Mirko let out an angry shout as the shadow of Dr. Blessed disappeared into blackness right in front of her.

With her were Gran Torino and Midoriya, who had arrived just half an hour ago to join Mirko and Luke.

There was another team of Pro Heroes with them, but they were too slow to catch up with the three of them.

"Calm down, young Mirko!" Gran Torino shouted. "We must find Luke, first…"

The moment she heard Luke's name, Mirko's eyes went hard. She looked over his shoulder and eyed Midoriya. It felt like it was only now she was truly recognizing his presence around her.

"You have changed…" she commented, narrowing her eyes at Midoriya.

Midoriya had changed. Now, his hair was standing on end, with tiny electric bolts of electricity snaking around his body.

With Gran Torino's help, Midoriya had found a way to control One For All somehow.

Instead of condensing One For All's power in only one part of his body, he had learned to keep only a percentage of it activated in his entire body.

With this, he could prevent himself from losing hands every time he used his Quirk, giving him much more flexibility instead.

Of course, the power he could bring out with this percentage wasn't as great as full One For All's usage.

"… Did… Did he kidnap Luke?" Midoriya asked, his eyes gaining an extremely hard look.

Mirko shook her head. There was no way to confirm if Dr. Blessed had kidnapped Luke or not, but from what she had seen and analyzed about this man, he wouldn't…

BOOM!

BAM!!!

A series of loud explosions rocked the ground beneath them, fiery, mushroom clouds brightening the dark sky overhead.

Just what was happening?!

"Do they really think I will let them live after mocking or stabbing me?" Shigaraki mumbled, grinning ear to ear. "If I want to kill, I will just kill. That's all."

Shigaraki and Kurogiri were standing on a roof in Hosu City, eying the explosions taking place around them.

Just now, they had released a Nomu of each Lower, Middle, and Upper Tier, creating chaos.

Of course, their true purpose was to obliterate Luke the moment they laid their eyes upon him.

Laughing, stretching out his hands, Shigaraki laughed, "I will…"

Boom…

Both Shigaraki and Kurogiri frowned. What was that?!

The two Villains looked around, their feet shuffling.

Tearing through the roof, blasting concrete in all directions, a massive, monstrous creature came flying out.

As it hovered in the air momentarily in front of Shigaraki and Kurogiri, they suddenly realized that they alone weren't hunting someone in the city.

Someone was hunting them, too.

The beast looked like a rabbit with a human-like appearance.

Its legs were incredibly thin, but still looked like those of a rabbit. Its torso, though, looked nothing like a man or beast, but like an abomination. It was too muscular, as if it belonged to an eight-foot-tall giant.

Its right arm was bigger than its entire body, but its left arm still looked like a rabbit's — tiny, unimpressive.

The same was true for its head, too.

The abomination's entire head was tiny, still looking like a rabbit's, but its brain was exposed, and its eyes were like two glaring, red footballs resting on its skull.

All in all, the thing looked more like a Nomu than the actual Nomu itself.

The moment this abomination lifted its right arm and slammed at the water tank where Shigaraki and Kurogiri were standing, they knew who had found them.

"Dr. Blessed!" Shigaraki screamed out the name like a curse.

Then, the fist landed on the water tank before Kurogiri could create a Warp Gate, blasting the steel under their feet to smithereens.

Boooooooooooom!

Shigaraki was thrown so far that he landed on the roof of a different building, coughing out blood.

Meanwhile, a steel shard had punctured Kurogiri's thigh, and the blast had thrown him off the building.

Biting through the pain, he used his Quirk midair, preventing himself from meeting a worse fate.

"Shigaraki!" Kurogiri shouted, appearing behind Shigaraki, who was standing up, shaking. "No! Don't engage!!"

With a thud, the abomination landed on the building, rocks flying off under its feet.

Then, slowly, it began walking toward them, dragging its massive right arm on the roof, saliva dripping off its tiny mouth.

Kurogiri reached out to grab Shigaraki and run.

They weren't prepared to take on Dr. Blessed, yet.

Their Master had warned them to contact him first whenever Dr. Blessed appeared, instead of…

"I WILL KILL YOU!" Shigaraki screamed and dashed toward the abomination.

Suddenly, before Shigaraki's finger could even touch the abomination, it exploded with a bloody squelch.

Blood, flesh, and pus rained down on Shigaraki and Kurogiri, rooting them to their spots.

Click-Click-Click!

Drenched in bloody filth, Kurogiri and Shigaraki looked to their left.

On the roof of the same building, on another water tank, Dr. Blessed was taking photos, his white lab coat flapping in the high wind.

Then, he put his right hand on his chest and bowed at the two before melting into a darkness behind him.

Kurogiri stepped toward a befuddled and murderous Shigaraki.

"He tricked us…" he said, eying the spot where Dr. Blessed had disappeared.

Shigaraki looked at Kurogiri through the blood, a rage he had never known coursing in his veins.

Kurogiri pointed at the spot where the abomination had exploded.

"He must have… taken many photos of it as it fought us…" he explained to Shigaraki, pain stabbing through his thigh. "If I am not guessing it wrong, then he purportedly mutated the animal to resemble a Nomu.

"Combined with the previous cases, and today's attack, what do you think would happen?"

Shigaraki scratched his neck, his fingers slipping on the blood. "They would think that the Meta Puppets were our experiments… and… they were prone to lose control…"

"Yes…" Kurogiri nodded, confirming they had been outsmarted. "Dr. Blessed just used us to—cover his tracks…"
