Chapter 437: Chapter 436: Keke Arrives—Why Refuse a Free Offer?

Ding! Congratulations, Host, for signing in Juzi.

Ding! Congratulations, Host, for obtaining several Plant Bloodline Mutation Potions. These can be used to enhance plant-type soul beasts and plant-type soul masters, causing bloodline mutation or ancestral regression into stronger plant forms.

Ding! Congratulations, Host, for signing in Keke.

Ding! Congratulations, Host, for obtaining the Human Brain Computation Construction Blueprint.

Upon entering the small dimension within the Xumi Ring, Qian Ran opened his system panel to review the sign-in rewards.

Seeing the bloodline enhancement potion for plant-type soul beasts, he was thrilled. This would be incredibly useful for cultivating the immortal herbs of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Those herbs were already extraordinary—enhancing them further could only mean unimaginable benefits.

What surprised Qian Ran even more was the blueprint for constructing a computational system using a human brain, obtained from signing in Keke. He had fantasized before about building a computer with his vast spiritual power.

If successful, many simple problems and calculations could be resolved in an instant, directly within his mind. Designing soul tools, for instance, could become as easy as assembling and simulating models mentally using his vast knowledge.

While creating simple soul tools below Rank 7 was something Qian Ran could manage with ease using his immense spiritual power, designing Rank 8 or 9 soul tools was a far more complex task. It required intricate overlapping of soul arrays, something far beyond what could be casually imagined. Moreover, he didn't have the time for endless experimentation.

Now, this problem was effectively solved.

Though tempted, Qian Ran decided not to immediately use the mutation potions on the immortal herbs of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Such a valuable resource would be better used on Juzi if she became his woman. Her martial soul was her biggest limitation, and helping her become stronger was something he'd naturally take responsibility for in the future.

By the time Qian Ran emerged from the Xumi Ring, it was late evening, and the laboratory was empty.

However, the once-chaotic lab had been cleaned spotless.

As Qian Ran made his way back to his dorm, he was stunned upon arriving at his door.

What's going on here?

Outside his room stood several graceful young women. One of them, to his amusement, was none other than Keke.

"Keke? What are you doing here?" Qian Ran asked, raising an eyebrow.

Could this girl be planning some new trick after their earlier incident? He was well-acquainted with her personality—while Juzi was gentle, Keke was bold and brash.

"I've been selected to care for you. We've all been chosen by the academy for this task," Keke said, batting her beautiful eyes at him.

It was after class hours, and unlike earlier, Keke was not in her uniform. Instead, she wore casual attire: a plain white T-shirt that highlighted her modest yet perfectly proportioned figure, and black shorts that barely covered her round, pert hips. Her exposed legs were pale and smooth, complementing her petite yet curvaceous frame.

The outfit suited Keke's lively and energetic personality perfectly.

Qian Ran's eyes lingered on her shorts-clad curves for a moment longer than necessary. He had to admit, Keke's petite build and shapely figure had an undeniable charm.

"You?" Qian Ran's gaze swept over Keke. Was she really the caring type? Her earlier attempt to trouble him was still fresh in his memory.

"Not just me—us," Keke said, planting her hands on her hips with a hint of indignation.

Beside her stood several other attractive young women, each radiating their own unique charm. Upon seeing Qian Ran, their gazes changed. What had initially seemed like a daunting task given by the academy—taking care of a Shrek Academy exchange student—suddenly didn't feel so bad.

In fact, after meeting Qian Ran, they were immediately intrigued. They hadn't seen anyone so handsome and charismatic in the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineering Academy.

One of them, a tan-skinned soul engineer, even blushed furiously, her face turning as red as a ripe apple.

"Fine. But honestly, I don't really need your help. I can take care of myself," Qian Ran said, leaning casually against the doorframe. Though the prospect of free beauty was tempting, he wasn't desperate.

"No way! Our academic credits and the academy's extra rewards are at stake," Keke said hurriedly.

"If you really don't need us, can we at least stay here? Please don't kick us out," one of the girls said timidly. After meeting Qian Ran, none of them wanted to leave. Whether it was for the academic rewards, the rare chance to interact with a Shrek Academy genius, or simply for personal curiosity, staying seemed like a win-win.

Moreover, they had done their homework. Qian Ran was not just any exchange student—he was a dual martial soul holder and had performed exceptionally in the previous Advanced Soul Master Competition. Engaging with someone like him could greatly benefit their own cultivation.

"Hmph! We're all top students, and you should feel lucky to have us taking care of you. How dare you complain?" Keke huffed, puffing out her chest indignantly. It baffled her that someone like Qian Ran would reject such a privileged offer.

Each of the girls here was not only academically gifted but also among the most attractive in the academy—girls who were constantly pursued. Yet here was Qian Ran, acting indifferent.

"Top students? For a few academic credits? Aren't top students supposed to get into Mingde Hall easily? Why bother with this?" Qian Ran smirked, clearly unimpressed.

"You don't understand. Academic credits are always tight for top students!" Keke retorted, rolling her eyes.

"Ah…" Qian Ran finally understood. For academic prodigies, their scores were almost always maxed out. Any additional credits could make a critical difference in separating the best from the rest.

It seemed Lin Jiayi, who had devised this plan, hadn't anticipated that a seemingly minor reward would attract the true cream of the crop. Ironically, those who didn't care about a few extra credits—the average students—weren't interested at all.

"So, what's in it for me if I let you stay? Unless…" Qian Ran's eyes swept over Keke and the others, a playful glint in his gaze. Knowing they were all top students at the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineering Academy only made him more intrigued.

Qian Ran had a weakness for strong, talented women.

"What are you thinking?" Keke and the other girls blushed under his gaze, lowering their heads in embarrassment. Keke, however, still glared at him indignantly, her cheeks burning red. She knew Qian Ran was a shameless flirt—his first glance at her back in the lab had been full of blatant appreciation.

"What else? Mutual learning and growth, of course," Qian Ran said with a mischievous smile. His words were appropriate, but his playful tone made Keke doubt his sincerity.

"You Sun Moon folks sure are generous, sending such beautiful, talented girls to take care of me. I didn't even have it this good at Shrek Academy. Since you don't want to leave, I won't say no. Here's my room key—make copies so each of you has one." Qian Ran tossed the key casually to Keke.

After all, free benefits were too good to pass up.
