Dual Cultivator with a cultivation system

Chapter 313 Ch-313: Sections of the Inner Court

"Who? Just some mere Outer Court disciple," Fang Juan replied with a frown, wondering if there was something special about them.

'Are they from a powerful family or clan? I've never heard of them before.' He wasn't stupid, but he couldn't recall recognizing them from any influential background.

"Heh… Mere, you say? Hah. Now listen to me—don't provoke them, or I won't be able to save your ass next time. You might even end up dead," the elder warned before vanishing from sight.

"W-What? D-Dead?" Fang Juan stuttered as he watched his uncle's back disappear without even looking back at him. He was completely dumbfounded and incredulous when he heard that he might end up dead if he provoked them.

"Ugh, you could have been gentler," he cursed. After a few minutes, he snapped out of his daze and hissed in pain when he looked down at his ankle, which was fractured. His uncle had tossed him onto the ground with such force, like a piece of trash, leaving him feeling aggrieved.

"Hmph, I'll just see for myself what's so special about them that made him behave like this," Fang Juan said with a snort after struggling to stand up. He was still reluctant and angry in his heart, but after his uncle's warning, he was no longer as impulsive and arrogant as before. He instead raised his guard and will act only if he thinks he can win.

According to the information he had, Wang Ming and Bai Lingxi would be participating in the beast-hunting competition, like all newcomers taking the Inner Court disciple examination. He planned to watch their performance, still convinced that they couldn't be better than him—someone ranked in the top 1000 disciples of the sect.

As there was still time before they had to report to their destination, the elder accompanying them decided to give a tour of the Inner Court. Even if someone failed to achieve the minimum score in this round, they would have the opportunity to retry next time. By showing them the impressive facilities, the elder hoped to inspire them and make them work harder.

The Inner Court, spanning hundreds of square kilometers, was divided into multiple sections.

The first place Wang Ming and the girls visited was the Lecture Zone, where the lecture halls were located. This area was primarily frequented by disciples who had little interest in combat. However, just because this place wasn't focused on fighting didn't mean it was any less significant. Lectures on Alchemy, Blacksmithing, and Arrays were conducted here. Additionally, this was where the Pill Hall, Weapon Store, and Array Hall were located.

Next was the training ground, where disciples sparred against one another or trained with golems to practice their techniques and enhance their combat awareness.

Further away from the training ground was the disciple market. This place was bustling with activity as disciples sold weapons, pills, beast cores, and other valuable items they had acquired outside the sect. Occasionally, someone might even auction off a rare treasure, which could attract the interest of Core Disciples and even Elders. The market was filled with various stores, and there was even a section dedicated to massage parlors, operated by both male and female disciples.

Next was the mission hall, which was similar to the one in the Outer Court, but much larger and more luxurious. The missions available here offered significantly greater rewards. However, with higher rewards came higher risks, and it was not uncommon for disciples to lose their lives while undertaking these missions.

Right beside the mission hall was the treasury, which contained various raw resources such as herbs for alchemy, ores for forging weapons, and beast cores.

Next was the No Disciple Area, which served as the residence for elders who were not Peak Masters. However, Core Disciples were exceptions, as they held a status similar to most elders. This section of the Inner Court also housed one of the most important buildings—the Technique Hall.

The Technique Hall was a forbidden area, accessible only to the highest-ranked individuals with the permission of the Sect Leader or Supreme Elder. The reason for its restricted access was that it safeguarded all the sect's secret techniques, some even comparable to Heavenly Rank techniques. Compared to other resources, techniques were far more valuable, as they were much rarer than raw materials.

Then came the most prominent location in the entire sect, one that even Core Disciples and Elders used whenever they had the opportunity—the Cultivation Tower. It was a massive, towering structure made of white marble, with numerous floors. Each floor was equipped with a special array that concentrated spiritual energy from the surroundings into the rooms, significantly accelerating the cultivation process.

Of course, using the tower was not free; it required contribution points. The higher the floor, the denser the spiritual energy and the more expensive it became. Bai Lingxi and the girls were stunned when they saw it for the first time.

'So this is the Spirit Dimension, huh?' Wang Ming thought as he gazed at the top floor. Unlike the lower levels, which were artificially enhanced, the top floor was an entirely separate dimension that had formed naturally long before the sect was established. The Cultivation Tower was later built to accommodate this dimension, which became known as the Spirit Dimension.

'No wonder everyone was shocked when the elder announced the reward,' Wang Ming mused. He had received permission to enter, something that usually required an astronomical amount of contribution points but he actually got it for free which could even drive Core Disciples mad in jealousy.

The Spirit Dimension not only contained the densest spiritual energy in the sect—even surpassing that of the Peaks—but also housed valuable treasures like pills, techniques and weapons. Additionally, multiple entrances to the Spirit Dimension existed across the Black Bamboo Kingdom, and many of the top sects had been built around these entrances.

Shaking his head, Wang Ming followed the crowd toward the final section of the Inner Court, where the competition would take place.
