Devastating The Murim with My Little Sister

P.O.V - David.

I sit on my bed cultivating when I hear a knock on the door.

I planned to ignore it since I was cultivating but the person knocks two more times.

I go over to open the door and standing there was Dang So.

"Ohh, hello." I say to her.

"Hello, were you busy?" She asks.

"Well, yhh, I was cultivating." I reply.

"Well, sorry to disturb you, may I come in?" She asks.

I heave a short sigh and let her come in.

She goes to sit on the chair facing my bed.

I shut the door and go over to sit on the bed.

"So what you brought you here to disturb my peace?" I ask.

She gives a little smile.

"I just came to inform you about our movement.

We would be returning back to the Clan tomorrow.

Rather than following through Yangzo there is a shorter way.

What is your plan?

Are you going to follow us?

We would be happy for you to tag along till you are good enough to drop off." Dang So explains.

Hmmmm.

If they aren't going through Yangzo, that means they may not pass by the territory of the Ximen Clan.

Well it's not like I can go back now.

I haven't really gained anything from this trip yet.

Maybe I'll just tag along with them and drop anywhere along the road to continue my personal trip.

Yhh that's what I'll do.

"Okay, I'll just tag along and drop anywhere along the road." I reply her.

She looks at me for a while and with a bow of the head she says;

"Thank you.

On behalf of the Patriarch I want to thank you for your assistance.

You have been a very huge help."

I smile a little.

"Oh please, this courtesy act doesn't really suit you." I say teasing her.

"Maybe removing your head as a way to show my thanks would have been better?" She says and we both burst out laughing.

"I hope we both meet again, stronger and healthy." She says.

"Yhhh, just watch, the next time we meet, I'll be way stronger than you, so train hard if you do not want me to leave me in the dust." I respond.

She smiles a little and we dap our hand together making a loud handshake.

"Say that when you are at least on the same level as me." She says as she gets up.

This arrogant little girl.

She walks towards the door and opens it.

She was about stepping out but then she halts.

"Do not think anything of this as I also do not know why I'm doing this." She says.

Suddenly she turns and hugs me tight.

I was surprised I couldn't respond for a second.

Slowly I hugged her back and after a while she released and without looking me in the eyes she leaves the room.

I stand there wandering what that was about.

Unknowingly I was smiling for some reason.

I close the door and go back to my bed.

As the sun sets.

On a certain hill.

Within the Ximen Clan's territory, the Grand Elder of the Ximen Clan stands looking down at a village.

"This is where you say the children he meets with come from?" The Grand Elder asks.

"Y...yes." The Brotae, the Late Peak who survived Davids lightning strike replies.

"I see, well then, let nothing remain." The Grand Elder says as he turns and leaves the scene.

As he says this a number of Martial Artists covered in all black swarmed the village.

Overpowering the villagers they killed them and burnt their properties.

They spared no one.

Male? Female? Children? They were all killed.

Some of the children David rescued banded together to try and escape but they were caught.

Crying for help, calling out believing that someone will hear them they were all slaughtered gruesomely.

A few of the children were able to escape to the forest due to the sacrifice of the other children.

But the forest itselft was not a safe place for anyone, talk less for children.

That night, the village burned and burned till there was nothing left for the fire to engulf.

P.O.V - David.

The following day the Second Elder went to deliver the goods to the Golden Manor Merchant group.

He came back and it was time to leave.

Before we left, at the ground floor, the Patriarch stopped me to speak with me in the presence of the Second Elder and Dang So.

"Namgoong Yeong, thank you very much.

You have been very helpful in this journey of ours and for that, I offer my sincerest gratitude." The Patriarch says with a bow of the head.

"Please Patriarch, theres no need for that, afterall it was you people who saved me when I was passed out on the road." I reply.

The Patriarch smiles and the from his storage ring he brings out four items.

One was a token, bearing the sign of the Tang Clan.

It meant wherever I went, using the token I would be treated as someone just below the Patriarch of the Tang Clan.

Wow, to give that to me.

The one was a pouch containing money.

"Just treat it as an allowance from an uncle." The Patriarch says.

I smile and go ahead to check the remaining two.

They were two boxes.

Opening them I was utterly surprised.

Not I alone, even Dang So and the Second Elder were just as suprised if not more surprised.

In one box was the Supreme Yang Dominating Pill.

It was an extremely rare pill said to only be accessible by Patriachs or Sect Masters of the Five Great Families and Nine Pristine Sects.

How can he give me something so prescious.

The other was something I didn't really know.

But from the look on the Second Elder's face it was definitely something prescious.

"Umm, may I ask what this is?" I ask the Second Elder.

At first he looked annoyed that I didn't know what I held in my hand but then he calmed down.

"Well of course you wouldn't know.

It's something so rare that even I am seeing it for the first time.

I wasn't even sure we had one in our Clan." The Second Elder says.

An Elder of the Tang Clan is seeing a pill for the First time?

"That is the Poison fusion pill, it is a pill so rare and so difficult to create that only five have been successfully createdbin the history of the Murim.

When taken properly, by the right person and under the right conditions one could become immune to ten thousand poisons, receive a large amount of internal energy and have his Meridians cleansed.

Even if it's not taken well, one could still gain a little level of immunity, purification of the meridians and a huge increase in Ki." The Second Elder explains.

"Can you actually give this to him Patriarch?" The Second asks the Patriarch.

The Patriarch remains silent with his eyes closed and his arms folded.

The Second Elder heaves a sigh.

"If that is the decision of the Patriarch I shall oblige." The Second Elder says.

By the time he was done explaining, I was utterly shocked.

I wasn't the only one, Dang So was also very suprised.

How can he give me something like this.

This is too much.

I was about to reject it when the Patriarch suddenly says.

"It is rude to reject something your uncle gave you Namgoong Yeong, do you plan on being rude to me?" He asks.

At that point I could say anything.

Damn.

Though I'm already immune to all poisons he doesn't know that.

I guess I gotta owe him one.

"I shall repay this debt one day Patriarch." I say with a bow of my head.

The Patriarch waves it off.

He makes some jokes and we all laugh as we head towards the carriage.

Well, I guess now I do not need to continue my journey, I should just return home.

"Since following Yangzo could get you closer to wherever you are going, we later decided to take that way after I spoke with the Patriach." Dang So says.

"Oohhh, you spoke to the Patriarch for me?" I say in a teasing tone.

"Ohh shut up, I also wanted to enjoy the journey longer." She says looking away embarrassed.

"That's so cute." I think to myself.

We began our journey and after two days we arrived at the base of the mountain where they found me.

During the journey we all gisted and laughed together.

Even the uptight Second Elder let loose during the journey.

I dropped and they left as they waved bye.

At the base of the mountain I stood looking up.

Well, back to square one.

I began climbing.

I could have stopped at a better place at the other side of the mountain where I could more easily approach the clan but I wanted to do this.

I wanted to challenge that spirit beast.

I felt on the verge of a breakthrough and I needed that catalyst to help me with it.

And a life an death battle with a level 10 spirit beast should do well.

I was climbing the mountain when I spotted something, someone infact.

Someone who was not supposed to be here.

Under a tree picking up fallen fruits was Conan.

What is he doing here, this place is dangerous.

I began walking towards him when I saw something approaching from behind him.

It was the Spirit Beast.

Shit.

With all my might at the highest speed I could muster I dashed towards him trying to save him.
