Dancing Between The Hearts- Tylia and Theo

Chapter 6: Unwelcome Arrival

As the morning came, Sara knocked on the door. After no answers, she slowly pushed open the door and found out Tylia was ready in her school uniform.

"Ms. Tylia, breakfast is ready," Sara said.

Sara noticed Tylia was lost in her thoughts and appeared slightly pale, and she asked, "Ms. Tylia? Are you okay today? You look pale." Tylia nodded to indicate that she was okay.

She said, "I just didn't get enough sleep last night. Just a bit moment. I'll join breakfast."

Sara nodded and stepped back from Tylia's room.

Today was the second day before school break, and Valentine's Day was next week. Thinking about Chris, it had been a month since they contacted each other. The last time they met was New Year. After that, he never contacted her.

Tylia opened the drawer beside her bed and grabbed her phone. She took her time settling into a comfortable position on the bed, unlocked the screen and swiftly wrote a message and sent it to Chris.

Because of the dream last night, Tylia felt uneasy. She keeps thinking about the troubling matter, causing her stress and lack of sleep.

Oliver drove Tylia to school. Usually, Tylia chats a lot while on the way, but today, she was pretty lost in thought. However, a smile still lingered on her lips when Oliver attempted to converse with her. Arriving at school, Oliver opened the car door for Tylia.

"Thanks, Uncle," Tylia said with a smile as she walked towards the classroom. Oliver nodded and immediately went to the driver's door.

As he bent to sit in the car, he heard a commotion. A student ran and asked Oliver, "Are you Tylia's driver? She fainted. Please come with me!" Immediately, he ran and followed the student.

"Please step back. Give some space. She needs some air!" Mrs Gracia shouted at the crowd and quickly checked on Tylia's condition. They sent Tylia to the hospital right away after finding out that Tylia was having difficulty breathing and had suffered injuries during the fall as her head hit the floor.

Matthew had just settled into his office chair at the hospital after the morning meeting. Suddenly, his phone rang, and Oliver's name appeared on the screen. He immediately picked up as Oliver told him about Tylia's condition.

After he received news that Tylia had fainted at school and was on the way to the hospital, he immediately went to the emergency unit to wait for her child. Then, the news soon reached Jackson's Mansion.

Sara felt guilty because she noticed Tylia pale that morning, yet she took it lightly. That day, Tylia was admitted to the ward for further treatment.

The following day, her breathing stabilised, yet her blood pressure was relatively low. Tylia lay unconscious for two days. Her condition made everyone worried.

It continued until the third day when the teacher and her friends visited. After the visit, Lilian escorted them out of the room.

She felt grateful for their good deeds, visited Tylia, and prayed for her daughter's well-being. "I appreciate your visit."

Luna reminded Lilian to keep an update about Tylia. Sophie was silent and didn't utter a word. She was busy wiping her tears as Mrs Garcia patted her to calm her down.

"All right, I will," Lilian said with a smile. She was relieved that her daughter had a friend who greatly worried about her.

They had been exchanging conversations outside Tylia's wardroom for a while. The sound of shoes clicking along the corridor caught their attention.

They turned toward the man who had just arrived in unison. Dressed in a suit, Chris, at the age of twenty-two, looked handsome, and every step he took was confident.

Brian snorted and said, "How dare he bring that woman!" His voice was low enough. Yet, everyone near can still hear him.

"Brian, please." Mark stopped Brian from saying more, worried it would disturb Lilian's feelings.

Lilian glanced over and noticed Chris approaching them. However, there was a young lady followed behind him.

"Mrs. Jackson, it's time for us to leave," Mrs Garcia said as she took the lead toward the exit. From afar, before they passed each other, Chris nodded to greet them. Brian was about to shoot Chris his sharp glare, but Mark told him not to, which frustrated Brian.

"Auntie," Chris said as soon he drew near.

"Oh, Chris. I'm glad you came," Lilian responded.

"How is Tylia?" he asked. His tone sounded steady, mixed with worry.

"This is the third day since she has been unconscious. Come inside," Lilian invited Chris into the room.

Lilian felt uneasy because Chris brought that young woman as he visited his fiancée. Pretending to know nothing, she asked, "Who is this, Chris?"

Before Chris could answer, the woman interrupted, "Hi Auntie, I'm Cristina, Chris's..."

"… friend!" suddenly Chris cut her off. He was acting slightly weird, and Lilian could not guess why. Something popped up in her mind.

"All right, Cristina. I'm a bit hungry right now. Would you mind having lunch with me?" Lilian asked in a gentle tone.

"But I'm not hungry," Cristina rejected, which disappointed Lilian.

Still, with a smile, Lilian said, "Chris hasn't seen Tylia in a long time. Please give him a little space."

Cristina shook her head and turned toward Chris, seeking his help. Her childish behaviour sometimes gave Chris a headache.

Chris said, "Cristina, it's impolite to refuse someone's kindness. Besides, I want to be alone with Tylia. So, please excuse us for a while."

Cristina felt dejected by Chris's words. Lilian gently pulled Cristina's hand and exited the room. Cristina, who had to comply, pouted in dissatisfaction.

By the time Lilian and Cristina left, Chris took a seat beside the bed. Holding Tylia's hand. He gazed upon the person lying unconscious before him, guessing that Tylia had fallen ill affected by the rumour. So many thoughts rained through his mind.

"Tylia," Chris muttered.

There was a day he didn't know how he ended up waking up with Cristina next to him. He was completely unaware that a person had taken a photo of Cristina holding him close as he dozed off, which eventually leaked.

The media took advantage of Cristina's status as a rising star by adding flair to the photo. The gossip about him and Cristina spread while he was away, and when he returned from the mission, it was already too late.

He was sure that he did nothing to Cristina. They only end up together in the bed. So, he guessed there was nothing to be worried about. It was just a misunderstanding. Lost in thought, suddenly, he caught a soft murmur, "Chris."

Chris was surprised as Tylia stirred awake. He abruptly stood up. "I'll call the doctor," Chris said.

"Chris, don't go," Tylia said, holding his hand to prevent him from leaving. Chris hesitated for a moment. He should call the doctor as soon as she regained consciousness.

"Stay with me, please," his heart softened when Tylia pleaded. Adjusting the pillow for Tylia, Chris made sure she was comfortable. He then filled a glass with water and passed it to her. After a sip, she set it down.
