Dragon Ball: The Strongest Training

Chapter 50: The Final Sanctuary

"Should I bring Krillin to our final sanctuary?" Skaar hesitated. That place was the last refuge for their people. If it were exposed, he would go down in history as the eternal sinner of the Perseus system.

Although Skaar had grown to trust Krillin, he couldn't risk dragging his people into danger.

He gazed toward their hidden haven. "I wonder how Princess Sial is doing?"

"No, I must hurry back. My squad might be the last combat force we have left. The princess has no guards by her side—I must return quickly to protect her!"

After much inner turmoil, Skaar finally made his decision.

"Krillin, I think it's time I take you to our final sanctuary," Skaar said seriously.

"It would be an honor!" Krillin responded, pleased that he was one step closer to his goal of obtaining energy resources.

After a day of rest, Skaar's squad had recovered enough to move freely.

"Alright, team, get ready—we're going home!" Skaar called out.

The squad members, visibly moved, couldn't hold back their emotions. Many had tears of joy—they never thought they'd survive to see their home again.

The Phantom's hatch opened, and Krillin followed Skaar aboard, with the rest of the squad trailing behind.

"Skaar, I'll leave the flying to you," Krillin said with a grin.

Skaar nodded slightly and sat in the pilot's seat.

Normally, spaceships operated on autopilot, but Skaar began manually piloting the vessel.

Noticing this, Krillin raised an eyebrow, and Skaar explained, "The region around Zisan is unique. Its magnetic field interferes with autopilot systems. If we attempted automatic navigation, the ship might fall into a cosmic vortex."

Hearing the name Zisan, Krillin closed his eyes and searched his mental star chart. Despite his efforts, he couldn't locate it.

"Seems like the star map Porungan gave me wasn't complete. Those special areas aren't even marked," Krillin thought, annoyed.

Skaar continued, "That's likely why the evil forces haven't been able to find the entrance to our sanctuary."

Krillin nodded thoughtfully. "A cosmic vortex… That must be some sort of black hole. If that's the case, it's impossible for Saviza to gather his forces and launch a large-scale attack in this region."

With that, Skaar turned his full attention to flying the ship.

Meanwhile, Krillin turned to the squad and said, "Let's play something to pass the time!"

The squad members glanced at each other and then grinned mischievously.

One day later…

"Beep-beep! Warning! High concentrations of dark matter detected nearby. Please vacate the area immediately!"

The spaceship's alarm roused everyone from their sleep.

Skaar's squad recognized the familiar space ahead and began to cheer. "We're home!"

Krillin rubbed his eyes and walked to Skaar. "Are we there?"

Skaar gave a small nod. "Yes."

As the ship entered the hidden zone, Krillin's mental star map updated to include Zisan's approximate location.

"This is definitely peculiar," Krillin thought as he examined the map. "No wonder it's so hard to find—it's like a second layer beneath the Perseus system's main star chart, perfectly hidden."

Zisan was a small planet, about one-tenth the size of Earth. Like Earth, it was a vivid blue, but its blue hue didn't come from water. Instead, it was a dense, mysterious material.

At the planet's defensive outpost, guards noticed the incoming ship and raised the alarm.

"An unidentified ship is approaching! Notify the captain!"

"Request their electromagnetic signal!" the captain instructed, his voice tinged with worry.

When Skaar received the request, he immediately responded, "This is Skaar's squad, requesting entry."

"It's Captain Skaar!" one of the guards exclaimed. "He's alive!"

"I knew it. That guy Skaar wouldn't go down so easily," the captain said with relief.

The Phantom began its descent.

Zisan had a thin atmosphere, so the landing was smooth and uneventful.

As the hatch opened with a hiss, the squad stepped out onto the planet's surface.

Krillin took in the sight of the planet's unique flora. "Isn't this the same plant I ate back on that green planet?"

He took a deep breath, filling his lungs with the fresh, sweet air.

Skaar's squad, overwhelmed with emotion, gazed at the familiar surroundings with tears in their eyes.

"Skaar, is it really you?" A voice called out, and a figure quickly flew over.

Hearing the familiar voice, Skaar's expression brightened. "Rael!"

The two men greeted each other warmly, carefully observing each other's condition.

"How is Princess Sial?" Skaar asked, concern evident in his voice.

"She's fine, but…" Rael hesitated.

"But what?" Skaar pressed anxiously. The princess was the spiritual leader of the Perseus people—any harm to her would spell disaster.

"She was gravely injured during the last battle with Saviza," Rael explained quickly. "But she's resting and recovering now."

Skaar breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness nothing worse happened. If we'd lost her, the Perseus system would truly be finished."

Rael looked at Skaar's squad, curious. "How did you escape? Saviza's forces are terrifying."

"We owe it to Krillin," Skaar replied, gesturing toward him. "If not for his timely intervention, we would've been wiped out."

Rael followed Skaar's gaze and turned to Krillin. "Thank you for saving Skaar and his team. Skaar is my most trusted partner—saving him is as good as saving me."

Krillin waved his hand dismissively, smiling. "It was nothing. Don't mention it!"

"Rael, let's catch up later," Skaar interjected. "My squad needs to rest and recover."

"Oh, of course! Let me know if you need anything," Rael said quickly, stepping aside.

As they walked toward the settlement, Krillin examined the strange architecture. "At least it's better than the dung beetle buildings on Namek," he quipped.

The buildings resembled Roman temples, constructed from tall, translucent red stones etched with mysterious patterns.

Krillin approached one of the structures, fascinated by the engravings. He reached out to touch the intricate designs.

As his fingers brushed the stone, he felt an unusual sensation, almost like the texture of time itself. Images flashed through his mind—past events and glimpses of the future.

"You're Krillin, aren't you? You saved Skaar's squad?"

A soft, weak voice interrupted his thoughts.
