Dual Cultivator with a cultivation system

Chapter 314 Ch-314: Is this still a cultivation world or Sci-fi world?

The Spirit Dimension not only contained the densest spiritual energy in the sect—even surpassing that of the Peaks—but also housed valuable treasures like pills, techniques and weapons. Additionally, multiple entrances to the Spirit Dimension existed across the Black Bamboo Kingdom, and many of the top sects had been built around these entrances.

Shaking his head, Wang Ming followed the crowd toward the final section of the Inner Court, where the competition would take place.

After some time, Wang Ming, along with the others, arrived at the last section of the Inner Court—the Serpent Building. As its name suggested, the structure resembled a massive serpent, crafted from a special material.

The body of the serpent was made of black jade, adorned with intricate, glowing golden scales, which were composed of gold-colored jade. Wang Ming observed multiple arrays carved into the surface of the building, their inscriptions radiating a faint mystical aura.

They continued forward, approaching the entrance—a wide-open serpent's mouth, as if ready to swallow all who dared to enter. Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire

'Am I in the cultivation world or a sci-fi world?' Wang Ming's lips twitched as he took in the scene before him.

The room was filled with array inscriptions covering the walls, but what surprised Wang Ming the most was the presence of large capsules. Yes, capsules—just like the ones he had read about in novels on Earth, typically used for VR gaming. This was also similar to the Cultivation tower and you had to pay contribution points to use.

"This is the more advanced version of the training facility where the beast hunting competition will take place," the elder said to the awe-struck disciples, who turned to look at him.

"Elder, what are these capsules and those black clothes?" one of the disciples asked, pointing toward the black robes placed beside the capsules.

"Elder, where are the beasts? How are we supposed to hunt them?" another disciple asked in confusion. The rest of the disciples were equally puzzled.

"No need to be impatient. I'm explaining," the elder said with a smile.

"This is indeed the place where you will fight beasts—more specifically, you will fight them with the aid of these capsules and robes," the elder pointed toward the capsules before continuing.

"After you wear the robes and enter the capsule, your consciousness will slip into an artificial mind space created by array masters, where you will battle beasts," the elder explained.

A disciple raised his hand, and the elder nodded in acknowledgment.

"Elder, if our body is unconscious, what if someone attacks us while we're unable to defend ourselves?" the disciple asked with a frown, causing the elder to raise an eyebrow.

"If you're worried about someone harming your body while it is unconscious, you don't need to worry. The capsules have special protective arrays that will automatically eject you safely if they detect any external threats, regardless of cultivation level," the elder reassured them.

"Also, another thing to mention: all of your cultivation will be reduced to the first stage of the Qi-Gathering Realm, and you will have to find ways to increase it. The only way to do so is by killing beasts or other participants inside the mind space," the elder said, narrowing his eyes at the disciples. He noticed that some of them had become wary, eyeing each other with unknown intentions.

"For those planning on using the second method, I must inform you that other sects are also using the same mind space as us, and you will encounter them. Additionally, many powerful factions—including the top families of the Black Bamboo Kingdom and even the royal family—use this mind space to train their members. Their cultivation is very high, as they have been using it for a long time," the elder warned.

Hearing this, Wang Ming raised an eyebrow.

'Oh? Could I meet the princess again?' he thought, recalling a certain princess he had spanked before.

"Elder, isn't this unfair? What if they attack us, and we die before even meeting the requirements? Won't we fail automatically?" a disciple asked, his expression uneasy.

The elder's expression turned frosty.

"If that happens, it just means you were unlucky. Luck is also a part of strength. Moreover, those with high cultivation inside the mind space are in greater danger, so it's unlikely you will encounter them," the elder responded coldly.

"Now, go and put on the training suits, then enter the capsules. Remember, the Peak Masters will be watching your entire performance," the elder added. Hearing this, every disciple hurriedly grabbed their suit and rushed to change.

'Hmm, I forgot to mention the ranking system… Not that it matters. They won't reach it so soon, even if there are monsters,' the elder thought, glancing at Wang Ming and Bai Lingxi.

The elder's eyes shifted toward the entrance, which was already closed, and he noticed a disciple standing outside, saying something. However, due to the sound insulation array, he couldn't hear anything, so he walked toward the door.

"Hmm? What are you doing here? Don't you know this place is occupied?" the elder asked as he eyed the female disciple wearing inner court robes.

"Elder, my name is Min Li. I apologize, I am an Outer Court disciple, but I am also supposed to participate," Min Li said in an anxious voice.

'Someone from the Min Family, huh?' the elder scrutinized her again.

"I see. Why are you late? And why are you wearing Inner Court robes? I could expel you from the sect for this, as you are still not an Inner Court disciple. Moreover, where did you get them?" the elder asked in a stern voice.

"Elder, these were given to me by Peak Master Zhou Huxin. I forgot to change," Min Li said embarrassedly, causing the elder's eyes to widen.

'Did the Peak Master recruit her beforehand?' the elder thought, feeling curious.

"Explain," the elder demanded.

Min Li then explained everything—how she had joined Jade Peak before the results were announced. The elder's expression changed, his interest growing as he examined her again.

"Alright, you may go," the elder finally said.

Min Li entered, her eyes darting around the room. She saw that all the capsules were already occupied, and panic began to rise within her—until her eyes landed on an empty capsule near a group of familiar disciples.
