Farmboy becomes King with the Lust System

Chapter 56: Byun’s brother

Byun lounged in the academy's grand hall, the air warm with the scent of polished wood and the faint hum of mana from lingering enchantments. The high ceiling arched above, its stone beams casting long shadows under the glow of chandeliers, their soft light dancing across the scattered tables

He slouched deeper into the chair, letting his blond hair fall messily over his eyes as he idly twirled a quill between his fingers, more out of habit than intent.

His expression was neutral but carried the heavy stamp of boredom, the kind that settled in after too many days without purpose.

The academy still buzzed with the fallout from the recent tournament, students and teachers alike discussing Jae's unexpected victory in whispered awe or disbelief.

Byun could hear their voices even now, muffled through the thick walls, a distant echo of energy that failed to reach him.

His mind, however, was not still. It circled back to the tournament match, his match, where he had faced Jae and lost. The memory stung. Not just the physical pain of the duel, but the bruising hit to his pride.

That thought was interrupted by the soft, nervous approach of footsteps. A younger student appeared, barely more than a first-year, his robes slightly oversized and wrinkled from what looked like a rushed dressing. The boy clutched a sealed letter in both hands, his gaze flicking anxiously between the letter and Byun. "Um… Byun, sir. This came for you," the boy said, his voice breaking slightly as he extended the parchment.

Byun raised a brow, his fingers still twirling the quill as he lazily held out his free hand. The wax seal glinted in the chandelier's light, and the moment he saw the crest, his family's sigil, his casual air faded.

The quill stilled. His fingers closed over the letter, and he waved the boy off with a dismissive flick. Once alone again, he cracked the seal and unfolded the fine paper. His eyes scanned the message in silence.

The language was formal, the tone unmistakably urgent. His family's handwriting was familiar, but the words brought a sour taste to his mouth.

It was a summons.

Of course it was.

He sighed, a deep, tired sound that carried into the quiet air around him. Folding the letter with slow deliberation, he tucked it into the inside pocket of his cloak and rose from his chair.

The comfort of the hall seemed to recede with each step he took, his boots making soft thuds on the stone floor as he headed for the exit.

Outside, the weather had shifted. The warm afternoon light was fading beneath a veil of thick clouds, and the air carried the crisp bite of approaching rain. Orange and brown leaves drifted across the path, swirling in tiny eddies as a breeze swept through the courtyard. Byun walked with practiced ease, his cloak trailing behind him, his thoughts growing heavier with every stride.

At the academy's towering iron gates stood a figure, tall, rigid, dressed in robes so pristine they looked untouched by travel. His black hair was combed immaculately, and a silver-embroidered book was open in his hands, which he read with quiet focus.

The moment Byun approached, the man looked up, his green eyes cool and appraising.

Dae .

Byun recognized him immediately. His older brother. Perfect posture. Perfect manners. Perfect disappointment.

"Brother," Byun greeted, his voice a shade too cheerful, layered in sarcasm as he gave a mocking half-bow. "What an unexpected delight."

Dae didn't smile. He rarely did. "Drop the attitude," he said flatly, his eyes scanning Byun from head to toe. "Did you read the letter?"

Byun exhaled loudly, then nodded. "Yeah. I read it. Every irritating word."

"Then we leave," Dae said briskly, already turning toward the path that led downhill from the academy. "A storm is coming. We don't have time to waste."

Byun stared at him. "Now? You're serious?"

DAE didn't slow. "Do I ever joke?"

Byun cursed under his breath but followed, boots crunching over gravel. As they neared the gate, the academy's gatekeeper stepped forward, a large man with a stern brow. "You can't just.."

Dae interrupted smoothly, flashing the family crest from his cloak. The golden emblem gleamed like an unspoken command. The gatekeeper paused, grunted, and stepped aside.

Byun offered a shrug and a half-hearted grin as he passed as if to say "Not my idea."

Since winning the tournament, Jae had noticed something strange. The system, which had once summoned him nightly into that dark, beast-filled cave to complete bloody trials, had gone quiet. No glowing notifications. No new monster targets. No demands.

At first, he had been suspicious. Was it temporary? Was something worse coming? But as the days passed and the silence continued, he allowed himself to relax, just a little. And in that space of peace, he found something unexpected: time.

Time to be with Elise.

Most nights now were spent in the warmth of his room, the two of them curled up together, talking, laughing, and falling deeper into whatever this new thing between them was. But some nights, like tonight, things took a more heated turn.

The room was dimly lit, the air heavy with the kind of tension that made the silence feel alive. Elise sat on the bed, legs crossed, her smile soft and teasing as Jae stepped closer.

"I want to sleep with you," he said, voice low and intent. "But not in the bed tonight."

She tilted her head, curious. "Oh?"

He leaned down, brushing her hair from her cheek. "I want you bent over the desk."

Elise giggled, eyes dancing with playful anticipation. "That so?"

Before she could say more, Jae lifted her effortlessly into his arms. She gave a small gasp, wrapping her arms around his neck as he carried her across the room. The wooden desk was clear, bathed in soft moonlight through the nearby window

He set her down gently and stepped back just a bit. "Bend over for me," he said, voice husky.

Elise didn't hesitate. She turned and leaned forward, resting her elbows on the desk's surface, arching her back just enough.

Her skirt rose with the motion, revealing her pink pussy lips glistening between her thighs.
