Devouring Demons in Demon Slayer

Following Tanjiro, Ryuji delved deeper into the mountain. Tanjiro quickly detected the scent of survivors and turned to Ryuji, "Ryuji-senpai, there are survivors! Let's find them!"

Ryuji agreed.

A few minutes later, Tanjiro spotted two figures hiding behind a large tree. Approaching cautiously, they recognized them as Demon Slayers.

As Tanjiro was about to greet them, one of them turned, looking behind him in terror.

Recognizing him, Tanjiro exclaimed, "Shinji!"

"Tanjiro! Ryuji-senpai!" Shinji replied, surprised.

The other Slayer turned, observing Ryuji, Tanjiro, and Inosuke. He asked Shinji, "Do you know them?"

Shinji nodded. "Brother, these are friends I met during the Final Selection."

Shinji's brother, Murata, was two classes ahead of Ryuji and Tanjiro. Shinji often mentioned him, so Tanjiro greeted him politely, "Shinichi-senpai, I'm Tanjiro Kamado. I'm friends with Shinji."

—"This white-haired one is Ryuji-senpai, and the one with the boar head is Inosuke." Tanjiro introduced the others.

Learning they were from the same class, Shinichi looked disappointed. "You shouldn't be here. You're only Ding-rank; you'll die! Even I, a Class A, barely escaped with Shinji. Only the Hashira can defeat the {demons} on Spider Mountain!"

As Shinichi finished, Inosuke punched him in the face, saying, "Don't be so condescending! Your existence is meaningless. Explain the situation, weakling!"

"Inosuke!" Tanjiro shouted, but Inosuke ignored him.

Ryuji didn't intervene, watching calmly.

Shinji, not knowing Inosuke, was upset by his attack and insulting words. He pushed Inosuke away, retorting, "My brother isn't weak! He protected me!"

Inosuke, thinking Shinji wanted a duel, prepared to retaliate, but Ryuji stopped him, "Don't get carried away!"

"Shinji, Murata-senpai, I'm sorry! Inosuke is a bit… straightforward, but he's not bad. Please don't mind him," Tanjiro apologized.
