Dark Lord in The Twilight

Chapter 30: 29.help

Last night, after training, Tom had noted the results of his spell experiment; it had been quite a tiring night. Today he had to go to the market. After getting out of bed, he put on his gym clothes and got into the car to go to the market. He drove slowly because the roads were icy. The constant melting of the ice on the road might attract attention.

After buying a few things at the market, he also picked up some wine and beer from the liquor section. He hadn't had a drink in a long time. When he left the market, he went to his car, opened the trunk, and put the items inside. His hands were red from the cold.

At that moment, Tom felt someone approaching from behind, so he had his wand ready, but he saw that it was a child. It was a little girl and she was crying. Tom began to look at the girl, wondering who she was. Knowing he couldn't hurt himself, he wasn't too careful around her.

The girl looked at Tom with tears streaming down her face and tried to speak.

"Sir, please help me find the police to help me. There are bad people hurting my mommy and grandpa." Tom was stunned; he didn't expect this to happen. To understand the situation, Tom briefly read the girl's mind.

-------- What Tom Saw in the Little Girl's Mind --------

The little girl was sitting at home with her mother and grandfather when they heard car noises and loud banging on the door from outside. The girl's mother immediately picked her up and went upstairs. When they reached the bed, the mother took the little girl and hid her behind the clothes in the closet. The mother looked at the little girl and began to speak.

"Nora, promise me you won't come out, okay? Promise me you won't come out no matter what you hear. Just stay hidden here."

"Mom, what's happening? I'm scared." The little girl didn't understand anything; she had never seen her mother like this before.

"Promise me now, Nora, that you will not come out of here, okay? Just promise me. If you love me, you'll do it." The woman spoke to her daughter in a worried and determined voice.

The shouting from downstairs grew louder.

"I promise, Mom." The little girl began to cry.

"Don't cry, Nora, don't make any noise. If you love me, you have to do this." The woman was trying to do everything she could to protect her daughter.

The girl nodded her head in agreement without speaking. As the girl waited, the door to the upstairs room closed a short time later. Footsteps were heard from upstairs. Thinking that her mother had come, the little girl got excited and wanted to come out of the closet, but when she heard the voice of an unknown man, she stayed where she was, hiding behind the clothes. At that moment, the door of the room opened. A man entered. The man walked around the room, rummaging through things. When he reached the closet, he slowly opened the door. Finding nothing, the man left the room and shouted.

"There's nobody here, boss."

Because Nora was hiding behind the clothes, the man didn't see her. Nora was afraid to move; she didn't close the closet door. With her short legs, she couldn't run fast anyway. She just waited; she didn't want to break her mother's promise.

After a day had passed, the child came out of the closet. When she didn't find her family at home, she didn't know what to do. She had her mother's phone, but she didn't know how to use it; she was only 6 years old.

When the hungry little girl found some food at home, she ate it. After three days, when there was no more food at home, the little girl had to go outside. She waited for her family to come, but no one came. She went to the market to get some food, but they kicked her out without helping her. Later, the little girl asked Tom for help.

Tom was very tense after what he had seen. He felt he had to help this little girl. He had once slaughtered innocent families, but those responsible for making him emotionless were to blame. While he couldn't take revenge on them, he could help this little girl get her revenge. He could go to the police to avoid dealing with this problem, but he wouldn't take the little girl to the police because he believed he could solve this problem better.

Tom turned to the little girl and asked her a question. "Are you hungry?"

The little girl spoke with a shy expression on her face. "Yes." She had been hungry for a long time, and there was nothing to eat at home.

"Follow me." As Tom called to the child, she began to walk. Tom entered the market with the little girl, intending to shop together.

"What would you like to eat?" Tom first wanted to make sure the little girl's stomach was full. The little girl began to cry because no one had helped her for days. She had been alone.

Seeing the little girl's sadness, Tom tried to cheer her up. "Don't worry, we'll find something to eat together. Then I'll take you to a safe place."

As they walked around the market, Tom showed the little girl some options. "Maybe you'd like a sandwich or a slice of pizza? Or maybe we should get a box of cookies?"

The little girl wiped away her tears and smiled weakly. "I want pizza; I really like pizza."

Just then, a fat old man came over and started yelling. "You rascal, are you trying to cheat my customers now? Get out of here!" The man shouted at the little girl, who began to tremble with fear.

Tom was quite tense after seeing all this. If it weren't for this child, this man wouldn't have made it out of here alive. Tom coldly said to the man, "Little girl, come with me now. Tom looked so deadly that the man was afraid of him. But he didn't back down. "It's fools like you who give them this chance. She's not in trouble. If you protect her, I'll throw you out of the market too."

Tom realized he had reached a point where he couldn't be controlled. Touching his wand, Tom cast a control curse on the man. He wouldn't hurt the man now, but no one knew what would happen later. Under the influence of the curse, the man left without saying anything.

Tom stroked the little girl's head and spoke. "You don't need to be afraid of anyone when you're with me, it's an insult to my power."

According to the little girl's wishes, Tom bought her a slice of pizza and a few more drinks and snacks. As they walked up to the cashier, the cashier, seeing the crying girl next to him, looked at them a little concerned. Instead of explaining the girl's situation, Tom just smiled and walked by.

When they went outside, Tom and the little girl began to eat slices of pizza together. "My name is Tom, what's yours?" he asked.

Slowly eating her slice of pizza, the little girl replied. "My name is Nora. Thank you, Tom, for helping me."
