Dropped into Naruto, Breaking the World Apart

Chapter 133: Chapter 20: Gradually Approaching the Truth

Layers of screens, like overlapping windows, stacked one on top of another, rising endlessly into the sky and forming a towering structure.

This was no ordinary place—it was a specialized surveillance room.

"Huh? Who's Tsunade talking to?" someone asked in surprise, pointing at one of the monitors.

"That's not the real Tsunade," another person replied calmly. "She's a transmigrator. Most likely went insane—pretty common case."

Transmigrators without any cheats rarely lived long; most either died early or lost their minds. Few could actually go the distance.

"Wait! Who's that next to Tsunade?" Itō Hidenaka suddenly shouted, his voice full of shock.

Everyone turned their attention toward the screen showing Tsunade. Beside her stood a man—smiling right at them.

He hadn't suddenly appeared, nor was he invisible. He had been there the whole time. They had just... unconsciously ignored his presence.

Itō Hidenaka frowned. "Who is he? Was there anyone that powerful in that era?"

The man's gaze seemed to pierce straight through the screen—like a tainted, alien stare that sent chills down their spines.

"Could this be a side effect of our interference...?" someone mumbled uncertainly.

No one responded. But their hands didn't stop moving—they kept recording data furiously. A rare sample like this? If they missed this village, they might never get another chance!

"Forget the other projects for now. Drop everything. Track down this man's origins—immediately!"

...

Tsunade was still in the middle of her deductions.

In just a few minutes, she had already proposed several different theories—her imagination running wild. Unfortunately, they were just verbal speculations. She lacked the evidence to back them up.

Itō Hidenaka had said this world existed in a historical past. But what about the manga Tsunade transmigrated into? Could it be that a future born from a manga universe had developed time-traveling technology?

Does the world of manga even have a "future"?

The demon kept speaking—not to sound cool or cryptic, but because even he didn't fully understand. He wasn't omniscient or all-knowing.

He'd revealed his presence deliberately. He could feel the countless eyes watching them. That Itō Hidenaka guy was probably one of the observers.

Not that it mattered. This body didn't even belong to him. If people wanted to watch, let them.

"Tsunade-senpai! Tsunade-sama, wait up!" A gentle female voice called from behind.

Tsunade turned around. "Shizune? What are you doing here?"

Shizune was panting slightly.

"Tsunade-sama... it's been so long since I last saw you…"

Before she could finish, Tsunade's monster-strength punch was already flying toward her face.

And Shizune… blocked it.

"Tsunade-sama, what are you doing?!" Shizune's voice sounded hurt and panicked—but her expression betrayed her. She looked more annoyed at being exposed than anything else.

"Heh~" Tsunade sneered. "So, you're a transmigrator too. Or are you a reincarnator? Didn't do your homework before coming to find me?"

Shizune froze, confused. In her mind, her identity as Shizune and that little piglet Tonton had always been bound to Tsunade.

Tsunade let out a cold laugh. She'd transmigrated into a manga world. She was constantly on guard—never had a relationship, never once dropped her defenses. She and Dan had zero ties here, so naturally she had no real connection with Shizune either. At most, the face was familiar.

For Shizune to call out to her so naturally… very suspicious.

Besides...

The demon had used teleportation to bring Tsunade here. Shizune, just a regular ninja, had somehow tracked their exact location?

Tsunade didn't hesitate to strike. Whether this Shizune was real or fake, whatever her motive—she was getting a beating first!

"I've been holding back a bellyful of frustration. Just happens that my fists are itchy today!"

Shizune's expression twisted. Why the hell was the side character this smart?

Tsunade's monster-strength punches roared through the air, but Shizune effortlessly fended them off.

"What's the point of this? Why rush to die? Wouldn't it be easier to just play nice and be my fake bestie?"

Tsunade replied with just two words: "Heh. No."

If "Shizune" had approached her with her real identity, maybe Tsunade would've considered talking. But a fake face and a sneaky approach? Obvious ill intent!

Only an idiot would knowingly let someone suspicious get close.

A wise woman avoids danger. When trouble shows up, best to walk away.

Tsunade wasn't that curious. She had zero interest in Shizune or her motives. What kind of lunatic would willingly become "friends" with someone clearly up to no good?

Hanging around someone this shady was just asking for trouble—getting dragged into messes, making enemies for no reason, getting hunted down, fighting back, and finally putting on a smug face...

Tsunade had enough on her plate. The last thing she needed was more chaos. She already regretted asking the demon for help—look at all the crap that followed!

Shizune's combat skills were weak, but somehow, she seemed immune to physical damage. No matter how hard Tsunade hit, she couldn't break through.

The demon casually curled a finger.

Shizune was still acting smug...

Boom!

With a single punch, Tsunade sent her flying. Blood spurted from her nose and mouth. Her calm demeanor shattered into panic.

"This can't be… How did you hurt me?!"

"Say your goodbyes! And stop acting like a damn big shot!" Tsunade growled, launching another brutal punch.

Shizune turned and bolted, screaming at the sky as she ran: "What the hell is this?! I paid so much money, and this is the experience I get?! I'm filing a complaint! I'll sue you into bankruptcy!!"

The world froze again. A beam of light descended from the sky—catching Tsunade's punch with ease.

"Oh, you again?" Tsunade pulled her fist back and put on a fake smile.

Itō Hidenaka returned the same smile—completely ignoring her—and stared straight at the demon.

Shizune, still coughing up blood, suddenly came to a realization. Her expression twisted into rage.

"I paid for a personal transmigration experience package! Why are there other tourists here?! That's breach of contract! Do you have any idea who my father is?! You f—%--0026*#*--0026…"

Like a furious street thug, Shizune kept cursing nonstop. She'd nearly died under Tsunade's fists, and her mental state had collapsed. All she could do now was vent her fear through yelling—and out of everyone present, the only one she dared shout at was Itō Hidenaka.

Veins popped on Itō Hidenaka's forehead, but he kept smiling.

"My dear customer, please calm down. I assure you, you are the only time-traveler in this era. As for them…"

He turned to look at Tsunade and the demon.

"They are native to this time period."

Shizune's rage only deepened.

"Do you even hear yourself right now...?"
