Chapter 474: Chapter 473: Winning Over Meng Hongchen

Qian Ran unhesitatingly pulled Meng Hongchen's delicate feet into his embrace, gently removing her crystal sandals to admire them with great care.

Her pale, soft feet were cool to the touch, as smooth and exquisite as the finest jade.

"Such perfection," he thought to himself.

In his opinion, they even surpassed the feet of those girls back at Shrek Academy in their beauty—so tender and soft, they were truly a masterpiece.

"Qian Ran, why are you touching my feet?" Meng Hongchen asked, trying her best not to let a sound escape her lips. However, her face had already turned red enough to seem as though it might drip blood.

"Your feet are beautiful," Qian Ran replied honestly. To be fair, it wasn't just her feet that were captivating. Meng Hongchen had come to see him dressed lightly in a sheer skirt that barely reached her thighs. As she sat on the ground with Qian Ran holding her legs, the position revealed far more than what should have been visible.

However, Qian Ran remained composed.

He simply found the hazy allure of Meng Hongchen enchanting.

After all, having experienced so much, such a view no longer stirred his blood uncontrollably.

"Huh?" Meng Hongchen was even more embarrassed by Qian Ran's bluntness. Couldn't he at least try to conceal it? Did Qian Ran have some kind of fetish? She had heard of many people who were particularly fond of girls' feet.

Oh no...

Meng Hongchen felt a mix of shyness and joy.

Her only fear had been that Qian Ran wouldn't like her. Knowing that he did, even if it was just her feet he fancied, made her heart swell with happiness.

With half-closed eyes and slightly parted lips, Meng Hongchen leaned languidly on Qian Ran's shoulder, breathing deeply and rapidly.

"Sigh…"

"This kid is really stealing her away," Jing Hongchen thought as he observed the scene clearly from afar. His precious granddaughter being so taken by an outsider left a bitter taste in his heart.

What frustrated him even more was that it was entirely her initiative. She had willingly gone to his dorm, and within less than an hour, here she was, letting him touch her feet!

How could she be so lacking in self-restraint? Even if she liked him, shouldn't she at least maintain some dignity? This was no better than throwing herself at him like a piece of meat on a platter!

Jing Hongchen felt a complex mix of emotions. He had always placed great importance on his precious grandchildren, but seeing Meng Hongchen so easily won over by Qian Ran left him feeling sour.

Just the other day, he had introduced Huo Yuhao to her, trying to encourage them to get to know each other. Yet, she had paid him no attention at all.

And now? As soon as he loosened his restrictions on her, she ran straight to Qian Ran.

Jing Hongchen didn't know what to say anymore.

In truth, he wasn't sure whether to let her pursue this relationship with Qian Ran. Today's loosening of control had been a test to allow her to make her own choices. And this was the result…

"Sigh, I just hope this ends well. If she can bear Qian Ran's child, that would be ideal," Jing Hongchen thought. Since his granddaughter had chosen this path, he decided not to interfere. The sooner the better. He resolved to have a private talk with her soon. Timing it perfectly could increase the chances, especially with the assistance of Mingde Hall's advanced medicinal aids, practically guaranteeing success.

"As for that boy Huo Yuhao, his talent is merely decent. Once Qian Ran is gone, Huo Yuhao can still marry into the Hongchen family," Jing Hongchen mused. He had already made up his mind: after eliminating Qian Ran in the future, Huo Yuhao could take over.

The Clear Sky Sect backing Huo Yuhao was merely "good," and if they didn't comply, they'd be crushed under the inevitable unification of the continent by the Sun Moon Empire.

Having decided, Jing Hongchen left, unwilling to linger and risk seeing something that might shatter his composure.

His granddaughter, usually so clever, turned into a completely different person around Qian Ran. She had already allowed him such liberties—what would come next?

Jing Hongchen's departure didn't escape Qian Ran's notice.

Qian Ran had assumed the old man might lose his temper and intervene, but instead, Jing Hongchen left without a word. Did this mean he approved?

How interesting.

The people of the Sun Moon Empire were surprisingly generous, it seemed.

Had they decided to treat him like a tool for improving their bloodline?

Qian Ran didn't mind. In fact, he relished it.

Gripping Meng Hongchen's slender legs, he pushed them upward.

"Mengmeng, hold them yourself," Qian Ran instructed, gesturing for her to cradle her knees.

Blushing furiously, Meng Hongchen complied with his demand, lowering her head in shyness.

"You're such a good girl, Mengmeng." Qian Ran patted her head affectionately, then pulled a camera from his soul tool storage device and captured a series of shots from multiple angles.

Meng Hongchen, sprawled on the grassy field in her short red dress, exuded a breathtaking artistic beauty in the photographs.

Qian Ran reviewed his shots with a satisfied grin.

His camera was filled with stunning images. Thankfully, Qian Ran didn't live in a digitized world like Earth; otherwise, he wouldn't have dared to take such liberties. Otherwise, he might have ended up like Brother Edison, his reputation ruined along with his companions'.

"What's that in your hand?" Meng Hongchen asked, her face red with curiosity.

"This? It's a special soul tool I invented," Qian Ran replied with a cheeky smile, showing her the photos he had just taken. Meng Hongchen's face turned crimson as her body heated up with embarrassment.

Seeing herself in such... suggestive positions…

Meng Hongchen was utterly at a loss, her face burning even hotter.

"Don't worry, only I will see these," Qian Ran reassured her, gently setting her legs down and pulling her into his arms. This was one of his little quirks, something only he knew about in this world. He had no fear of anyone discovering it.

In his past life, he would never have dared to take such risks.

"You big bully! I'm going to bite you!" Meng Hongchen exclaimed, burying her embarrassment by sinking her teeth into Qian Ran's shoulder. It was the only way she could think of to cope with her shame and awkwardness.

"Hiss…" Qian Ran hissed softly at the pain.

"Did that hurt? I'm sorry, I…" Meng Hongchen began, her tone apologetic upon catching the scent of blood. She hadn't meant to bite so hard.

Noticing that she had torn through his clothing, she instantly became like a guilty child caught doing something wrong.

"It's nothing, just a minor injury," Qian Ran said calmly. A faint golden light flickered, and the wound healed instantly.

For Qian Ran, Meng Hongchen's bite was nothing. If he hadn't deliberately suppressed his defenses, her teeth wouldn't have even left a mark. His body, fortified by soul power, was as tough as steel, but he had relaxed his defenses to avoid damaging her teeth.

After all, it would be a shame if her teeth were chipped—it would ruin her beauty.

Besides, Qian Ran found this kind of intimacy delightful. For the sake of such bliss, a little sacrifice was well worth it.
