Dimensional Kaguya Ōtsutsuki

Chapter 599: Tricked

Morning sunlight streamed gently through the window, piercing the thick curtains and casting a warm glow on the girl lying on the soft down bed.

The black-haired girl's eyelashes trembled slightly before she slowly opened her drowsy eyes. However, a sharp pain suddenly shot through her head, forcing her to clutch her forehead.

There were many reasons why she disliked drinking, but the most critical one was the unbearable headache that followed. It felt as if she were on the brink of death—perhaps even worse than dying—sometimes it hurt so much that she could only roll around in agony.

As she prepared to get out of bed to use the restroom, she suddenly realized that her hand was gripping something soft, smooth, and incredibly elastic. It felt silky, almost too slippery to hold onto.

What the hell is this?

Frowning, Kaguya tried to figure out exactly what she was holding that could have such a peculiar texture.

Her memory of last night was hazy at best. She vaguely remembered Akira Mado inviting her out for drinks. Normally, she had no interest in drinking, but unable to refuse Akira's enthusiasm, she reluctantly agreed. What happened after that was a blur—she had gotten drunk and everything else was a blank.

Looking around, she took in her surroundings. The room had a soft pink theme, with a plush down bed, pear blossom wood furniture, and delicate wall paintings and decorations that exuded a refined and fresh atmosphere. However, this was clearly not her room—her place would never have things like stuffed teddy bears lying around.

Where am I?

Could it be...

Suddenly, Kaguya, still groggy from sleep, snapped to full alertness.

The soft sensation in her palm, combined with the subtle, slippery texture beneath her fingers, made her unconsciously squeeze it a few more times.

"Mmnh..."

A soft, coquettish voice unexpectedly sounded.

Wait a minute... did Akira Mado last night—

But as Kaguya turned her head, the face she saw was not Akira's as she had expected, but someone else entirely—someone very familiar.

Long, violet hair cascaded like a waterfall, perfectly shaped eyebrows, enchanting eyes that sparkled with mischief, a delicate, flawless face, and lips curled into a playful smile. Peeking from beneath the down comforter was an expanse of smooth, fair skin that seemed to glow in the soft morning light.

"Rize…?" Kaguya couldn't help but exclaim in shock.

What the hell is going on here? Even if she wasn't in her own home, she should at least be in Akira's place, so why was she here?

However, part of her felt relieved that Akira hadn't taken her home. If she had, it would've ended in disaster—either Akira would have been eaten by those two little brats at home, or Kaguya herself would have been their target. Either way, the outcome wouldn't have been pleasant.

Still, the current situation was beyond confusing.

"Good morning, my dear." Rize Kamishiro greeted her with an adorable smile.

"Oh… oh, good morning." Kaguya instinctively responded, but quickly realized something was off. Grabbing Rize's pale shoulders, she asked in a panicked voice, "Wait! This isn't the time for greetings! Why are you here? And where is this place? How did I end up here?"

"You're still as impatient as ever," Rize said, covering her mouth as she giggled.

"Don't say things that could cause misunderstandings!" Kaguya shouted, flustered.

"Don't be so anxious; it's not such a big deal," Rize Kamishiro smiled and said. "This is Akira Mado's house. So, how does it feel to do those things in someone else's home? Exciting, isn't it?"

"What 'those things'? What do you mean by exciting?" A bad premonition suddenly rose in Kaguya's heart.

"Isn't it?" Rize stretched out her fair arms and wrapped them around Kaguya. As the down quilt slid off her body, it revealed large expanses of smooth skin and her perfectly round, full chest. "Have you already forgotten what happened last night?"

Forget? Forget my ass! I don't know anything, alright?

Kaguya felt like she was going to be driven insane by this seductive demon.

"Wait," Kaguya suddenly thought of something and asked, "Where's Akira?"

"Oh, are you talking about that one?" Rize said nonchalantly, "She's already dead."

Kaguya's face changed drastically, and she exclaimed in shock, "D-Dead?"

"What's the big deal?" Rize laughed. "It's just a human, after all. If she's dead, she's dead. It's not such a big deal, is it?"

"Who killed her? Where is she?" Kaguya steadied herself and asked in a low voice.

Rize pointed to her own cheek with a finger and smiled brilliantly. "I did."

"You—?" Kaguya's heart trembled violently.

"Yes. That woman always hung around you, acting so arrogant, thinking she could protect you from everything." Rize's voice was laced with a teasing tone as she continued, "I found it quite annoying, so I dealt with her. Now, isn't that better?"

Before she could finish her words, a dark shadow flashed, and a hand clamped around her neck.

"Are you going to tell me or not?" Kaguya tightened her grip, her eyes gleaming coldly.

"I already told you, I killed her," Rize struggled to breathe as she spoke with difficulty.

"Are you not afraid I'll kill you?" Kaguya's eyes narrowed dangerously.

"Then go ahead and do it." Rize rasped, showing no trace of fear on her face. Instead, she looked at Kaguya with an amused expression.

Kaguya's fingers pressed deeper into Rize's smooth neck, tightening bit by bit. With each movement, Rize's breathing grew more labored, her delicate face turning red from lack of oxygen, and her chest heaved violently. Her beautiful eyes gradually glazed over and began to roll back slightly.

"Forget it," Kaguya snorted and let go, throwing Rize back onto the bed. "If you won't talk, then forget it. I wasn't expecting much from your mouth anyway."

If worst comes to worst, she could just use the Gedo Art of Rinne Rebirth to bring Akira back. It wasn't like there was no way to save her. But what puzzled Kaguya was Rize's purpose for coming here and why she would pull such a ridiculous stunt. She should know that provoking Kaguya would do her no good.

"Cough cough cough..."

Rize covered her mouth and coughed violently. She showed no concern for her exposed, bare body in front of Kaguya. Lifting her head with a playful smirk, she said, "That was dangerous. I really thought you were going to kill me. But you're right—I didn't actually kill her. However..."

As she spoke, a sly smile curled on her lips.

"I have no interest in whatever you're about to say, so you can stop talking," Kaguya turned around, giving her a cold glance. "If you have nothing important, please leave. Uninvited guests are not welcome here."

"How cold," Rize Kamishiro giggled, covering her face with her hands. "But it's also quite charming."

"Are you mentally ill?" Kaguya frowned. "Are you done talking?"

"Not yet," Rize's beautiful eyes sparkled with amusement as she smiled. "Aren't you going to consider it? Or do you simply have no feelings for that woman? If she disappears, it won't matter to you, right?"

"That's none of your concern," Kaguya snorted. "I have my own ways of handling things, so you don't need to worry."

Finding Akira Mado wouldn't be particularly difficult—it would just take a little effort. If Rize thought she could use this as leverage, she was gravely mistaken.

"If you think she's nearby, you might be disappointed," Rize said confidently, as if she had seen through Kaguya's thoughts. "She's not here anymore."

Kaguya's eyebrows twitched slightly. Rize was right—Kaguya had initially assumed Akira wouldn't be taken too far away. Even if she was hidden, she couldn't have gone too far, and Kaguya's visual abilities could easily track her down.

But what if she had been transported overnight?

Kaguya suddenly turned around, her face as cold as ice, and said in a deep voice, "Are you trying to provoke me?"

"Of course not. How could I dare provoke you?" Rize smiled charmingly, got out of bed, and walked over, completely unconcerned about exposing her bare body. Leaning against Kaguya's back, she whispered playfully, "What if you get angry and kill me?"

Kaguya ignored her perfect figure, glanced at her, and said, "At least you know your place. But playing tricks won't end well for you. I hope you're smart enough to know what to do."

"You're really fierce," Rize laughed. "But, isn't this place not your home?"

Kaguya's expression stiffened. She had to admit—this wasn't her home; it was Akira Mado's.

"Alright, I won't tease you anymore," Rize picked up the clothes on the bed and began dressing. "I didn't actually kidnap your little sweetheart; I was just passing through."

Kaguya's mouth twitched, and she turned around with an unfriendly expression. "Do you take me for an idiot?"

Do you think I'm some random bystander? Just passing through, huh.

"Believe it or not, it's up to you," Rize said, now fully dressed, her alluring body concealed beneath the fabric. With a coquettish smile, she continued, "But, I can offer you some information—if you do a little favor for me. Don't worry, it's nothing difficult, and there's no rush. I'll let you know when the time comes. What do you think?"

"Are you blackmailing me?" Kaguya narrowed her eyes at her.

"I wouldn't dare," Rize blinked her beautiful eyes innocently. "If you don't want to, it's fine. I'm just here to pass along a message. Whether you believe it or not is entirely up to you."

"Speak." Kaguya's tone was indifferent.

"Since you've agreed, I'll tell you," Rize smirked triumphantly, leaning in with a mysterious glint in her eyes. "Who do you think attacked the CCG headquarters recently?"

"Who else? It's either Aogiri Tree or the Clowns—those ghouls," Kaguya replied flatly.

"Oh?" Rize's eyes widened in surprise. "I didn't expect you to guess so easily. As expected of the leader of Akatsuki."

Hearing this, Kaguya's brows furrowed tightly, and her expression darkened as she asked, "How do you know this?"

Rize Kamishiro blinked and said, "Secret."

"Enough with the riddles. Just spit it out already," Kaguya said impatiently.

Rize extended a finger and beckoned Kaguya closer, the corner of her mouth curling into a seductive smile. "Come here, and I'll tell you."

...

An hour later.

Rize had already left, and the information she provided was largely in line with Kaguya's own suspicions. The recent attack on the CCG had indeed been orchestrated by the Clowns, with Kichimura Washuu—the elusive figure of recent events—being the mastermind behind it. Kaguya had already suspected him, given that he had done similar things in the original storyline. Rize's words only confirmed her suspicions.

Moreover, Kaguya received shocking news—Dr. Akihiro Kanou's ghoulification experiments had achieved unprecedented success. The breakthrough had allowed him to create ghouls whose RC factor concentration exceeded 50, something never seen before. These very experiments had produced the monstrous entities that had assaulted the CCG headquarters.

But why had Rize gone out of her way to deliver this information to her? What was her true motive?

Wait a minute... She still hadn't mentioned where Akira Mado was.

That sly fox had tricked her!

Just as Kaguya gritted her teeth, ready to storm out and hunt Rize down, the doorbell suddenly rang, startling her.

When she opened the door, Kaguya froze in place.

The person standing there wasn't anyone else but Akira Mado, the very person she thought had been kidnapped.

"You're up already? I thought you'd still be asleep. Sorry about that," Akira said with a smile.

Thinking she was still asleep... and yet she rang the doorbell?

Wait—wasn't the main point something else here?

"Y-You're okay?" Kaguya stammered, still processing what was happening.

"Of course, what do you mean 'okay'?" Akira looked at her in confusion. "I've been fine all along. Are you still drunk?"

Fine? But hadn't she been kidnapped? Yet from the look of her, she didn't seem like someone who had been abducted at all.

"Then... where did you go this morning?" Kaguya asked suspiciously.

"I went out for a run, of course. Picked up some breakfast on the way," Akira said, raising the bag in her hand. "Why? Did something happen?"

"...No, nothing," Kaguya twitched slightly, realizing she had been completely played by that woman.
