The vortex intensified, growing into a whirlwind with splashing water at its outer edge.

The whirlwind, centered on Ryuji, spread outward. His blue robe and hair, patterned with water ripples, swirled in the wind.

Tanjiro and the others were amazed. This was a technique beyond the Ten Forms of Water Breathing, something Tanjiro had never seen before. He wondered when Ryuji had created it.

Tanjiro, always close to Ryuji, still hadn't fully mastered the modified First Form he'd learned from him. He could use it, but nowhere near the speed Ryuji had shown against the {Hand Demon}.

Tanjiro could manage a maximum of four strikes per second for two seconds—eight strikes total. Ryuji had performed nearly forty against the {Hand Demon}. The difference was vast.

Tanjiro needed more experience to create his own techniques.

Shinichi didn't understand Ryuji's actions but was awed by the spectacle and didn't interrupt.

Shinji was even more impressed by Ryuji's power, clearly enhanced since their last meeting two months prior.

This technique, a refinement of Ryuji's self-created Eleventh and Twelfth Forms, unleashed a barrage of sword energy at all targets within a fifty-meter radius that he had mentally marked. The more targets, the weaker the individual attacks.

Advantages: simultaneous attacks on multiple targets. Disadvantages: long casting time, not instantaneous.

As Ryuji quickly sheathed his blade, water erupted from beneath his feet. The whirlwind vanished, leaving the air still.

Within fifty meters, all the controlled Demon Slayers were struck by concentrated sword energy.

The energy wasn't as strong as the Twelfth Form's Dark Blade Annihilation or the Eleventh Form's Water Serpent Slash. Against a {demon}, it would only inflict superficial wounds.

However, it easily severed the spider silk controlling the Slayers.

All the Slayers surrounding them lost control and fell to the ground.

Shinichi was speechless. Such skill was extraordinary. Even as a higher-ranked Class A Slayer, he couldn't have freed so many people instantly.

"Is this still the skill level of a Ding-rank Slayer?" Shinichi thought incredulously.

Even if Tanjiro claimed Ryuji was one of the Nine Hashira, Shinichi would believe it without question.
