielding. "There is no salvation for you. Not here. Not anywhere."

Devilance clung to the edges of the gate, his body halfway inside as he screamed in agony. Scáthach leapt forward and drove her foot into his face, sending him hurtling into the abyss. His screams echoed as the gates closed, sealing him in the land of death forever.

Scáthach stood amidst the wreckage, the barren landscape slowly dissolving as the Reality Marble collapsed. Her wounds bled freely, but her expression was calm. The battle was won, and Death had claimed its due.
