Chapter 10: Chapter 10
"Your parents aren't coming?" Lucas, who had no one to play with, was happy to see Aaron sitting in the corner, thinking that he had found his friends. "My mom isn't coming."
Aaron didn't even bother to look back. Lucas was worried and thought to himself, "They're so busy, why didn't you say anything?" After a long while without hearing Aaron speak, Lucas finally couldn't help but ask.
"I don't have parents," Aaron said very unhappily.
"How is that possible? My mom said that every child will have parents." Lucas looked at Aaron seriously and said, "She said that we all have parents." These two little angels, although their circumstances were different, were the same. Lucas didn't know what parents were, but he didn't want to admit it or didn't know at all that he didn't have parents either.
"You go." Aaron finally couldn't stand Lucas anymore. But Lucas didn't care at all. "Oh, how did you get this toy?" Lucas glanced at Aaron's hand, which was holding the toy he had always wanted.
"Can I borrow it for a while? I'll give it to you." Lucas took out the Transformers from his pocket.
"I don't want to give it to you." Aaron pushed Lucas angrily. Lucas's reaction was slow, and before he could understand what was happening, Aaron had already pushed him to the ground.
Lucas was stunned for two seconds, then suddenly stood up and cried loudly. Aaron saw Lucas crying, his hands and feet were a little flustered.
"What's wrong, Lucas?" The teacher heard the crying and ran over to see what was going on.
"He pushed me." Lucas cried very painfully. He just wanted to borrow Aaron's toy, but he didn't expect him to push him. Lucas's classmates all ran to help Lucas, and for a moment, Aaron became the target of everyone's criticism.
Lucas cried nonstop, and the teacher had no choice but to call Nina.
"Hello, is this Lucas's mother? Something happened to Lucas. Can you come here for a moment?"
Nina heard that something was wrong with Lucas and rushed over.
"Lucas." Nina was very panicked because the teacher did not explain clearly and she did not know what happened.
"Mom." Lucas saw Nina coming and immediately ran over.
"It's good that you are not hurt, you scared me to death." Nina hugged Lucas tightly in her arms, her worry still not stopping.
At this time, everyone was surrounding Lucas, taking care of and comforting him, so no one asked about little Aaron who was standing next to him. He looked at Nina as the other boy's mother. "Lucas, tell me what happened?"
"It was him, he pushed me." Lucas pointed outside the group but at this time Aaron did not know where he had run off to.
"Lucas, are you the one who caused trouble for someone?"
"No, mom. I just want to borrow his things to play with for a bit." Lucas bowed his head.
"Good, do you want to stay here and play or go home with me?"
"Go home, there's nothing better than going home while playing here."
"Good." From the orphanage to the door, Lucas was always excited, and Nina's face always showed a look of indulgence, which Aaron, who was hiding beside him, saw clearly. He raised his little arm, stubbornly wiping away the tears streaming down the corners of his eyes, and ran like the wind into the lunch break area.
---
Leonard finished his company's work and quickly drove towards the orphanage, at this time Nina was leading Lucas out of the gate, they had just left when Leonard arrived, and he happened to see their backs.
"This woman looks like a flower delivery person." Leonard stopped the car and quickly walked to the director's office.
"Mr. Leonard, nice to meet you." The director of the orphanage was a middle-aged woman with a very gentle attitude. She knew that Leonard had come because of Aaron, so she had prepared all the information about Aaron in advance. "Here is Aaron's information. Please take a look." Leonard opened the document. The first page had many pictures of a skinny child.
"According to the hospital, Aaron was a premature baby. When he was born, he was very small and had difficulty breathing. I don't know if that's why his parents abandoned him. In short, Aaron is a very pitiful child."
Leonard didn't say a word and looked at the document seriously. It recorded everything about Aaron from the time he entered the orphanage until now. There was a column that recorded Aaron's physical condition. This boy's body seemed especially weak, probably because he was premature.
"Mr. Leonard..."
"Aaron's condition isn't very good, but director, please rest assured. I will adopt Aaron and send a maid to take special care of him in the future."
"Please forgive me for being so presumptuous. Mr. Leonard, why do you want to adopt Aaron?"
"This ability is fate." Leonard couldn't understand himself either.
"Hey, if there were more people like Mr. Leonard, maybe there would be fewer abandoned children in this society." The dean said with emotion.
"I want to go see Aaron."
"Okay." The dean picked up the phone and called the department in charge of Aaron's care. "Jenny, can you take Aaron to my office?"
"Why don't you let me go to Aaron to find him so he won't be stressed?"
"Aaron is one of those relatively weak children, let's go, I'll take you there."
The dean led Leonard to the playground. The boys and girls, as soon as they saw the dean, ran to surround her, but they didn't see Aaron.
"Did any of you see Aaron?" The dean asked.
"Just now, he and Lucas fought, and then Lucas was taken away by his mother. Aaron's gone." A boy said in a childish voice, following the dean closely.
"Fighting? How could that be?" The dean was surprised. In theory, Aaron would never hit anyone.
"Dean, where did Aaron go?" Leonard heard Aaron fighting and felt a little worried.
"Mr. Leonard, don't be hasty. The orphanage has very good security measures. Aaron will be fine. Let's go into the bedroom now and take a look. In the past, when Aaron had something unpleasant, he would hide there."
The rows of small beds were neatly arranged in the break room. The light that shone into the room carried a gloomy scent. The silence was filled with a sense of sadness.
"Aaron, where are you?" The dean gently called Aaron, but no one answered.
In the quiet air, a faint cry entered the dean's ears. "Listen." Leonard held his breath and carefully distinguished the direction of the sound. It came from the giant toy cabinet at the end of the room.
"Aaron." Leonard stepped forward, wanting to open the cabinet door, but the Dean pulled him back.
"Aaron, hide well. I'm here to find you." The Dean gently pulled the cabinet door open, and Aaron's tearful little face immediately appeared before their eyes.
"Aaron." Leonard hugged him tightly, Aaron buried his little face in his expensive suit and cried nonstop.
"Mr. Leonard, it seems that Aaron likes you." The Dean was very happy. "I will immediately give you the adoption procedures to confirm, I believe you will not disappoint our expectations."
Leonard gently stroked Aaron's little head. "Aaron, why are you crying?"
Aaron didn't say anything, just used his little hand to wipe away the tears on his face.
"Aaron, do you agree to go home with me?"
"Oh, right. Aaron, this is Mr. Leonard, he wants to adopt you, do you agree?" The head of the department gently touched his small face.
Aaron finally raised his head, he looked at the head of the department, "Mr. Leonard is my father?"
This matter seemed very simple but was very difficult for the two of them.
"Aaron, from now on, I will be your father."
Aaron looked at Leonard, he didn't understand this for a moment, but such a tall and handsome man was his father, this was truly the dream of many children.
"Today I accidentally pushed a friend down, it was all my fault, I'm so angry."
"It's Lucas, next time I see him, I will help you get revenge, and make his butt bloom." Leonard clenched his fists, and shyly turned to Aaron, making him laugh out loud.
"Good, good." The director also laughed, she didn't expect this person worth a trillion to have such a gentle side despite his cold appearance. "What fate. Mr. Leonard, please come with me to the office to do the paperwork."
After Leonard completed all the adoption procedures, he directly took Aaron home.
"Aaron, let's go home." Leonard was also a little worried, this was the first time in his life he had taken care of a child.
"Aaron, what do you like to eat?"
"Aaron, do you like to watch TV or play video games?"
Leonard asked a lot of questions but Aaron still didn't say anything after leaving the orphanage.
"Young master, you're back." Leonard had been living alone after the divorce, but his mother was worried that he couldn't take good care of himself, so she found a maid for him, July.
July was a little confused when she saw Leonard return with a child.
"Young master, this child..."
"That's right, July. This is my son, Aaron. You take him to take a bath first, I'll go buy baby supplies."
July was stunned, was this child the young master's son? Since when did he have such a big son? As soon as Leonard left, July hurriedly carried Aaron into the bathroom and started asking, "Your name is Aaron, right? Who is your mother?" But no matter what she asked, Aaron didn't say anything.
"So he's mute." July shook her head and said softly.
"You're the mute one." Aaron suddenly opened his mouth to speak. July was so scared that the towel in her hand fell to the ground.
