Fairy Tail: Strongest Creature

Su Yan scratched his head. "Ahh~! Sure enough, the usual villain speech. With a lunatic like that leading this country, it's no wonder it turned out so twisted."

"Vanish, you bastard!" King Faust howled. "All who dare oppose Edolas—be gone!!!"

He maneuvered Dorma Anim to open its mouth, revealing a muzzle-like structure. Powerful magic energy began converging there, a complex magic circle forming in front of it.

"Hey! Your own soldiers are still down here," Su Yan remarked.

"It is their honor to sacrifice themselves for our great Edolas!" Faust snapped.

"Disappear! Dragon Roar Cannon!!!"

A huge beam of light blasted toward Su Yan's position.

Su Yan sighed. "At least ask them if they want to!"

Boom—!

The laser scorched the area in a blazing explosion, almost like a miniature sun rising. After a while, the smoke cleared, revealing a giant crater—but Su Yan still stood there unhurt, Erza Knightwalker right behind him.

Because Su Yan had shielded her, she suffered only mild shock damage. It hardly worsened her existing injuries.

"You…why did you…?" Erza Knightwalker's voice was full of confusion. Only moments ago, she'd been trying to kill this man—and she was still an enemy of Fairy Tail. Why did he save her?

"I don't have a big reason," Su Yan said. "I just can't stand it when someone sacrifices their own subordinates to win a fight."

After seven years in Fairy Tail, Su Yan had taken on the guild's values. Even if someone was his enemy, using one's allies as pawns to be discarded was something he despised.

King Faust sneered. "You survived…but how long can you keep up under my attacks? I'm aware you Earthland wizards have practically endless magic—but it still takes time for you to recover. You must've spent a lot of magic on all those flashy moves."

"So that's why you didn't mind bombing your own men—to wear me down," Su Yan observed coldly. "Well then, let's see which runs out first: my magic, or your luck."

At that, he sprang forward. This man was the real mastermind behind Magnolia being turned into a magic crystal. Su Yan had no intention of showing him any mercy.

He leaped high and slammed his fist toward Dorma Anim's head.

Controlled by Faust, Dorma Anim lurched backward just in time.

Su Yan's blow struck the ground instead.

Boom—!!!

The earth split apart under the impact.

"Boy, I noticed your freakish power earlier," Faust crowed from inside his mechanical dragon. "I won't be caught off guard again. Dragon Rider Launch!!!"

The dragon's back opened, releasing a barrage of homing projectiles at Su Yan.

Raising one hand, conqueror's haki swirled around him, taking shape as a long sword. He hurled sword blasts at the missiles.

Boom boom boom!!

All the incoming shots detonated midair, and the rest of the haki-blades crashed into Dorma Anim in a chaotic eruption of explosions.

When the smoke finally dispersed, Dorma Anim was still standing—its entire surface now pitch black.

"Hahahahaha!" Faust's voice boomed through the metal. "Useless! This is the Black Sky Mode of Dorma Anim, made from the strongest anti-magic armor. Attacks like yours can't pierce it!

"And don't think you can outlast my magic supply. With Black Sky Mode active, Dorma Anim constantly draws on Edolas's magic. As long as any magic remains in this world, I can keep fighting! You have no chance!"

Su Yan sighed. "Typical villain talk: boast about all your secrets so your enemy knows exactly what you do."

Even as he spoke, he charged forward again.

"Dragon Rider Diffusion Bomb!!!"

Dorma Anim unleashed a massive volley of magical shells at point-blank range, creating another blinding series of blasts around Su Yan.

"Idiot!" Faust jeered. "Black Sky Mode multiplies Dorma Anim's firepower several times over! Don't compare it to run-of-the-mill magic!"

But as the smoke parted, Su Yan's figure remained. This time, his entire body looked pitch black—as though covered in ink. In reality, it was hardened armament haki coating him from head to toe.

"H-how is that possible?!"

"Don't think you're the only one who can 'go black,'" Su Yan said drily, letting the black coating fade from his skin.

"Shukufuku!" 

He launched himself right up to Dorma Anim, driving a punishing fist into its head.

The giant mechanical beast crashed to the ground, leaving a crater in its wake.

"Waaaaah!!" Faust screamed inside the cockpit, caught in the seismic force.

Su Yan then appeared behind Dorma Anim, grabbed its tail with one hand, and lifted.

"What are you doing?!" Faust shouted, suddenly feeling the machine lurch upward.
