Dissent and Daffodils

Chapter 6: Encouraged

Hazel was perfecting her look when she heard footsteps behind her. Before she could see who it was, the newcomer turned off the lights. Hazel stood frozen in place as the person walked up to her and grabbed her waist, pulling her back against their chest. The hands were soft, and the fingers were long. It was a woman. Hazel's mind raced with thoughts of pushing her away or hurting her, but her heart told her she was safe. Trusting her heart, Hazel remained still.

The stranger's hand pressed into her hips as she kissed Hazel's neck. Hazel moaned at the sensation of the woman's soft lips against her skin. Encouraged by Hazel's reaction, the woman suckled at her neck, leaving a hickey behind. Hazel was too lost in the moment to notice. Her knees shook as she leaned back, giving the woman greater access.

As the intensity of the kisses increased, Hazel leaned against the basin for support, her hands gripping the edge to keep herself steady. The woman then kissed her cheek and stepped back, turning on the lights as she left. Hazel was left to navigate the whirlwind of emotions from this unexpected encounter on her own.

Feeling disoriented, Hazel made her way back to her friends, who were chatting peacefully. Upon her arrival, one of them, Adam, noticed the hickey on her neck. "Whoa, Hazel, you have a secret lover? How come you never told us about them?" Adam teased.

Hazel shared what had just happened inside. Her friends quickly gathered around her and handed her a bottle of water, which she gulped down. "Hazel, are you okay?" asked another friend, Evans.

"That's the thing," Hazel replied. "It happened suddenly, but I didn't feel violated for a second. In fact, I liked it. Whoever she was, she was just a step away from completely unraveling me, and I wouldn't have stopped her for anything." Hazel smiled at the thought.

"Hazel, she kissed you without your permission. You should report this to the office," Ivy said seriously.

"I know, but I don't want to report it. However, I do want to find out who it was," Hazel said thoughtfully.

"Well, if you're okay, then there's probably no need to report it," Adam concluded. "But just so you know, you'll have to wear a high neckline to class tomorrow. Your secret admirer was pretty intense," he teased again.

Hazel lightly punched his arm for teasing her, and the others laughed at his comment.
