Chapter 278: Future
Muria had once entrusted one of his unique weapons, the Spear of Chasing Sun, to the white tiger Troy, asking it to track the soul-level monsters he had marked while traveling through the wilderness and then subjugate them.
So, now Muria quickly located Troy's current position through the inseparable connection between him and the Spear of Chasing Sun. Then, using spatial coordinates, he opened a teleportation portal...
"Yo, big cat, you seem to be having a good time." Just as he stepped through the spatial gate, Muria saw a giant white cat with wings lazily lying on a cliff over a hundred meters high, with a spear wrapped in thunder and lightning planted beside it.
"Muria! What are you doing here?" Troy, sensing the sudden appearance of the black-haired, golden-eyed youth, slightly opened its eyes, revealing a sliver of green tiger iris, "Don't you trust me?"
"I just came to see... and also..."
"See what?" The white tiger Troy fully opened its tiger eyes, looking at Muria, "I have already subdued all the monsters you marked, and I've even expanded the wolf pack you left behind by tens of times."
"Is that so?" Muria raised an eyebrow, showing a hint of doubt, "Where are the monsters you've subdued?"
"Roar!!!" Upon hearing Muria's questioning, Troy did not move its body but lazily lifted its head and let out a tiger roar that shook the wilderness.
Following that, the ground began to shake. Centered around the cliff where the big cat was, ferocious wolves emerged from all directions, the number so large that they formed a vast dark tide. This dark tide, though mainly black, was interspersed with dots of gold.
These were the ferocious wolves that had once followed Muria, their life essence transformed by his aura, entering another level, their bodies mutated, and their fur turned completely golden. Underneath their fur were dense scales.
These once weak ferocious wolves, after following Muria for a time, had become dragonized giant wolves, each commanding hundreds of ferocious wolves.
At the forefront of this dark tide was a golden wolf over twenty meters long, the Wolf King, which had merged with a drop of Muria's blood and possessed the strength to suppress any dragonized giant wolf.
Furthermore, over the months, it had undergone new changes, with a pair of short horns emerging from its forehead, and two very noticeable bulges on its back. The influence of Muria's blood on it had not yet ended.
Responding to Troy's summons were not only these ferocious and dragonized wolves... The ground cracked open, and a heavily scaled earth dragon familiar to Muria crawled out; in the sky, a loud cry rang out as an iron-feathered giant eagle flew over; a chimera with the heads of a goat, lion, and snake walked over, parting the tide of giant wolves like water...
One after another, soul-level monsters that Muria had marked with the Spear of Chasing Sun appeared, then lay prostrate at the foot of the cliff where Troy was lying.
"All the land as far as your eyes can see has become my territory, and all living beings have submitted to me," Troy declared proudly. It paused before adding, somewhat sheepishly, "Although I've tried hard to find them, I still haven't found your six dragons."
"Trying hard?" Muria looked at Troy's lazily lying figure on the cliff, the corners of his mouth twitching. It seemed like there was a misunderstanding about the effort.
"Those six dragons don't need to be found anymore; I've already found them." Muria shook his head, without a trace of guilt in his heart. The big cat had been living even more leisurely and comfortably than him, unlike him, who had been running around everywhere.
"You found them so quickly?" Troy, looking at the monsters crouching at its feet, was momentarily stunned, then a hint of anger appeared on its furry tiger face, "So I've been busy for nothing?"
"Busy? Besides subduing those monsters I marked, what else have you done?" Muria looked at Troy expressionlessly, "Lying here sleeping?"
"..." The white big cat, upon hearing Muria's interrogation, somewhat sheepishly turned its head away. Indeed, besides fulfilling Muria's request, it hadn't done anything else and spent most of its time lying down sleeping. For these dragons, it never cared or paid much attention.
"Let's get ready to leave now," Muria said lightly.
"Leave this continent?"
"Yes, the six dragons that my mother banished here have all been found. There's no need for me to stay any longer. It's time to move on to the next continent in search of them."
"How do you plan to get to the next continent?" Troy asked curiously, "Cassio won't be able to help you this time."
"I can use the human church's teleportation array."
"You can even use that?" The big cat looked at Muria somewhat surprisedly, then curiously, "What have you been doing in the human kingdoms?"
"A lot of things." Muria extended his hand, and the Spear of Chasing Sun beside the white big cat, breathing out cold light and wrapped in thunder, flew out and landed in Muria's palm.
"What about them?" Hearing about leaving for another continent, Troy had no objections, but its green tiger eyes looked down at the many monsters lying prostrate below, with a hint of reluctance.
After all, they had been together for a few months, and there were some feelings. Hearing Troy's question, Muria was silent for a moment, then looked down at the giant wolf with horns looking up at him, the dragonized Wolf King that had received his blood.
"They'll stay here," Muria decided after a moment, "This is where they belong."
"Can't we take them with us?"
"No." Muria shook his head, explaining that crossing continents required the use of elemental crystals for teleportation, which he would have to pay for—a significant expense.
Well, it was because the cost was so high that he had to bear the expense. If it were just within the same continent, the church might waive the fee, but for intercontinental teleportation, that was not possible.
Muria didn't mind; it was already very good of them to lend him the strategic teleportation array for use. What more could he ask for, especially since he was taking more than thirty dragons with him? It would be too unreasonable to ask others to cover the cost.
"Don't worry, as long as they don't provoke too strong creatures, they can live easily on this land."
"Then let me give them some instructions before I go," Troy glanced at Muria and leaped off the cliff, walking towards those monsters it had forcibly subdued.
... The dragonized Wolf King looked up at the sky where the black-haired, golden-eyed youth was, feeling a mix of sadness, loss, and melancholy. It was the being that had given it a new life.
When he appeared, the dragonized Wolf King felt such joy and excitement, thinking it could once again be of use, carrying the great man through the endless wilderness, leading its subordinate giant wolves, slaughtering any monsters that dared to obstruct them.
But to the Wolf King's disappointment, after the great man appeared, he only glanced at it and then did not look this way again.
Moreover, it heard the entire conversation between the great man and Troy. It didn't understand what the continent meant, but it understood one thing: the great man was taking Troy and leaving for a faraway place, so far that they had to abandon them.
What disappointed it even more was that although they were about to leave, and Troy had come down to say some comforting words of farewell, the great man had no intention of coming down.
But when Muria and Troy disappeared, a familiar voice rang in its ear, instantly sweeping away its previous despondent state and filling it with fighting spirit.
"The Wolf King who has received my grace, continue to practice hard. When I need you in the future, I hope you can surprise me."
