DESTINY GAMES

Chapter 342: Relative Freedom.

In theory, wayfarers can grow without limit. But there is a diminishing return after a certain point. This diminishing return makes it more effective for the population to break up and a new, younger wayfarer to be groomed and fed.

This way, a community splits up over time into several communities, all living in different wayfarers. This is how they have survived in this world and managed to build a civilization.

Their civilization is a civilization of moving cities. Wayfarers are always on the move, following the magnetic fields all year round. Rarely do they stop.

There is very little that can threaten something the size of a city with a shell that served as an all-encompassing city wall. Some of them die of old age. when they are starved or stop growing, but others keep growing until they become demigods.

He is envious of the ability of the wayfarers. Fortunately, he doesn't have to kill a wayfarer to get it. Every Kunut has the ability within them.

Every Kunut is a non-reproductive, but they can become reproductives, or wayfarers, or librarians. It all depends on what part of their body they choose to develop.

The librarians are Kunuts who choose to develop their brains. They like the reproductives never leave their hikes within a wayfarer. But unlike the reproductives who are responsible for fertilizing and producing fertilized eggs, what they do is store knowledge and make decisions for the city.

The librarians are the leaders of the communities of Kunuts. They have photographic memories and know the history of a community, so they are the ones most qualified to make decisions and direct the growth of a community.

The power of their minds is so powerful that librarians in different cities can communicate with each other over vast areas of land. The most powerful of them can even wander the cosmos with their minds and communicate with advanced civilizations.

That's how the vampire and Yggdrasil civilizations came to this world. They were both contacted by different librarians.

It is clear that the librarians have a high level of authority and power in the society of Kunut. It won't be easy for him to get to them at all.

Actually, it won't be easy to get any Kunuts and steal their ability. They are allies after all. But he is sure that he can get some criminals that he can do whatever he wants with.

He is sure because some Kunuts are working for the Vampires. No one will bat an eye if he kills those kinds of Kunuts.

He spread his arms wide and said, "At the very least, I am free and don't have to hide here."

His situation is much better than his situation on Earth-11. Back at home, he was hunted by Icon and couldn't move around however he wanted.

There were many abilities he would have liked to get from the black market. The one he was most looking forward to is the Overload ability.

The Overload ability is an ability that can let him burst with power beyond his capabilities for a brief instant or an attack in exchange for all of his stamina and focus. It is a powerful ability that he had wanted to get before, but he instead went with danger perception and power identification abilities.

This was before he went on the expedition to the Lignum world. He was hoping to retrieve the ability after he returned. But Icon didn't let him go after he got Rewind's ability.

Then he was trapped when he tried to get Havoc's metal manipulation ability. That trap almost killed him. Since then he had been hiding in the core of the world.

He was restricted on Earth-11, but here he has freedom. It is not complete freedom, as he has some responsibilities as a soldier. But it is better than what he had before.

He was thinking about the abilities of vampires and the Kunut race and what he could fuse them with when he sensed a powerful being approaching him.

The danger sensed from the person was grave danger. In his vision, they were huge and black like a black star.

But he didn't run because he didn't sense any ill intent from the person and because the mark on his arm successfully synchronized with the mark on the other party and informed him that the person is a soldier of the Yggdrasil civilization.

Seeing as the person is a demigod, they had to be one of the five commanders of the expedition. If they were dangerous to him, then nowhere on Umbra is safe for him.

He also had the Space Anchor ability from Rewind, so he was confident to a significant extent that he would be able to escape. This confidence made him stay still and wait for the person to arrive.

He was running before doing his job as a scout, but he stopped running now to avoid misunderstandings.

He didn't have to wait for long. It was just a few seconds of waiting, but it felt like eternity.

He kept saying to himself, "Please pass me by. Please pass me by. Please pass me by."

But the demigod didn't pass him by. They stopped some distance from him and didn't approach anymore.

He couldn't see the demigod's figure because it was hazy in his vision. But he still saw that they seemed to be moving parts of their body.

The demigod put her hand over her chest in salute and said, "Dancing Flowers greets the paragon?"

He was taken aback. He said in return, "Kelvin greets the superior commander."

The two of them stood some ten meters apart. One was a soldier with an ordinary face and a body that seemed to be made of black stone. He stood on the ground looking up at the figure opposite him standing in the air.

The other was a hazy figure. She stood in the air looking down on him, but there was no oppression in her stance and demeanor. At the very least, she was speaking as if she was chatting with her equal.
