Double Jade's fate

Every day in the afternoon, he will come into the cold palace to search for her. When he finds his empress, he mercilessly torment her. He watch her emotion run through her face. He is love is strange and unkind. 

"Isn't it enough for today?"

She keep silence and stare at him.

He stare deep in her eyes and try to recall what was he doing at point of time. He was listening to music by a young musician in the palace. He had ladies to feed him fruits and he is enjoying the sun behind his back. Everything is perfect while the other room, his war minsters are planning the direction of attack.

"Your majesty, please take a look at the map and the message to convey to your armies at border. " The emperor took the map and read the letter along with it. "Is this the best route they should take?"

"Your majesty, it is base on the geographic nature of the land, this is the best way they should go forward."

As they talk, there is a commotion outside the palace door. A palace guard walk in with haste. He bow and reported there is an injured solider at the city main entrance. He had come with bad news that the leading commander Xian Wen is missing on the battlefield after clashing with the other side. Also the number of casualties is high. The emperor hearing this, panic but soon he is calm down. He stood up and hold the letter and map in hand. He walk around the room. 

"Call all my war minsters and prime minister in. It's an emergency meeting. That injured solider, bring him to be treated immediately." After the palace guard left, the eunuch quickly goes off to. The emperor ordered the news to be seal within this room for now. He squint his eyes to look out beyond the city wall. He sigh and mumbled to himself. "You better be alive somewhere then here. If you can, don't come back." He look away and walk inside of the room. 

The emperor look at his empress and run his long finger down from her neck to her collar. "You don't know anything about Wen'er and me. Our bond as brothers are different from you and your sister."

"From what i see, you are just wanting to take whatever he have."

"That is not true. I never take everything he have. I seal his mansion to keep it there as long as i can. His properties are temporary hand over to the royal financial bureaucracy. His army is now emerged with Tang Li. What else have i taken? Nothing!"

"You took his wife."

"It wasn't his to start with. I was the one who asked my father first for the marriage."

"Then you should know what is the reason the late emperor did not allow you to marry her."

I got up and walk to the small table. He pour a cup of tea and look at his wife. 

"A crown prince who is going to take over the throne and have the power on military army. What will the court think? What will the people say?"

She smirk. He drink the tea and walk to her after he put down the cup. 

"Is it that's the reason why i can't marry her? And i have to marry the daughter of a prime minster? I don't think so. You must have a hand in this. You are the one that make this family drama."

He stare at her with anger and reach out to hold her neck. 

"Remember this my empress. No matter what you say, what you want to do. You are still my wife. I will never divorce you. You will continue to be the mother of this nation. Only problem is that your face will never appear in public. Alway hidden behind Shung Yu. People will know her and remember her..."

"You are just blackening her name. Everyone knows that she is sleep with her husband's brother and producing children for him! She will be label as a whore!"

With this she removed a tight grip on her throat. Minutes later he release her and walk back out. "Tomorrow i will come back to teach you more lessons. You are still unrepentant of the things you have done!" He yell as he walks and there the door is slam with the sound of the keys turn. Once again the room remain silence. She only can hear the tears and frustration that she have.
