DAUGHTERS

Chapter 23: Job well done

Charles' point of view.

We made billions from our last outing, but due to dashing out, we are millionaires.

I know we will climb to this level, definitely.

I invested a lot in this, so I wasn't surprised. Not at all.

And also, thanks to the daughters, they are doing a fantastic job.

Now we move to our next game. It's all about stopping an attack.

The aim of our job is to either make money, or make people fall in love with us, with our brand, our name, "Daughters".

We would be stopping a planned attack, and hand over the people involved to the authorities.

A billionaire contesting for the presidency candidate made a speech that made foreign investors believe he would have a negative effect on their business if he was elected.

They conspired to take him out before he could make it to the post.

That would not be allowed, unless I wasn't aware. I will do all I can to stop the attack due to the way they planned to take him out.

He was going to hold a campaign in a stadium, and there, they planned to take him out with explosives.

With such an atmosphere that would hold thousands of spectators, if care is not taken, thousands of lives would be lost.

We have to be very careful. These people are desperate, and they won't stop at anything to execute whoever stands in their way.

I made it known to the daughters that as much as I wanted this to be accomplished, I also didn't want to lose any of them.

Because these people are dangerous, and it would be better to abort the mission than to lose any of them, daughters.

There would be exactly ten suicide bombers in the stadium. It's for the best if we could block them off before they make their way into the stadium.

To stop them, we are going to work pretending to be hired by a secret security agency.

That means, just like the last mission, we won't be wearing our uniforms until we capture them all and are about to hand them over.

The daughters will be split into three groups, two apiece. They will be alarmed to be watching each other's backs, while Milan will also be monitoring from home.

Thankfully, the suicide bombers were not planning ours to theirs. All they were thinking was avoiding the police. Since it was not by invitation, people would be allowed in. That means we are free of movements the same way they are.

Ace's point of view.

We are now professionals in our job, but this very mission is dangerous compared to all the ones we have accomplished.

Bombs could explode near us, bombs could explode on us, if, if we fail to identify the suicide bombers before they make their way into the stadium.

Fada paired Mince and me together. I don't know why, but he chose both Mince and me, side by side.

We were spread in two pairs across the stadium, dressed in all black.

It was both Mince and me that were dispatched to the main gate of the stadium.

We were looking for ten suicide bombers, and the first one came. It was easy to identify him.

Mince asked what I saw, I looked to my front and I answered her that I could see a suicide bomber.

Without making him suspect a thing, we directed him to a spot where no one could see us, and called Swiss to the spot to come and do her work and detonate the bomb.

The more people came, the more we hit the targets. Before long, over thirty minutes, we already had eight out of ten.

The last two we couldn't find. We kept searching and searching. Mother kept searching the cameras too, over and over.

We were going around searching for the two remaining suicide bombers when I was suddenly notified by my brain that their target was the candidate.

And the candidate was already giving his speech on the podium, I suddenly came to the right sense that they would be somewhere around the podium.

We left Oscar and Mince at the gate, and commenced searching. We were looking for foreigners with mean and suspicious faces.

Mother helped us locate one of them. She saw on the camera someone who was forcing his way to the podium amidst the crowd.

She guided us to him. The problem was finding him, but now that we have done, another problem is how to take him away from the crowd and not make him set off the bomb.

Amidst the crowd, Vesta laid her hand on his shoulder. Immediately he looked behind him, she snapped his neck and supported him with her body.

Among all my sisters, I was the one that saw what happened. I quickly joined her to walk him to where his colleagues were tied.

Oscar's point of view.

The candidate stopped his speech earlier than expected, and we are still in search of the last suicide bomber.

Others were not yet back from where they took the man. The candidate was taking his leave already, and I saw a woman forcing her way towards the candidate's direction.

We were searching for the last suicide bomber, thinking it was going to be a man, but she was a woman.

I quickly notify others through the communication system once I confirmed. She was forcing her way towards where people were exiting. That was why I sighted her quickly.

She fell to the ground due to the pressure of the crowd, and almost stamped, but she quickly held onto someone and got up.

She was a fat woman. I caught up with her, held her arm and told her that she should allow me to help her.

She thought I was a security officer, and she didn't want to cause a scene. She accepted my offer and followed me.

I was monitoring her the same way she was monitoring me. She might be thinking she would run away from me when we got out of the crowd.

Immediately we got out of the crowd, others joined me, and we quickly seized her hands so she wouldn't set the bomb off.

We carried her to where we tied others. Right in front of them, we changed our clothes into our customized bright yellow hooded wear.

We dabbed our faces with the masks and invited the authorities to the spot.

We were highly praised for a job well done. We saved thousands of lives.

The news soon went viral. Our name was sung. The headlines were, "The daughters held suicide bombes down for the police to arrest".

People are more into us now. We did a "Job well done" and people can't stop speaking about the "Daughters" all over the country.
