Fantasy Realm — Naruto: Blood-Mist

Chapter 316: Drastic Actions—The Fun Way

"Small forest-house… used for storing smuggled drugs years ago…. Now one of Zabuza's hideouts. I've been there myself," Gatō desperately explains, blood dripping from his mouth.

"It's close! It's in the small forest on the north-eastern island adjacent to this one. That island only has a small village on its southern coast, but it's connected to this island by a small strip of land. You can get there on foot. Please leave me alone! Kill them, spare me! I'll even pay you!" Gatō continues, his voice growing ever more desperate.

"It's a deal… however, it all depends on your next answer. Tell me where you keep your wealth and precious treasures. We only take what we can carry. It's a good deal for you. We are not interested in material things!" Menchi continues, her eyes showing a hint of greed.

"My wealth is all distributed into my businesses. I only keep a few million Ryō with me… you can have it!"

Menchi smiles, but her expression takes on a ruthless edge as she uses her knife to cut off one of Gatō's fingers. "The next time, it will be an eye. Then your dick. Then your head! WHERE DO YOU KEEP YOUR TREASURES?"

What the fuck… this is too much for me!

Maybe Soulmate should keep his distance from Menchi if he doesn't want his dick cut off.

Shut up, Jewel, that one is a cheap shot.

Gatō pleads, "I'm sorry!! The underground… there is… next to the receptionist is a small door. She has the key. However, that key alone is not enough. There's seemingly a dead end behind it, but there's a secret door, barely visible."

"Tell me how to access it. If we fail, we will burn down the entire building in anger and come back to hunt you for the rest of your life… if you just surrender it, you will never see us again," Menchi says, giving him a glimpse of hope.

"FINE! The key is hidden in my drawer! There is a false bottom—you can only open it by using the thin metal rod placed inside the flower pot near one of the windows."

Alex nods and searches all the flower pots until he indeed finds a thin rod. He then opens the various drawers on Gatō's desk until he finds one with a small hole.

"I think I got it," Alex says with a smile as he inserts the rod into it, allowing him to remove the top part of the drawer, revealing another compartment with a single, extremely large and detailed key.

"Anything else we'll need? If we fail, say goodbye to your business and your life!" Menchi threatens, placing her knife on another finger, gently cutting into it.

"No… please!! I swear!" Gatō pleads desperately, his finger beginning to bleed, his entire body shaking, causing the knife to cut into his finger with every vibration as he desperately tries to suppress his scream.

"Okay… you have earned a clean death then… goodbye!" Menchi says, using her other knife to cut off Gatō's head in a clean swipe, his eyes twitching one last time, revealing shock and anger.

Damn, she is scary… Fuck, this gives me the shivers.

A white chest appears, and Menchi promptly picks it up and throws it toward Alex, who catches it with a rather disappointed look.

Princess Jewel is not impressed—she could do better.

"You can't even talk, Jewel. Now just stop sulking about your boring legs and let's grab whatever he has to offer."

"Yeah… for once, there's a ton of cash here. I'll grab this too. Might as well give it to the villagers as long as we can't spend it," Alex says, pocketing Gatō's money lying around inside the drawers.

"So, how do we get down there? Jump back out of the window and then enter through the main entrance? The reception should be right there," Alex carefully analyzes.

"What a smart, effective, but hopelessly boring approach. I thought you wanted to go all out, Alex?" Menchi says, licking her knife. "It's been a while… I'm in the mood for a little action."

Alex looks at her in shock. "Don't lick that blood, it's disgusting, unsanitary, and not very cle—"

"I didn't lick up the blood, you silly goose," she says, kissing Alex, instantly shutting him up.

After a few seconds, as Jewel pounces on her head, jumping up and down, she finally stops, licks her lips, and says:

"Let's take the fun path. We'll go down from here and kill everyone we encounter. I'm a little disappointed this creep didn't drop a high-quality chest—maybe his bodyguards will drop at least a few chests too. Let's make up for quality with quantity. Do you agree, my student? You've never really seen me fight… how about you take this opportunity to study a little, for old time's sake."

I'm not stupid enough to talk back to her when she's like that. Damn, she is scary… why do I like this so much?

"Yes, ma'am… lead the way," Alex says.

"Good boy!"

Princess Jewel will find the most treasure chests!

Alex steps forward, approaching the door. He draws his [Executioner's Blade], activates Ren, and kicks the door open.

Alex notices Gatō's two bodyguards, Zōri and Waraji, suddenly turning around, their eyes shifting from calm to surprised.

Ko!

Without hesitation, Alex swings his blade, containing his entire Aura output, cleaving both of them in half.

You have dealt 186 damage to Zōri.

You have killed Zōri.

You have dealt 211 damage to Waraji.

You have killed Waraji.

Damn, this sword packs a punch, but my entire body feels the might behind that strike. Is this even the same system I'm used to? With my skills every attack turns into a one-hit KO, at least against trash enemies like those. Damage is quickly becoming irrelevant!

Menchi whistles, clearly impressed. "I like it. It suits you."

Soulmate is incredible!

"Whatever…" Alex says, slightly blushing. He notices two more white chests on the ground, picking them up with a smile. "Looking good so far!"

"Now let's go!" Menchi says, walking toward the stairs leading down a floor.

"Wait… put on something. Anything," Alex says, taking out his own [Jack's Spare Silvery Mask], "we don't want to provoke them too much! Don't forget, legally they've done nothing wrong. We'll piss off a lot of people. Might as well try not to make it too obvious who's behind this. With my mask, maybe we can blame it on Zabuza… wait! You take the mask, you're slightly smaller than me, and you should look similar to Haku with it! I always carry some real-world bandages around. Let me just wrap them around my face like a total moron and there! I look like a clown, but so does Zabuza! Hehe, this is brilliant!"

"You are a born criminal, Alex," Menchi jokes as she takes the mask and puts it on.

Now with a shoddy disguise, the group descends to the next floor.

"Only kill the thugs and criminals… If you're not sure, spare them!" Alex orders.

I don't want to kill civilians if I can help it!

Menchi and Jewel rush through the building, looking for Gatō's hired thugs. Jewel pounces from wall to wall, sometimes jumping on an enemy and using her deadly Arachmagic Eight-Spear Style to kill them with just a few stabs.

Menchi, with her speed, just approaches them and separates their heads with her knives—her strikes carrying enough force to make them fly away, crashing against the nearby walls.

Alex, from time to time, also rushes toward an enemy, managing to kill them with a single stroke of his [Executioner's Blade], feeling the immense weight and power of it after every strike.

He also sees the blade absorbing a tiny amount of the enemy's blood, looking unnaturally sharp, the metal glistening with a magical luster.

After clearing out two stocks, the group notices that panic has started to occur.

"Enough, we got 2 more chests, that's good enough. If the receptionists flee we're screwed!" Alex yells in sudden realization.

The group descends to the ground floor and rushes toward a large counter, a few scared women staring at them in shock.

"Two choices. The key to the door Gatō uses from time to time… or I must assume you're truly loyal to Gatō, and I'll do what I have to do," Menchi says in a cold voice, using her Aura to put additional pressure on the two women.

One of them faints while the other immediately gives the key to Menchi, unable to speak—she points at the door.

"Good girl," Menchi says and pats her head. "Now run away, little one!"

The girl, half-dragging her friend, slowly walks away, as numerous other people also leave the building.

Menchi uses the key to access the door, which reveals stairs leading down to the underground.

Alex and Menchi follow the straight and narrow path, picking up a torch which Alex quickly lights up with a Fire spell. The stairs lead them deeper into the underground until they stop their descent and follow a short path leading to a dead end.

Alex carefully inspects his surroundings, "It's just a few chambers with cleaning supplies…"

"Yeah… sure!" Alex comments. "Gatō is not a very smart guy, is he? This screams suspicious. Why would they create stairs leading underground, make intruders walk this path, and then expect them to be satisfied with cleaning supplies? This is dumb!"

Menchi uses Gyo, scans the room, and kicks away one cabinet with supplies, revealing a small hole in the wall.

Alex quickly inserts the key, and a hidden door opens, revealing a large hidden room behind.

As Alex enters, the torches light, illuminating the room. Alex can't help but be surprised—there are weapons, armor, supplies, but most importantly, Alex stares at a few brightly sparkling metal bars lying on a piece of cloth.

The room… it's filled with weapons… and gold!!
