Chapter 278: Chapter 278: Qian Renxue’s Training

Chapter 278: Qian Renxue's Training

As the days passed, Yang Potian and Qian Renxue traveled for more than two weeks, and they were now only a few hundred kilometers from Wuhun City.

One day, while they were dining at an inn, Qian Renxue voiced her frustration. "What exactly am I gaining from this training? All I've done is run into trouble, with nothing to show for it."

Yang Potian shook his head. "Miss Qian Renxue, I have to say, you're really disappointing me. After all the experiences you've had on this journey, have you gained nothing at all?"

Qian Renxue thought back on everything they'd encountered. "We've certainly faced many things, but none of it feels relevant to me. I'm a Title Douluo, the heir to the Angel God. Why should these minor troubles affect me?"

Yang Potian's expression turned serious. "You're wrong. Even the Angel God was once an ordinary person who experienced the same struggles. Like any other person, the Angel God had to face the seven emotions and six desires, as well as aging, sickness, and death. She also faced countless schemes and challenges. But a true Angel God overcame all of this. She gained divine status not just through power but because she showed compassion for humanity, defending them and ultimately winning their respect. If you can't do the same, you'll never be more than a false god."

Qian Renxue frowned, her frustration evident. "So, what should I do now? I can't just return to Wuhun City in this state."

Yang Potian glanced around the bustling inn. "Right now, sit back and listen. Try to understand what everyone here is saying and thinking. Immerse yourself in their situations, consider why they act the way they do, and try to put yourself in their shoes. When you can sense what everyone around you is feeling, then you'll have taken your first step."

Qian Renxue closed her eyes, focusing on the noises and voices around her.

As time passed, her expression changed several times—anger, sympathy, and even detachment flickered across her face.

When she finally opened her eyes, the inn had emptied, and the noise had faded into silence. Only Yang Potian remained, observing her.

"It's been a whole day. Did you gain any insights?" he asked. "Remember, the Angel God's divinity lies not just in holiness but in her love for humanity. She fought for them and was accepted by them. If you can't understand that, you'll only be a false god."

Over the next few days, Qian Renxue seemed to put his teachings into practice, trying to observe and connect with those they encountered. Whether they were wandering spirit masters or humble beggars, each interaction seemed to impact her.

At one point, she even swapped her noble robes for simple clothing, disguising herself as a commoner and trying to think like an ordinary person.

After more than ten days, they finally reached the gates of Wuhun City. Looking up at the towering walls and noticing Qian Renxue's changed aura, Yang Potian couldn't help but sigh in relief.

The journey had clearly matured her. She was no longer as proud or lofty as she had been; there was now a subtle humbleness in her bearing.

Entering Wuhun City as commoners, Qian Renxue felt a shift within herself. The entire city seemed more sacred and harmonious than anywhere else, and the tranquility she observed among the citizens deeply impacted her. She began to embody an inner radiance and purity that were a reflection of her growth, not her spirit or lineage.

When they arrived at the Douluo Hall and saw Qian Daoliu, Qian Renxue's composure dissolved as she ran to him, hugging him tightly with tears streaming down her face.

Qian Daoliu looked at her with concern and confusion. "Xiaoxue, what happened? Why are you like this? If that boy Yang Potian has wronged you, I'll make sure he pays."

Qian Renxue shook her head. "No, Grandpa, it wasn't him. It was me. I realize now how reckless I've been, how little I understood the struggles you went through or the sacrifices you made for me."

Qian Daoliu was taken aback, but after a moment, he smiled softly. "My little Xiaoxue… you've finally grown up."

After Qian Renxue left to rest within the Wuhun Hall, Qian Daoliu and Yang Potian sat down to talk.

Qian Daoliu's expression softened. "Thank you for helping Xiaoxue. I owe you a debt for this."

Yang Potian shook his head. "We're allies, after all. I only did what I felt was right. This benefits us both."

Qian Daoliu looked puzzled. "What do you mean by that?"

Yang Potian continued. "You've achieved level ninety-nine by experiencing everything: love, hate, success, and failure. But Qian Renxue is still young and untested. She hasn't faced these things, so it was easy for the Rakshasa God's dark energy to find a way in."

"I suggest you have her undergo more mental training. Reaching godhood isn't just about power. Without inner resilience, she may have regrets even if she succeeds, and could even fall in the future."

Qian Daoliu's gaze hardened. "Thank you for your advice. Perhaps I have neglected Xiaoxue's inner growth, focusing only on her strength."

Yang Potian shrugged. "No need for long speeches. We've dealt with a minor threat from the Rakshasa, nothing more. Besides, we have important matters to discuss."

Qian Daoliu nodded. "I'll make sure Xiaoxue receives proper guidance. As for our cooperation, I agree it's time to move forward."

"Your part in this has been fulfilled, and now it's time to enact the plan of the Wuhun Empire. However, I have an additional request. I hope you'll consider it."

Yang Potian chuckled. "I believe our agreement is complete. I've delivered the immortal herbs I promised to Chrysanthemum Douluo, which you're welcome to inspect. But let's hear it—what else do you need?"

After a moment of contemplation, Qian Daoliu replied, "Ghost Douluo has already scouted the Star Dou Forest, and we've located two ten-thousand-year soul beasts. We're just waiting to confirm their positions and finalize our strategy."

"Bibi Dong has assembled every Title Douluo available, along with countless other powerful figures. She's ready to wipe out the upper ranks of both empires, as well as the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan and the Clear Sky Clan."

"As planned, Bibi Dong herself will be involved, while I'll stay to guard Wuhun City. But I hope you'll assist us from the sidelines. If you have any conditions, name them."

Yang Potian gazed steadily at Qian Daoliu. "Are you forgetting our agreement? Our alliance was meant to remain secret. I won't fight either of the empires or the clans, nor will I reveal myself."

Qian Daoliu shook his head. "We're not asking you to reveal yourself—only to observe and assist. We can handle our enemies, but should any soul beasts interfere, particularly Di Tian, we'll need your help to keep them at bay."

Yang Potian thought for a moment. "Fine. In exchange, I want access to the Clear Sky Clan's treasury and the Star Luo Empire's royal treasury."

"Deal!"
