I followed along to see how my freinds were planning to train for the finals.

Jiraya had confronted Naruto and had decided to train him for the month. Tenten also offered to help him out whenever she can .

Tsunade saw hinata's recoil reducing medical Jutsu for the first time in the preliminaries. She was so impressed, she offered to Train Hinata. She already has Shizune and Kurenai to take on her duties for the month

Sasuke will be trained by Guy Sensie. Guy Sensie had put him to a point where he, Lee and Hinata together could stall a sanin for a minute, even if it put Lee in the bed. Sasuke wasn't losing faith in guy, despite not buying into the youth philosophy.

Sino will be trained by Kakashi. Kakashi is one of the more versatile and powerful ninja in leaf. He wasn't about to leave his pupil hanging when he is about to face Gara. Shino's dad will also help him further his clan Jutsus.

Later on, i check in on my gennin kidnapping squad at anbu. Kesha Inuzuka and bu give me a list of every gennin they kidnapped.

I left then we to root indoctrination, offering to send all 4 of them to fire temple to establish monk-spies. They will have root's cursed seal to make sure they remain loyal. Bring monk will explain their higher than civilian strengths. Danzo already had an in with the fire temple, he can easily send them there.

That night, Anko suddenly came to my room in the terrace. I was already with Bella, but I still pulled anko in to explain my and Bella's relationship. Anko was heartbroken. She had come to give her virtue to me, for defeating orochimaru and saving her.

Bella laughs and leaps at anko , kissing her. She said that she's happy to share me. Bella always had an inferiority complex because of her missing legs. She decided that if I'm accepting her as a half women, that she needs to compensate.

First she brought Hinata into this. Then Hinata bright Tenten into this. Now, Bella is bringing Anko into it .

That night, Anko completely submitted to me, calling me Lord Yami that whole night. Bella took this opportunity to flex her influence, Ordering Anko around the whole night.

Anko has been particularly reverent regarding me the whole night. But as the night got along, her and Bella's chemestry seemed to shine.

Even next morning, they seemed to have formed a bond independent of me. Snakes seem to be crawling all over bella.

In the afternoon . I met up with hokage sama and talk to him about orochimaru . I tell him that from the autopsy of orochimaru's body and my own research, i can only conclude that orochimaru is an undead. The only solution to undead are sealing Jutsus or spiritual ninshu ( bhudhist temple).

I tell him that I killed one of his bodies. Orochimaru will go out of his way to target me in the future. I need to learn some anti undead technique's if the leaf has any.

Hokage sama nods in understanding.

He writes up a scroll and gives me a mission to deliver this scroll to the fire temple. While there, I can try to learn from the monks whatever I can.

He tells me that the leaf village does have some techniques, but even they orignate from fire temple, so I best go to the source.

I don't even greet my freinds goodbye, knowing orochimaru has spies in the village. I'm really scared he'll come after me after i destroyed his body.

Hopefully, This buys Sasuke a a few more years before orochimaru targets him again. After all, there is only so frequently that orochimaru can change bodies.

As I reach the fire temple, i offer the scroll to the temple's chief monk. The monk offered some wise advice and asked me to join the new initiates. 5 new initiates just joined yesterday, I'll fit right in with them.

I join the room for new initiates and greet them. All 5 of these are root members. 4 of them are gennin we kidnapped during chunin exam, the other is their handler, named Sai.

Sai explains to me that he is root gennin that specialises in seals. Danzo sama had ordered him to take charge of these 4 kidnapped gennin.

The 4 gennin have 2 curse seals. One is the toung curse seal that all root shinobi have. The other cursed seal is a prisoner seal that locks the targets chakra. This is to ensure compliance and give sai leverage over them.

This also helps mask thier chakra, strengthening their cover as random villagers from different villages in fire country. As they progress in ninshu and their loyalty, sai will slowly unlock more and more of their strength.

As I was in official mission rather than as initiate, i was able to get an accelerated course in spiritualism and ninshu. They won't teach me any forbidden Jutsus, but there are still religious ninshu practices that i can learn.

Meanwhile, the initiates join their seniors in day to day tasks. Every task here is meant for cultivation.

The initiates start their day with some stretches. Then they have to go fetch water from the famous demon well .

That well is called so because The well has a demon sealed in it. So every time a monk drinks and bath recently fetched water from that well, they are forced into a thirst Genjutsu by the demon's influence.

The more they drink or bath, the more thirsty they would feel.

The effect fades with time, so genjutsu from water fetched in morning will be much higher in morning than if it was dunk at afternoon. The monks have to face this trial every morning, forcing themselves to stop drinking , even when they are most thirsty, or risk water poisoning.

The monks then have to carry buckets of water back to the temple monastery. The initiates each have 2 buckets balancing on their shoulders as they walk back to the monastery.

More experienced monks are carrying many more buckets, with their chakra strings. The chakra strings look like arms coming out of their back. It kinda resembles the thousand hands Budha.

This is the signature style of Buddhist monks in this world. These arts are considered to have been passed down from the sage of 6 paths himself.

Fire temple has its own variation, but the basic concept of extra arms is the same throught other countries as well.

Then they return to their training. Like in many kungfu cliches, here training is disguised among chores.

Some are sent to the kitchen, where rolling dough with their bare hands could be considered training.

While some may consider these chores as normal chore, the constant repetition without rest causes them to condition their formarms heavily. The food is by-product of the training.

Some are sent to the farm where there are various chores. Some plough the field without tools ( bare hands and feet). Some harvest sugar cane/ bamboo/ banana by splitting it with a kick. The plant they kick depends on their level of mastery

Some pull their root and stalk without tools. Every part of pant is processed. The monestry is basically a giant factory with free labour. But the free labour has free food and shelter.

As different chores take different times, they get free at different times. This means that understaffed kitchen is always working overtime, serving breakfast till 7 in the evening, patrol monks come back for shift change. After that kitchen is closed .

It opens again to start serving by 7 in the morning to attend to shift changing patrol/scout/lookout monks again.

After eating, they have lectures on spiritualism with their mentors. Then they meditate and practice some ninshu techniques under a master. After that they go to sleep.

My shedule is defferent from initiates. I still go to the demon well, and bring back water with me, but after that, I go to the shrine keeper. The chief has assigned me to follow the shrine keeper to learn my techniques.

The shrine keepers duties are as follows. They clean up the whole shrine. They do some ritualistic daily prayers , lite the first incense and maintainane s purification seals(religious symbols). One of their duties that don't often come up is that they attend to dead bodies and funerals.

I spend my days here in quite of the monestry, doing shrine chores while i learn some funeral songs, Fuinjutsu and symbolisms from the shrine keeper.

Practicing ninshu and pretending to be a monk has been a good wind down from my regular Overdraw training. But I was starting to lose hope that anything I learn here would be useful.

While there was the Fuinjutsu: evil warding symbol (the one kakashi used on Sasuke curse mark in the orignal) that i learned here, but I doubt it has anywhere near enough power to ward off against orochimaru or Edo tensi. But atleast it is worth more study.

My first realisation came about one week after my stay at the monestry. One of the older saints had died. The funeral for a saint is very different from funeral for any other person.

The saint symbolises a life of sacrifice and service. That's what differentiates a saint from a monk. Anyone can become a monk by just calling themselves a monk. But saint is a title given by the people, for a great deed or life full of great deeds.

The saint that died was such a popular figure that Even the fire Damiyo came to the funeral . His entourage included Kanzo sama (Imperial Archeologist) and 6 of the 11 guardians. Surprisingly, Piku had been promoted to official Paige of Damiyo sama, gaining authority almost equal to the 11 guardians.

We all attend the grand funeral. First, there is a choir. Kin (former sound gennin) is also part of the choir. The song they are singing is called " Call of the pure lands" .

It is a few chants, followed by a Chorus. The chorus has no lyrics, but instead, it is a whispered hum that keeps on repeating on a loop.

When the chorus began the chief does some hand signs, and performs a tiny fire jutsu over the body of the dead saint. The fire lit on the body's naval. I can sense it a little bit, it's almost like he is using the saint's chakra network as a wick, and his body as wax to lite it up like a candle.

The fire is very slow to spread. The saint's body burns , slowly, but there is no smoke. Even as the fire keeps spreading, the shrinekeeper, my mentor here , does some handseals and activities the seals on the fire proof mat under the body.

There shrine keeper maintains a constant chaura flow to the mat, and we see the fire dim further. I can sense that the seal on the mat is absorbing the some of the fire from the body.

I close my eyes to try to focus chakra senses more on the fire. It seems the fire is mutating as it comes in contact with the sound of choir.

Not just the fire, I realise soon that the music is mutating the air . That mutated air, as it fules the mutated fire changes it further. This changed fire is what the mat is absorbing.

After the funeral, the Damiyo gives a speach about the dead saint. After that i greet Kanzo sama and Piku. I show them how far I've come with my Fuinjutsu, learning tips and tricks from them.

Next morning, after the guests depart, i approach the temple chief to all him about the funeral ritual.

He explains that it can only be performed on someone who died without regrets. That's usually either a Saint or Psychopath.

He explains that the song that was sung is called " call of the pure lands". It is supposed to be sung with very precise notes.

It's similar to handseals and Fuinjutsu seals in that it can influence chakra through your vocals.

That song is said to be heard just as clearly in the pure world as here, if sung correctly. So That's what the mutation was.

As the chorus comes along, the song replaces the air it travels through with pureland air.

Normally, the air would instantly loose it's mutation and become normal air after a second. But Fire temple chief used his chakra to maintain the mutation of air, forcing the mutated air into the funeral fire.

My mentor here, the shrinekeeper used his Fuinjutsu skills to trap that mutated funeral fire into a seal. The chief explains to me that this fire has perticular anti undead properties, due to its connection to pureland.
