Chapter 279: The Dragon’s Command

"Lord Muria!" Just as Muria and Troy had returned to Kaslana's castle, the voice of the golden dragon's three-bodied tower spirit reached his ears, and then, her petite and somewhat similar figure to Kaslana appeared in front of Muria.

"What's the matter?" Muria looked towards the tower spirit.

"The rewards issued by the Platinum Dragon God and the three Dragon Kings have been distributed, and the part that belongs to you has been sent here."

"Oh." Muria nodded indifferently, not particularly interested in these so-called rewards.

"Rewards from the Dragon God and Dragon Kings!" The big cat that came with Muria to Bologna, having shrunk its body, wore a face of astonishment. It understood what the Dragon Kings represented, "How did you get it, and why do you seem so uninterested?"

"Probably just some elemental crystals or something." Muria spoke with lack of interest, "Even if it's not elemental crystals, it's probably just some odds and ends those Lords can't use."

"Those odds and ends that Lords look down upon are invaluable treasures for you." The three-bodied tower spirit said seriously.

"Heh!" Muria laughed, noncommittal.

"Moreover, Lord Muria, the reward you received is not some elemental crystals. It's a treasure that is very useful for you at this stage." The three-bodied tower spirit said.

"What treasure?" Before Muria could ask, Troy asked for him, seeming even more eager than Muria.

"The Dragon's Command!" As the tower spirit answered, a staff about three meters long with a white base and gold patterns, topped with a majestic dragon sculpture, appeared. Following that, a vast sense of majesty spread from Muria's room, covering Kaslana's castle, causing the maids, servants, and some young dragons to prostrate themselves on the ground.

"This is the aura of an epic." At the moment the staff appeared, the big cat couldn't help but step back a few steps, staring in shock at the staff, or more accurately, at the lifelike white-gold dragon sculpture on it.

"This is divine might, not the aura of an epic." Silently, the golden dragon, Kaslana, appeared. Hearing Troy's words, she couldn't help but correct him.

"Divine might? No wonder it felt a bit different." Seeing the golden-haired, long-legged lady correcting its mistake, Troy somewhat embarrassedly licked its whiskers.

Having grown up among the Titans, it had the fortune of seeing an epic Titan when it was very young. As for gods, in that territory, it would never be possible to see one.

"Then the dragon on this staff is...?" Muria focused on the majestic white-gold dragon on the staff. The divine might emanated from it, making it the core of the staff.

And this dragon's appearance didn't match any of the metal dragons from the inherited memories, naturally leading Muria to guess, "The Platinum Dragon God Bahamut?"

"Correct!" Kaslana nodded, but upon hearing Muria's words, her brows furrowed slightly, "Muria, try not to call out the names of gods directly in the future. It's easy to attract their attention."

"Is there a problem with calling out Bahamut's name? I haven't shown any disrespect." Muria said indifferently. Calling gods by their names didn't seem like a big deal to him, considering his grandfather and great-grandfather were of similar existence. Why should he be afraid?

"It's generally not good to call out the names of gods directly. The Platinum Dragon God might not mind, but if other gods notice because you accidentally call their names, it could be troublesome."

"Alright, I'll be careful next time." Seeing Kaslana's serious expression, Muria conceded and nodded earnestly, promising to be more careful. Normal intelligent beings, even dragons, maintain a basic respect for gods, unlike him.

"So, what's the use of this staff?" Muria asked, curiously holding the three-meter-long staff, looking forward to its divine might and hoping the treasure wouldn't disappoint.

"According to the description, the bearer of this staff can command all beings within their mental sensing range that possess the bloodline of metal dragons."

"Can it only command beings with dragon bloodlines and not true dragons?" Muria caught the key point from the tower spirit's grand introduction.

"Correct." The tower spirit shook its head. Commanding, as nice as it sounds, is just a form of enslavement. The Platinum Dragon God wouldn't grant a treasure capable of enslaving His descendants.

"That's somewhat underwhelming." Muria couldn't help but pout. Even without this staff, he could easily command those with metal dragon bloodlines with his own identity and bloodline pressure.

And for those with strong wills resistant to his bloodline pressure, he could still make them obey through physical means.

In summary, this staff was an impressive yet ultimately limited treasure due to its divine might. Because of its divine nature, beings without high enough strength or bloodline level wouldn't even qualify to wield it.

"Does it have any other functions?" Troy asked, feeling this item was genuinely underwhelming for something given by Dragon Kings and Gods.

"Yes. The holder of this staff can detect the presence of metal dragons around them."

"How large is this detection range?" Muria's eyes lit up at this feature, finding it very interesting.

"The range depends on the strength of the metal dragons. The stronger the dragon, the greater the distance you can sense it from."

Muria nodded, understanding how this sensing function worked. The staff's sensing capability depended on the strength of the dragon being sensed.

For instance, if there's a young metal dragon and an ancient metal dragon at a distance of ten kilometers, the staff's holder could sense both. But if the distance is extended to a thousand kilometers, the holder might not detect the young metal dragon but could still feel the ancient metal dragon's presence.

"Moreover, holding this Dragon's Command, you can communicate with every dragon you sense." The three-bodied, cute tower spirit looked seriously at Muria, giving an example that wasn't quite appropriate: "If you're being chased by a legend, you can hold this staff and communicate with the nearest ancient dragon you sense, sending out a distress signal to get help and save your life."

"That's the reason you said this item is very useful to me?" Muria looked at the tower spirit with a straight face, filled with disbelief at the hypothetical scenario it provided.
