I've been busy with security for chunin exams. I'm even part of the petrol squad that will monitor the forrest of death under the leadership of Anko.

I myself have 2 subordinates with me, one inuzuka chunin name Kesha, another, a chunin messenger ninja that grew up in my orphanage as my senior named bu. Bu was in the same year as Piku.

Officially they have the same rank as me. But they are members of root. I've specifically asked for them, because I want to kidnap some promising enemy gennin.

One of my subordinates is an amazonion inuzuka with a pocket sized adult dog. She is using her beast - human merging technique with her pocket dog to turn into a bear. Pretending to be different wild animals from time to time, she roams the forest as if it's her territory.

We follow her, letting her lead our patrol path. If we find a gennin or a squad that wants to give up, me and bu approach them and help them leave. If we find someone dying, we use Kesha Inuzuka to make an animal attack scene while bu kidnaps the gennin and sneaks them to root base.

While my reasoning to Danzo was simple. Officially the gennin would be dead, we can extract all information we can out of them their interrogation and even turn them into loyal root ninja. They are just gennin after all.

Personally, i did it to recruit a certain gennin i know would be in the exams. Karin Uzumaki.

After her team is dead, we will make it look like a bear ate her. Then we will inducte her into root, hopefully under me. Throughout the exam, i expect to collect a lot more than just her though.

As the exam progress further through the second phase, I'm letting my fellow root members do the kidnapping, while I follow team Guy around. I know orochimaru would be abound, looking to test Sasuke.

I stumbled on to Naruto's team on the way. His team consisted of shino and kiba. They were supposed to make a team of 3 and Sakura wasn't feeling confident about the exams.

I keep my distance professionally. I know they will make it. Shino is hacks. He has a bug on every participant in the exam. He has a mental minimal of the whole forest, with gps pings for every participant.

I follow their group because I know they are all trying to get to a similar place. Before chunin exam, I had advised all Konoha 9 gennin to try to get intel on strongest teams and share it among themselves.

This assessment from hinata's byakugan, shino's bugs and Shikamaru's assessment of their demeanor and gear led them all to the conclusion that sand team is by far the strongest gennin opponent team in the chunin exam.

After they realised they can team up in the second phase, they all realised they would ask converge towards the same team. Even if they don't confront that strongest team, they are likely to run into each other in the competition.

They decided it is better to corporate to get to next stage than infighting among leaf village. if they run into each other, they will join up to form bigger teams to hunt other teams.

I follow shino as I assume he is leading his team to meet up with other konoha teams. They are both way ahead of me, so i only see Naruto suddenly throwing a kunai with lightning chakra. He then converted that one kunai into 100 as they said to hit the ninja that was captured in sasuke's wires.

Naruto's target suddenly is destroyed, with the tree it was tied to. But from its remains, we don't see any blood or flesh, only mud. Clearly he substituted at the last moment.

Suddenly, that enemy ninja is behind Sasuke, grabbing Sasuke in a hold. Just as the oponent is going for a bite at sasuke's neck, i use substitution jutsu to replace Sasuke.

As I'm being pulled by my jutsu, I use another substitution jutsu, this time replacing my punching fist with a small shuriken . The force breaks my shoulder. But I'm able to use the substitution jutsu's chakra to activate the seals on my shuriken , activating wind style: butterfly effect jutsu.

Even orochimaru could only barely react by pulling back in time to save his face from getting sliced in half. He still lost his nose, looking like a white robed voldemort.

I can't belive he reacted to that . That was a substitution jutsu within a substitution jutsu, the speed and feedback from that attack was enough to dislocate my shoulder.

Naruto fills the field as shino attends to knocked down lee, while tired hinata transforms into a Naruto clone to mix in.

Hinata uses her genjutsu: communicate to explain the situation to me. They are watching the sand siblings fight a team from rain village. Hinata was using her byakugan while Sasuke and Lee were using binoculars to see them from afar.

They were suddenly ambushed by this line grass nin. Lee, Hinata and Sasuke teamed up against this grass nin in close quater combat. Sasuke and Hinata had set up a Genjutsu such that they could reach see from reach others eyes, increasing the effect of teamwork.

The grass nin was so strong that all 3 of them had to enter 3rd gate to just keep up. When they couldn't keep up, lee opened the 4th gate. Trying to keep up with the fight, even with lee on their side awakened sharingan in kakashi.

In the haze of fight, lee went for a finisher kick, but the oponent dodged. Hinata used this opening to strike at their opponent's hip, rupturing the chakra veins on his left hip and breaking that bone.

This enraged their opponent, who revealed themselves to be orochimaru. He summoned a giant sanke for lee to deal with ,while he focused on hinata and Sasuke.

Thats when suddenly we arrived to save the day.

I threaten orochimaru that reinforcement is comming. Unless he wants a reunion with his Sensie, he might want to start running. As I say that, i start charging up a fuma shuriken.

As I see orochimaru run underground, i follow him on air. I use my fuma shuriken as helicopter, as I keep on charging it.

It's hard to keep track of him when he is underground, so i fly higher up in the air instead , hoping to detect him wherever he emerges. I'll drive bomb him if he shows up again within the forrest of death.

I sensed orochimaru emerge. I let the fuma shuriken fall towards orochimaru as I surf on top of it. I notice that orochimaru is confronting Anko. Anko is on the ground, holding her cursed mark.

As I'm taking towards the pair, I throw a barbed glass(transparent) senbon at orochimaru's left hip, the one that was damaged by hinata. Once the senbon hits his hip, i jump off the fuma shuriken to push it away, towards orochimaru. As I jump of the charged fuma shuriken, i grab in to anko pull her away from orochimaru.

The shuriken I threw at orochimaru suddenly changed it's path. It suddenly avoided orochimaru, turned left and got the friend a few meters away.

When dust settles, orochimaru's body comes into view where my shuriken hit the ground. I had already hit him with a homing senbon. It was attached to shuriken with chakra string.

When orochimaru substituted with a mud clone, my fuma shuriken ignored the mud clone and still targeted the original instead, targeting it's left hip, where my hooked senbon had hit him earlier. He had been split in two, right where one usually wears there pants.

In front of our eyes, dead orochimaru's toung transformed into a pure white snake and leapt out of his body. The snake leapt under ground and ran away, beyond my sensory range.

I check on anko and drop her to the hospital. I then report to hokage sama about everything that happened. I first present to him orochimaru's nose, suprising him that i could do such damage to ninja of such calibre.

I then present the split body of orochimaru, making the Hokage stand up from his chair. I tell the Hokage sama that orochimaru somehow still escaped, likely by sending his consciousness into a snake that he created using his own toung.

Later on, I return to check on my Root operation to kidnap foreign gennin and indoctrinate them into root.

Apparently, they had already kidnapped 2 ninja from sound village, and 1 ninja from rain village. I keep patrolling around to find more victims. I find karin and another gennin from the grass village. I leave the indoctrination to root.

I go to see the preliminary matches they are holding to decide who will be in the finals. Total of 6 teams made it through, making it 18 participants. Team 7,9,10, team Neji, team rain and team sand.

Lee had just recently used 4th gate against orochimaru, he was in no shape to fight. Guy Sensie asked him to pull out his name from participation. One of neji's teammates also gave up due to injuries, making it even 16.

The matches are set as following

Naruto vs Kiba

Shikamaru vs Oboro (Rain ninja)

Temari vs Ino

Sasuke vs Kagari (Rain ninja)

Kankuro vs Choji

Shino vs Mubi (Rain ninja)

Gara vs Neji

Hinata vs Hime (neji's teammate)

1st match- kiba vs Naruto.

Kiba uses not only Akamaru, but also his magpie to transform into a bipedal griphon with further wings. Naruto Uses many clones with elemental taijutsu ( like bending in avatar) to overwhelm the field.

Naruto ends up outlasting kiba, but Naruto is heavily tired after it.

2nd match Shikamaru vs Oboro.

Shikamaru was faced with a shadowless opponent. It was clear for all to see that the rain trio had the same kit, stealth assassination and illusions. But Oboro was the strongest in his team. He was at peak chunnin strength already.

Shikamaru uses his fight to gain intel on these rain ninja, knowing he would losses in the end, but the intel might help other leaf ninja against Oboro's teammates. It was a poor match up.

3rd match Temari vs Ino.

Ino really tried her best. But Temari is at peak chunin strength and Ino has only been gennin for 6 months. There are some close calls , but in the end, without her teammates to cover for her weaknesses, she lost the brawl.

4th match Sasuke vs Kagari (rain).

Sasuke was already going into the match with much intel, because of Shikamaru vs Oboro. With much higher phisical strength and a sharingan to let him predict his opponent, it was easy.

5th Match kankuro vs choji.

Choji is able to take down all of kankuro's puppets. He even takes down his main puppet, thinking that he has won.

But suddenly, from the cloak of downed puppet, real kankuro leaps at choji and slices him with poisoned kunai. Kankuro won the match in the last second, being the underdog this whole match.

6th match Shino vs Mub (rain).

Shino's swarm is real. Mubi's clones are illusory. The setting and the arena just weren't meant for assassin types. Shino easily won.

7th match Gara vs Neji

It's a slaughter. Neji barely makes it out alive. He initially kept up well, even bringing out rotation defence to defend against gara's sand. His strikes were even able to bypass gara's sand armor, but only if he could get past the floating sand defence.

But that only enraged Gara, as it was the first time he felt pain. As a jinchuriki, he didn't mind the closing chakra points, since he has so much chakra, they open up automatically again.

The enraged Gara was about to kill neji, when Guy Sensie, Kakashi and Genma(Neji's sensei) interfered with a white flag.

Guy Sensie disrupted the sand attack with a punch. Kakashi put gara in a Sharingan Genjutsu.

Genma pulled neji our of the arena, into the infermary, using the white bed sheet of infermary bed to use substitution jutsu with. That white infermary bedsheet also acts as the white flag of surrender.

Gara was about to go apeshit crazy out of rage, but Kakashi's sharingan had him hypnotized.

Baki, Gara's jonin instructor came to the arena to whisper some things to gara, probably a threat that his daddy will scold him or something.

Maybe even a promise that gara will have his opportunity to kill in the future. Something seemed to calm gara down as they took him back to his seat.

Hinata vs Hime (neji's teammate)

Hinata easily beat the more experienced gennin. To be fair, hime is chunnin level in taijutsu and water ninjutsu. But Hinata is almost elite jonin level in taijutsu alone. She might not know many ninjutsu, but every ninjutsu she knows, she can perform without handseals.

Her substitution jutsu has reached a level where it requires so little chakra, it's basically a fast movement taijutsu move. She can even use the transformation jutsu without hand seals.

While she can use that to instantly mould her chakra into a weapon , she still prefers punching and slamimg with her hands. But it's still useful as instant source of kunai, enbon or shuriken.

She has mastered illusory clones and her byakugan to such a degree that she can use byakugan's Yin energy to create illusory clones. This allows her to see through these clone's byakugan eyes as if she were them.

Her medical technique's allow her to Mitigate most of the recoil that comes with being a Strong fist and Overdraw user. If hime wasn't a fellow leaf ninja, she could have even burned her from the inside with Balmburn jutsu.

Hime would have won against Iruka(already chunin), but lost against hinata. Cruel world.

After the finalist are congratulated, Finals are planned to take place a month from now. The first matches in finals are declared as following.
