DC: Rise of the Kryptonian Tyrant

Chapter 91: Chapter 91

"Are you... still my slave?"

Jenny's massive lantern-like eyes welled with blood. Crimson droplets seeped from her clenched fists, falling through the air. The camp's strong floodlights illuminated each bead of blood, turning them into glistening rubies before they splattered onto the ground, staining the earth with streaks of scarlet.

She raised her right hand with effort, as if wanting to show something to Bardi—a ring.

The ring Bardi had given her, the one he had meant to use to propose under the sunlight.

No matter what…

*You are my Bardi.*

*I will never change. In this life, my loyalty belongs to you and you alone.*

*I am yours.*

Her lips trembled as she tried to speak.

"Bardi…" Jenny rasped, struggling to force the sound out. Her eyes locked on him, desperation written all over her face.

But then her gaze fell to her own hand, and she froze.

Her hand… rough, grotesque, an abomination. Her once fair skin was now disfigured with protruding white bones and thick, keratinized growths. Her arm was gray-black, marred with pigmentation, dead skin, and patches of sticky flesh.

Her ring was gone. It had been swallowed by the warped, swollen flesh of her fingers. Even she couldn't see it anymore. What could she possibly show Bardi now?

Blood poured from her hand in thick streams, pooling on the ground and releasing a nauseating metallic stench.

Pain surged through her body again, an unbearable, maddening agony. Every bone in her body felt as though it was shattering. Each heartbeat sent fiery needles stabbing into her chest.

She stared at her monstrous hands in horror, as if to silently ask: *Where is the ring?*

At that moment, General Vic stormed out of the barracks, followed closely by Colonel Valiffe. Behind them, the camp's automated defenses, the laser weapons and ultrasonic cannons, trained their sights on Bardi, ready to fire at a moment's notice.

General Vic's face twisted in fury. He had already planned everything, setting the camp's arsenal against Bardi before even stepping out into the open.

But when he saw Jenny standing there, staring blankly at her hands like a lost child, his anger boiled over.

"Jenny!! What are you doing?!" he bellowed, his voice harsh and commanding.

Jenny flinched at the sound of Vic's roar, snapping out of her daze. She turned to look at him, her massive eyes filled with confusion and grief.

Tears—each the size of fists—rolled down her disfigured face, splashing onto the ground.

Pain wracked her body and soul. Every cell in her body felt as though it was being ripped apart, while her heart ached with a pain far deeper.

She longed to see Bardi, to hold him, to feel his arms around her.

But she was terrified.

She feared what she had become. She feared facing him.

She feared that the love they once shared had been irreparably destroyed.

*Can I still hold you the way I used to?*

*Can I still kiss you like before, sit on your lap, and feel your heartbeat against my chest?*

The questions tormented her. And now, standing before him, she didn't know what to do.

The anguish in her heart had nowhere to go, nowhere to release.

Seeing Jenny frozen in indecision, General Vic's rage erupted. His thoughts twisted with bitterness and blame.

"This is all his fault," he seethed inwardly, his glare fixated on Bardi.

Bardi had destroyed everything, his research, his reputation, his plans.

Vic convinced himself that he had been generous, that allowing Jenny and Bardi to love each other had been a gift from him.

"They had their chance, and they wasted it!" Vic thought, his mind spiraling into delusion.

"If they didn't cherish it… they can both die!"

With his face contorted in rage, Vic pointed at Bardi and roared:

"Kill him!! Kill that monster!"

His scream echoed through the silent camp, loud and venomous.

The air seemed to still. Even the wind stopped, and the camp fell eerily quiet.

Jenny's pain—physical, emotional, and mental—crystallized into a single emotion: rage.

Her enormous body, standing over thirteen meters tall, radiated a blistering heat. She transformed into a wrathful, ancient beast. Her eyes burned with a crimson light, sharp and deadly like a serpent's glare.

"No one can hurt Bardi!" she bellowed.

Her deafening roar tore through the air, shattering the stillness of the camp. The sound waves rippled outward, shaking the ground beneath her feet.

Nearby soldiers clutched their ears as the roar assaulted their senses, leaving them disoriented and deafened.

General Vic stumbled back, terror flashing across his face. The heat radiating from Jenny's body scorched the air around him, making him feel as though he was standing in a furnace. His mouth went dry, and his vision blurred from the oppressive heat.

Jenny's fury reached its peak. She swung her massive hand toward Vic, the air howling as her arm swept through it like a hurricane.

Colonel Willife reacted quickly, shoving Vic out of harm's way. But she couldn't escape herself, Jenny's massive hand struck the ground near her, sending a shockwave that threw her off her feet.

Jenny's glowing red eyes locked onto Vic. Her movements were heavy, shaking the earth as she stomped forward. With a thunderous crash, she drove her hand into the ground, grabbing Vic's legs.

He didn't even have time to scream.

Jenny lifted him like a doll, holding him in her massive grip.

With terrifying strength, she slammed him into the ground.

*BOOM!*

The impact was catastrophic. Blood sprayed in all directions as Vic's body crumpled under the force. His legs twisted at unnatural angles, his spine snapping like a twig. He was dead before he could even process what was happening.

Jenny didn't stop.

"I won't let anyone hurt Bardi!" she roared, her voice hoarse and broken.

She raised her hand and slammed Vic's lifeless body into the ground again and again. Each impact sent shockwaves through the camp, reducing his body to a bloody, unrecognizable mess.

Colonel Willife tried to intervene, but Jenny swatted her away like an insect. The force of the blow shattered Willife's bones and ruptured her organs, killing her instantly.

Jenny's rage knew no bounds. She pounded Vic's remains until there was nothing left but a smear of blood and mangled flesh.

Finally, she tossed the remnants of his legs into the center of the camp, leaving behind a grotesque, horrifying scene.

The soldiers, frozen in terror, watched the display with pale faces and trembling hands.

One of them finally found his voice, shouting:

"Fire!"
