———————————————————

Knox read the systeminformation and was quite stunned.

Knox began to think to himself.

"What is a system administrator, and why had this one took notice of me"?

He had a feeling that they should be a pretty important person, and felt nervous thst he had caught their eye…

Knox unfortunately had no way to find information about them, so he could only worry about it later.

Knox still wondered though.

"Who or what is a system administrator, what is their goal or job?"

Knox didn't have very long to think about the topic, as he heard some russeling, it was coming from the tunnel leading towards the entrance room.

Knox was waiting patiently in his core room, and soon after a short period of time had past.

A small head had popped in through the core room "door", it immediately had turned Knox's attention.

The main door of the core room leading to the surface room, now had a small creature slowly making it's way in.

The creature was very small no taller than 4 feet tall, it also had rough dark green skin, compiling that with its mangled look, it left Knox quite the sight…

Knox knew from what little memories he still had from earth, it was a kobalt!

Knox looked towards the entryway and saw that thankfully, it was only one of the kobalts, and at that,it seemed to be a pretty weak kobalt.

That was atleast what knox thought, as he compared the kobalt in front of him, to the ones that he had seem in fantasy novels.

The mangly lvl 1 kobalt gatherer, was just moments away from entering the core room….

———————————————————

Knox was panicking ,and so he began thinking.

"That thing better be lucky that I dont have a body, otherwise I would stomp him with the ye old size 12's.

Knox thought to himself.

"Why am I such an idiot"?

Knox yelled at himself realizing that he was still joking, especially in such a serious moment.

Knox began to think.

"If Im planning on surviving this, then I'm going to have to hurry and think of something!"

Knox then began looking around the cave-like room, searching for something that could be useful in protecting himself.

The room was quite large, and even though it was pitch black, Knox could still see some of the rough shape of it.

It was semicircular and filled almost completely with stone and moss, there wasn't much in the room to be used.

Knox began to quicken his thoughts.

"There's not many options in this barren place,so what should I do, "?

"The only weapon I have would be the sharp stones protruding from the ceiling, But how would I make that work?

Knox wondered….

He luckily had a moment of enlightenment, and realized that the chances of him actually dealing fatal damage to the kobalt with the rock.

Would be slim at most…

So Knox decided that he would have to come up with a different plan.

A memory from his past life came to him!

Guerrilla warfare!

Knox thinking excitedly.

"What if I set traps, just like how to vietnamese soilders did…".

He knew the idea wasn't solid, but at this point it would have to work.

So Knox made his move, he used 5 mana to make a pit fall 15 ft deep, with stone about .35 millimeter thick placed over the top of it.

So that once any kobalt stepped onto it, the trap would immediately break, causing the kobalt to fall down and hopefully perish.

———————————————————

Knox began thinking to himself...…

"This had better work, because if not, then I doubt that I will get another chance at being reincarnated".

As Knox floated patiently watching and waiting, the first kobalt had finally entered the core room.

The kobalt standing at the end of the path, looked around, it was trying to see if it could spot anything in the room that could be dangerous.

The only thing that the kobalt could see in the darkness, was a dark blue sphere shining beautifully in the of back of the room.

The sphere shined radiantly with dense overflowing mana, causing most creatures to naturally be attracted to it.

The cowardly kobalt made the decision that it would be best to wait and see, and if the gemstone had a owner it would leave.

However if the gemstome had no owner, and no one happened to show up, well then the kobalt couldn't be blamed for collecting the shiny gem could it?

Kobalt one greedily thought to itself

"Well if it's just sitting there all alone, what would be the harm of taking it"?

After about 5 minutes of waiting patiently, the kobalt did not see anything move in the cave, leaving it with the unwise thought, that the cave was safe…

So finally no longer able to hold itself back, the kobalt decided to make his move.

He had rushed forward towards the gem however he didn't make it far, as the moment he took his third step...

The stone ground beneath him broke, sending the kobalt pummeling downwards toward the stone spikes laying in wait below…

Kobalt killed!!
