Daily World of Magic: An Elf’s Immortal Life

Chapter 21: Unhappy Conversation

The two bunny-girls from the Rabbit House squeezed into him, leading him deeper inside the casino.

Their bunny-suit showed off their attractive bodies with seductive motions and the black stockings on their thighs were particularly eye-catching. Their exposed breasts pressed against him from both sides and the bunny-girls continuously teased his senses with their alluring bodies, allowing their feminine fragrance to waft into him.

“We’re here to make sure that your completely satisfied with your experience in the Rabbit House.” Anna proudly displayed her breasts with a beautiful leaf tattoo and pulled him along.

“If you have any particular fetishes, please don’t feel embarrassed to inform us~” Tiva teasingly leaned into him and whispered in a secretive manner. “The Rabbit House is place to fulfill your desires~”

The bunny-girls led him through the casino to an isolated door in the corner of the room. A ‘staff only’ sign was positioned on the door with a winking erotic bunny-girl on it.

“Hold on, where exactly are you taking me?” Leon was resistant to entering this unknown area and refused to move.

“This is the bunny-girl’s locker and changing area~” Anna chuckled at his response.

“Rest assured, handsome customers like yourself are allowed inside~” Tiva said with a playful smile. “The showers inside can allow you to clean up~”

“Absolutely not, it’s completely unnecessary and inefficient.” Leon knew that he couldn’t agree to their demands and pulled backward. “It only takes a single magic spell to clean myself.”

“For a magician, maybe… but this is about the atmosphere of a female locker-room, not the efficiency of cleaning yourself~” Anna clarified with a hint of pride.

“Being taken care of by bunny-girls inside of a female’s locker-room…” Tiva pulled him forward toward the locker-room. “-Isn’t that quite a unique experience for you?”

“I refuse.” Leon knew that he had to keep a bottom-line, otherwise he might get trapped in the abyss of lust. “Also, I do not believe the rules that prevent guest from touching the bunny-girls allows you to prevent guests from leaving the premises.”

“That’s true, we cannot prevent guests from leaving…” Anna, the bunny-girl with a leaf tattoo sighed but gestured to his messy clothes that had traces from his earlier orgasm. “-But do you really want to walk through the lobby with your clothing in your current state?”

Leon fell silent as his eyes revealed a hint of hesitation.

“In the locker-room, we can easily clean your clothing and get you clean.” The bunny-girl pushed further and her fluffy ears twitched. “So would you prefer to enter our locker-room and enjoy yourself… or walk out by yourself in embarrassment?”

“… Fine.” Leon sighed and relented.

Walking around the lobby in his current state would be too embarrassing. On the way to the locker-room, the bunny-girls covered both sides of him and avoided the crowd to reduce the people that could see him. If he had to walk by himself toward the entrance with semen covering his shirt and pants, Leon might die of embarrassment.

At worst, Leon will be seduced by the bunny-girls inside the locker-room and have sex with them… but he felt that he could resist them.

“Don’t worry~” Tiva with her brown-hair pulled him into the door, “We won’t bother you, unless you request it.”

The locker-room was rather large in width, at least four meters, and countless lockers lined the walls. Some were open with keys in the locks, others tightly closed.

Private feminine articles of clothing were littered around on the benches and lockers.

A captivating bunny-girl was undressing in front of an open locker. A pile of clothing was lying on the floor around her.

This undressing bunny-girl had wavy pink hair with yellow highlights and a beautiful body with a fluffy pink rabbit tail. She hung her panties on the top of the locker and unclasp her bra, freeing her small breasts from their confines.

Meanwhile, the two bunny-girls pulled him further into the locker-room without giving him a chance to escape.

In her state of complete undress, the charming bunny-girl sat down on a bench with a pair of black stockings in her hands. Her mesmerizing thighs and enchanting buttocks caught his eyes as she pulled up the black stockings.

The captivating pink-haired bunny-girl’s eyes lit up, noticing his existence.

The bunny-girl playfully stretched her arms along the bench, accentuating the appearance of her breasts by moving her arms to fully display herself. Her thighs separated further to improve his view of her forbidden spring and shift his attention to her lower body.

Leon was embarrassed to be caught looking at her and averted his gaze.

“Don’t be so shy~” Tiva giggled and teasingly slammed her shoulder into him. “When a girl is exhibiting herself like a peacock to attract a mate! The least that you can do is observe her performance~”

“Yeah~” Anna poked him with a playful expression.

After being poked and prodded by the two bunny-girls, Leon returned his gaze to the charming bunny-girl on the bench.

Leon scanned over the body of the charming bunny-girl in front of him.

The charming bunny-girl perched herself on the side of the bench and twirled her pink hair. The bunny-girl had a charming temperament with a hint of laziness, and petite breasts with perky nipples and an hourglass figure that could easily mesmerize viewers.

Although Leon had seen a lot of beautiful women, there weren’t many with such a unique temperament that mixed seduction with a youthful demeanor.

“Don’t worry about it~” The bunny-girl on the bench waved her hand in dismissal and chirped. “If someone is not interested, there’s no point in forcing anything.”

“Leon is just shy, Helina.” Tiva retorted. “His interest is readily apparent if you take a good look~”

“Physiological reactions cannot be used as an indication of psychological intentions.” Leon rolled his eyes and ignored their nonsense. “Where are the showers to get cleaned up?”

“Many times, though, the body is more honest than the tongue~” Anna playfully stroked his inner thigh and traced the outline of his erection through his pants. The bunny-girl’s soft hands softly pumped his erection.

Leon shuttered from the sensation; a strong desire overflowed from his body.

The bunny-girl that was perched on the bench in the center of the locker-room burst into laughter.

“It’s truly a rare sight for a shy boy to dare to enter the Rabbit House~” Helina stood up and teasingly walked over, purposefully showcasing her charming body with each step. Her fluffy rabbit-ears flicking in response to her emotional changes. “Come on, shy boy, the showers are around the corner~”

Helina led him around the corner to a row of showers.

The showers were arranged in a line, a small fence blocked off the showers… but this fence was not large enough to provide privacy for those taking a shower.

“Let’s get you out of those clothes~” Helina stated without giving him any chance to react.

Anna and Tavi quickly ‘assisted’ in removing his shirt and jacket.

“Wait, I can do it myself.” Leon tried to resist, but the two bunny-girls acted with perfect coordination and tossed his clothing on the floor.

Meanwhile, Helina wearing only black stocking squatted down in front of Leon and removed his pants and underwear in a singular motion.

His erection and naked body were put on full display.

The lust crest was also brought into full view.

“It seems my coworkers are right~” Helina chuckled and tantalized him by rubbing along his erection with her petite breasts and hardened nipples. “You’re just a little introverted and shy~”

“This has nothing to do with shyness.” Leon clenched his teeth and tried to wiggle away from the bunny-girls. “I’m getting a shower, so leave me alone.”

“Alright… have a nice shower, shy boy!” Helina stood upright and released him. “Go ahead and take care of him, I have to prepare for work~”

“I’ll take care of your clothes…” Anna cheerfully picked up his clothes and wandered away with all of his clothing.

Leon didn’t care and began to wash himself in the shower to get clean.

In the corner of his eye, the bunny-girl Tavi was leaning over the small fence that blocked the showers and ogling him. Her snowy peaks were on full display with her subtle movements and the cherry tips teasing his sight.

Leon tried to ignore the bunny-girl’s eyes and focus on getting clean.

Fortunately, the showers had full amenities like soap and various lotions.

After taking a relaxing shower, Leon looked over at the bunny-girl that was playfully observing him with a suspicious expression.

Something’s wrong…

Very wrong…

Judging by his understanding of the bunny-girls from his short interaction with them, they are far more proactive and entertainment-seeking. There’s no way that they should let him peacefully take a shower.

“What are you plotting?” Leon narrowed his eyes and looked at the bunny-girl with suspicious eyes.

“Me?” Tavi was surprised and gestured to herself. “I’m not plotting anything~”

“Something’s wrong…” Leon muttered to himself and furrowed his brow, but didn’t publicly refute her. He simply stepped out of the shower and looked around for his clothes.

Only then did he remember that Anna mentioned he was taking his clothes.

“How long is it going to take for Anna to clean my clothes?” Leon asked and picked up a nearby clean towel from the rack.

“I couldn’t possibly know that information~” Tiva shrugged with a teasing smirk.

“…” Leon stared at the bunny-girl that was pretending to be dumb with analytical expression. “Does that mean I’m going to have to go naked in the meantime?”

“Nope~” Tavi directly refused and crossed her arms, lifting her exposed breasts from underneath. “-we have some towels that you can use until your clothes are thoroughly cleaned~”

“Sure enough…” Leon sighed and knew that he’d been too eager to escape from the grasp of the bunny-girls and they caught his weakness.

-But he really hadn’t expected them to play this trick of stealing his clothes.

The bunny-girls might be cleaning his clothes, but they certainly weren’t going to be returning them in a short period of time.

The other bunny-girl named Anna returned from behind the far corner.

“I’ve left your clothes to be washed with some of my own.” Anna stated, leaning toward him with her arms crossed under her exposed breasts.

“Do you have any other clothes that I could use in the meantime?” Leon sighed and tightened the towel around him.

“That….” Anna’s shook her head, before she looked at his necklace with slight confusion and told her fellow bunny-girl. “Tavi, get some clothes for our guests from the gift shop.”

“Ehh?” Tavi looked at Anna as if she was crazy.

“Just do it.” Anna stated with a tone of irrefutability.

“Tsk… fine.” Tavi reluctantly agreed and muttered something under her breath afterward that could not be made out.

“Thanks.” Leon breathed a sigh of relief and nodded in appreciation.

He briefly wondered why Anna didn’t use an artifact to clean his clothes, but realized it was normal.

These bunny-girls were ordinary people.

Washing machines powered by electricity were far cheaper than magical artifacts that can instantly clean clothing. The vast majority of ordinary civilians will never have access to complex spells like [cleaning], nor expensive artifacts that can replicate the spell’s effects.

This is not due to lack of trying to teach ordinary civilians, nor qualification requirements.

In fact, magicians have the lowest innate qualifications requirement of all extraordinary professions due to the introduction of the modern runes and spell models. Although the profession of magician is extensively taught in public schools… the profession of magician requires extremely strong understanding, supreme talent, or enough time to make up for the previous two deficiencies to advance beyond tier 1.

Schools teach the basics of magical knowledge and highly encourage people to become magicians, but it’s rare for ordinary civilians to actually produce high-level mages.

Ordinary people are not stupid.

If an ordinary person chooses to continue to study magic, unless they are a genius, they will likely remain a tier 1 magician their entire life. Rather than being a mediocre magician, isn’t it fragrant to swap to another extraordinary pathway with higher hope of advancing to tier 2 and try to extend their lifespan?

“Hello?” Anna waved her hands in his face, trying to get his attention and her body approached his own. “Anybody there? Did you hear me?”

“Uh- Sorry, I got lost in thought.” Leon shook his head to recover himself from his internal thoughts. “What did you say?”

“Here are the clothes that you requested.” Anna gestured to pajama-like outfit that was folded in her hands and handed them over. “I asked Tavi to prepare some snacks in a private room.”

“Ah?” Leon was a bit surprised and looked at the pajamas in his arms.

The clothing was indeed soft, well-designed pajamas that were intended for night usage.

Leon unfolded the pajamas.

The words ‘Rabbit House’ in small decorative letters with a fancy logo of a sleeping bunny nearby looked extremely familiar.

A bunny-girl image was animated into the fabric using some type of illusion magic, the decorative bunny-girl wore red dress with an intricate black skirt.

The bunny-girl on the fabric performed a short animation on loop.

The animation performed a short wink toward him after sensing his gaze, giving a cute bunny-like pose and twirled around on the spot in excitement… directly flashing her bare buttocks with a cute bunny-tail with the quick motion. Afterward, the animated bunny-girl bent forward, displaying her vagina in a proud fashion before twirling back to the original pose.

Leon supposed this kind of thing should be expected of a lewd casino, but didn't expect them to dare to put such a daring imagery on a piece of pajamas.

“I have to ask, have you really never been to Rabbit House before?” Anna abruptly asked, looking at him strangely.

“No…?” Leon felt the question was quite odd, “Do I look like someone that comes here…?”

“Your necklace?” Anna gestured to the necklace of a sleeping bunny wrapped around his neck with a strange expression. “…Where precisely did you get it?”

“Huh…” Leon touched the metal necklace with the decorative pattern of a sleeping bunny that Dr. Levi gave him to suppress his charm. “This… I got this from a good friend of mine.”

“A friend?” Anna’s expression was slightly weird and gestured to the pajamas. “It’s a special symbol in rabbit house… specifically, a logo that was taken in protest after a disaster.”

A careful examination of the sleeping rabbit logo on the pajamas revealed that it was an exact match.

The sleeping bunny logo was indeed identical to the one designed on his necklace.

Leon glanced at the sleeping rabbit logo and then his necklace… then back to the pajamas.

“You’re right?” Leon was momentarily dumbfounded, then burst into laughter. “Hahaha….”

That bad rabbit! Dr. Levi created his charm suppression amulet in the logo of an erotic bunny-girl casino. Tsk, tsk…

“Sorry, it should be an old joke from my friend.” Leon wiped away a tear that appeared at the corner of his eye and shook his head. “…I haven’t been here before.”

“Do you mind if I take a look, anyway?” Anna’s tone was extremely polite, but seemed like she had no intention of giving up until she had a closer look.

“Go ahead.” Leon shrugged and raised the necklace toward her, although he didn’t remove it from his neck.

“Thanks…” Anna carefully picked up the necklace and examined it.

The bunny-girl’s beautiful body leaned toward him; her bare breasts were almost touching him. Anna’s gentle fragrance tickled his nose and her fluffy rabbit-ears flicked in front of his eyes as she concentrated on the necklace.

“So, this is the authentic version…” Anna muttered, various emotions quickly flashed like whiplash through her eyes.

Fear, sadness, and anxiety.

“What is it?” Leon had functioning eyes and could see that her attitude had changed dramatically.

“Ahem, you should get dressed first.” Anna jolted to her senses and turned around, walking away. “I’ll wait around the corner.”

“…” Leon’s eyes went wide in disbelief as he looked at the backside of Anna, he silently gulped and secretly felt extremely frightened.

Is the situation so serious? Such a playful bunny-girl that had been sexually assaulting him this entire time would actually turn around and give him privacy as he got changed?

The effectiveness of the twin succubus’ blessing had become truly apparent to him in the previous period of time. It was already a blessing if Anna didn’t physically harass him as he got dressed, not to mention leaving him alone.

Therefore, the bunny-girl’s seriousness did not provide any relief to Leon… but severely frightened him.

Leon felt scared for the first time since entering the Rabbit House.

Truly scared.

Although the seduction of the bunny-girls caused him distress, Leon had been mentally prepared before entering the Rabbit House… It can only be said that people are extremely adaptive creatures. His psychological resistance to sexual activity had long been improved through the various experiences that he had gone through.

Whatever had caused Anna’s attitude to change so dramatically, though? It caused Leon to feel truly scared.

Leon’s instincts had always been extremely accurate... and he had a feeling that something terrible would happen if he stuck around.

Escape was cowardly, but useful.

… Silently repeating his motto in his heart.

In an instant, Leon’s heart had completely transformed into a single thought.

Leave this place.

Screw embarrassment! It’s just walking through the lobby in pajamas.

Who cares about the consequences? Anyway, Leon can teleport away back to the Elven villa after stepping out the door of the Rabbit House.

They’re short-lived races, anyway.

Any embarrassing situation will be forgotten after a couple of decades of hiding in the Elven Forest. Leon silently put on the pajamas that he had been given and prepared to walk out of the locker-room, planning to run away.

“Young master, Leon?” Anna immediately stopped him, grasping onto his arm before he could walk anywhere. “Where are you going?”

“Ahem, I’ve suddenly remembered something urgent.” Leon awkwardly swallowed and tried to pull away from the bunny-girl. “I’ll pick up my clothes later.”

Anna tightened her grip on her arm and silently looked at him.

The bunny-girl’s expression seemed to be saying, ‘Do you expect me to believe your nonsense?’

“I really have something to do.” Leon retorted, trying to signal that she should let go of him.

“If you insist on leaving, I will not stop you…” Anna looked at him with slightly complicated eyes, but did not give him any chance to make excuses. “-but I swear to the gods; someone will eventually come talk with you about this matter.”

Hearing Anna’s serious oath, Leon’s heart completely sunk.

The seriousness in the bunny-girl’s eyes and tone told him, even if he left… this conversation will eventually find him. Leon had a feeling that even if he did something drastic, such as returning to the Elven Forest again… it was still impossible to escape this upcoming conversation.

“I’m actually quite happy to remain ignorant and not have any conversations.” Leon tried to smile politely, but his smile was extremely ugly. “Can you tell everyone to leave me alone?”

He could make an estimated guess about the true nature of this conversation from some simple context clues.

It should be nothing more than some information about Dr. Levi’s death.

-But he was quite happy to remain ignorant about this matter.

Anyway, as long as it wasn’t confirmed by somebody, these thoughts would only remain as inferences in his head.

“…” Anna looked at him with sadness and silently shook her head.

“…Can’t you just let me be ignorant and happy?” Leon felt his heart sink and suddenly felt a thousand years older in an instant.

“Please, at least, have a quick conversation with Ms. Katrena on this matter.” Anna looked at him with pleading eyes.

“Fine… Let’s go have your stupid conversation.” Leon wanted to curse at the bunny-girl but knew she had no malice and could only grumble in annoyance. “I hate conversations.”

Leon was no longer in the mood to remain in this place a second longer than necessary.

“I’m sorry, thank you.” Anna relaxed and loosened her grip on him.

“Let’s go.” Leon’s mood was completely ruined and followed her.

The bunny-girl brought him to a separate private room.

The room had various gambling instruments and a wooden table on the far side of the room.

Various piles of delicious foodstuff were piled on a long table to choose from, but Leon was not in the mood.

“Let’s get this over with.” Leon snorted and sat down on a chair by the wooden table.

“Please give us a couple of minutes.” Anna tidied up her bunny-suit, straightening it to cover her nipples and explained. “Ms. Katrena will be here in a few minutes.”

“Tsk, whatever.” Leon clicked his tongue and looked up to observe the interesting patterns on the ceiling of the room.

Anna served ice-cold water and scuttled around the room making herself busy with various tasks.

Two bunny-girls entered the room approximately two minutes later.

An older bunny-girl, about 40 years old, wearing a black suit with a briefcase and with the temperament of a lawyer.

Along with a young bunny-girl with white hair that wore a casual blue dress with various fanciful decorations.

“Leonardo Field?” The older bunny-girl in a suit asked.

“Who are you two?” Leon’s eyes twitched upon hearing his full name, it made him feel weird. Nobody called him by his full name.

“This is Ms. Katrena, and I am her lawyer.” The older bunny-girl introduced herself.

“Ms. Lawyer? What a strange name.” Leon raised an eyebrow in a joking fashion, “So what’s going on Ms. Lawyer… do I need to hire my own attorney before having this conversation?”

“I typically always recommend hiring a lawyer when dealing with legal documents, but our meeting should not require it.” Ms. Lawyer apparently was not in the mood to joke around. “Before we continue… Do you have any proof of identity, Mr. Leonardo Field?”

“No.” Leon refused, hoping they might give up and save him from this dreadful conversation.

Ms. Lawyer was apparently not expecting that response and looked at the other bunny-girls in the room with a sense of helplessness.

“Ahem… actually, I have his identification badge.” Anna handed over his identification from his wallet and showed it to the lawyer.

“Huh?” Leon looked at his wallet in the bunny-girl’s hands and was dumbfounded. He instinctively reached into his pocket to search for the wallet and finally remembered that he was wearing the pajamas that Anna brought him.

… Right, his clothing had been taken by Anna to be washed. It made sense that Anna would remove his wallet before putting the clothing in the washing machine. Leon realized that he should store his identification badge in the dimension pocket to prevent similar issues in the future.

“Give me that!” Leon suddenly jumped up and grabbed back the identification badge along with his wallet.

“Mr. Leonardo…” Ms. Lawyer stroked her forehead due to a headache about his behavior, but she had already verified the authenticity of the badge. “… I appreciate your cooperation.”

“What exactly do you want to talk about?” Leon snorted and put away the wallet.

“I will try to make this brief.” Ms. Lawyer removed a document from her suitcase. “As one of the beneficiaries of the last will and testament of Dr. Levi Kella, we must go through the inheritance process as soon as possible.”

As the last shred of hope was crushed for the reason behind her lack of contact, his face immediately turned gloomy.

Leonardo could only silently roar in his heart toward Dr. Levi.

‘You, fraudulent bunny-girl!’

‘Why are you doing unnecessary things like donating your property to me upon death?’

‘We only met a few times…’

‘Do you think we’re friends or something?!’

‘Why not donate your property to some orphans or something?’

‘Do you think I look poor enough that some fraudulent doctor needs to donate their dying property to me?!’ Leon brooded in his heart.

“I don’t want it; I waive all rights to the property.” Leon snorted in anger, hiding the bitterness in his heart and stood up, “Go donate it to some orphans… or her family. I don’t know, it’s none of my business.”

Leon immediately refused.

“What?” Anna looked at him with confusion and interrupted. “Leon, you cannot-”

“Please let me handle this, Ms. Anna.” Ms. Lawyer gently interrupted the bunny-girl that brought him to this place. “…You have no legal rights to waive the property that Dr. Levi Kella prepared.”

“The hell?” Leon blinked, looking down toward the lawyer in confusion. “I’ve never heard that it requires legal rights to waive an inheritance.”

Leon was entirely confused by Ms. Lawyer’s response.

He had thought that the bunny-girls were bothering him because they were jealous of the property that had been given to him.

Isn’t this the best situation for everyone? Leon doesn’t have to deal with Levi’s death, and they get her property? Otherwise, why would Anna swear to the gods that someone will eventually come to him over this matter?

“Children, nor their guardians, do not have any legal right to waive inheritances that have been given to them.” Ms. Lawyer repeated, “This is clearly stated in article 2416, section-”

“-I’m 367 years old…” Leon interrupted her legal nonsense with a deadpan expression. “Do I look like a child?”

“From the perspective of the law, you are legally a child.” Ms. Lawyer didn’t bat an eye at his statement. “Regardless of age, since the government has made a judgement, you are not considered an adult until you meet the legal requirements for adulthood…”

“Screw that! There are special provisions in the law that allow elves above 200 years old to have certain rights as adults.” Leon was annoyed and crossed his arms. “It’s definitely within my legal authority to waive inheritance rights.”

“The specifics of those legal provisions are up to debate as there has not been any precedent in courts.” Ms. Lawyer stated without losing any ground, “Furthermore, there are no mentions in those provisions to the topic of inheritance.”

“I don’t like you.” Leon’s eyes turned cold and stared directly at the middle-aged bunny-girl Lawyer. His tone was without any of the politeness that he usually exhibits when talking to strangers.

“That is to be expected, most children disliked me.” Ms. Lawyer retorted without batting an eye and gestured to the seat.

“….” Leon’s lips briefly curled upward from her playful retort but remained quite annoyed at her.

“Now, please!” Ms. Lawyer’s tone was similar to disciplining a child, “Sit down!”

Leon breathed out through his nose and shook his head, before returning to his seat. “…Do you mind if I ask a question?”

“Please.” Ms. Lawyer gestured.

“Why are we even bothering to have this conversation?” Leon looked at Ms. Lawyer, then the other bunny-girls in the room and gestured around the room. “Like, the actual reason! If I wanted the inheritance, I could understand… but I just want to be left alone.”

The bunny-girls in the room looked at him with complex eyes.

“In other words, Leon… you are completely unaware of the situation in the rabbit tribe?” Anna spoke in surprise and fell into stunned silence.

“What situation?” Leon looked at her with a strange expression.

“… I’m afraid the situation is slightly more complicated than you realize, Ms. Leonardo.” Katrena, the young bunny-girl in a blue dress, spoke for the first time.

“The hell? Do you think I’m an idiot?” Leon burst into laughter with an undertone of fiery rage. “How complicated can it be to refuse to accept an inheritance?”

“How much do you know about Dr. Levi Kella’s death?” Katrena sighed and shook her head,

“…” Leon’s voice cracked slightly. “-Do you think I’d want to know about the details about her death? Do the details matter?”

The bunny-girls in the room fell silent.

Apparently, none of them had been expecting such a response… Or, maybe, the obvious sadness and cracking of his voice had caused them to fall silent.

Leon couldn’t tell the difference at the moment and didn’t bother to care.

He was completely finished with this conversation.

“I’m leaving.” Leon stood up, averting his gaze. “I will inform my lawyers over this matter. I don’t want anything from her.”

“Please wait.” Katrena stood up to stop him and stopped him. “I know this isn’t exactly a comfortable subject for you, but Dr. Levi’s inheritance is indeed extremely important matter for the rabbit tribe.”

“How important could it possibly be?” Leon clenched his fist and glared at the white-haired bunny-girl in a blue dress that prevented him from leaving. “What? Do you think this is a matter of life and death? It’s just her property!”

“If the news of waiving the inheritance rights is spread and is not handled properly, it could result in civil unrest amongst the rabbit tribe.” Katrena’s voice was slightly painful.

“Are you kidding me?” Leon was speechless with this level of moral kidnapping. “Do you treat me as an idiot? How could it possibly result in civil unrest?”

“As I said, the situation is extremely complicated.” Katrena gestured with her hands. “Please give us the opportunity to explain.”

“…” Leon pursed his lips.

Leon calmed down and looked at the bunny-girls in the room with serious expressions.

At least, Katrena didn’t seem to be joking.

If Katrena was telling the truth, Leon wouldn’t be able to forgive himself on the matter.

“You have my attention.” Leon sat down and stared at the white-haired bunny-girl with crossed arms. “…Pray that you are not lying to me.”

Katrena breathed a sigh of relief and asked again. “What do you know about Dr. Levi’s death?”

“Nothing… but judging by her approximate age, I can infer that she should’ve died from old age.” Leon snorted and shook his head, “I usually prefer to live my life in ignorance, rather than confirming the truth behind sad circumstances… So I’ve avoided looking up information about her fate.”

“At the time of her death, Dr. Levi was a tier 2 mage and on the verge of breaking through to tier 3.” Anna, the bunny-girl that brought him to this room shook her head from the side. “She was a supreme genius in understanding the laws of life and protection.”

“What? When did Dr. Levi breakthrough tier 2, why didn’t she mention it?” Leon stood up and his hands slammed onto the table; his sadness was washed away by shock.

A tier 2 mage can extend their own lifespan using their understanding of the laws of the world.

Dr. Levi breaking through to a tier 2 mage was unexpected and a completely welcome surprise.

…to the extent that he had momentarily forgot that this meeting was about Dr. Levi’s death.

“Records do not indicate the precise time.” Katrena shook her head indicating that she didn’t know. “-but it was at least 20 years before her death.”

“No! How could she die?” Leon quickly reacted. “A tier 2 mage can live at least 500 years! Plus, a mage at tier two can easily learn advanced teleportation techniques… Moreover, Anna just said that she majored in the laws of life and protection. It’s estimated that she could survive a tier 4’s assassination with all those advantages! How could Levi be in any danger!”

Before the bunny-girls could answer his question, Leon’s mind quickly concentrated and several inferences quickly came to mind.

“The war with the Darklands?” Leon arrived at a possibility as his thoughts turned and his eyes widened. “No, what specifically happened? Levi is a doctor. She would’ve been heavily protected during a war!”

“Dr. Levi was treating an unknown viral outbreak in her hometown along the border.” Katrena sighed. “-But the Darklands had prepared a major invasion. The alliance’s command structure was completely caught off-guard by the sudden outbreak of war. The situation was entirely chaotic.”

“Five demons that had reached tier 3 silently invaded Dr. Levi’s hometown in a surprise attack.”

“The person defending the city was completely negligent and was killed in a sneak attack… Under normal circumstances, it would only take a few minutes for the entire city to be slaughtered.”

“As the only tier 3 individual that could stall for time had been killed, the city was declared dead by someone in the command center.”

“As a result, despite the dire situation, reinforcements prioritized rescuing other cities that were under attack… Records indicate that the city continuously released a distress signal every hour for 3 days. Various available reinforcements discovered the distress signal, but the government had marked the city as killed and people decided that the distress signals were a trap.”

“Dr. Levi died after defending the city from five demons for 76 hours, 53 minutes, and 23 seconds.”

“You mean to tell me that Dr. Levi defended the city for three days.” Leon clenched his fist in anger. “For three whole days, she singlehandedly defended an entire city against five demons that are far stronger than her! Yet, reinforcements didn’t arrive until her death.”

“Reinforcements never arrived.” Katrena’s voice croaked and became a whisper. “… The city was slaughtered shortly after her death.”

“Haha! Good!” Leon burst into laughter that was mixed with strong anger, his nails dug into his palm. “Just, so good... In other words, Dr. Levi’s death was completely worthless. She died for nothing!”

“Sorry…” Katrena lowered her head to the ground and apologized.

“Thanks for completely ruining my peace of mind. I appreciate it.” Leon was even more unhappy than simply learning about her death and stood up to leave. “If that’s all you wanted from me, I’ll be leaving.”

“Please accept the inheritance that Dr. Levi left for you.” Katrena lowered her head.

“Does Dr. Levi’s inheritance seriously matter at this point!? It’s already been 70 years!” Leon clenched his fist and suppressed the urge to beat up the bunny-girl in front of him. “It has probably long been divided up by interested people, just give the remnants to her closest relative!”

“… If that was possible, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.” Katrena clenched her fists.

“Dr. Levi’s last will and testament had a very short list of people. You are the only individual with inheritance rights that remains alive.” Anna added from the side. “Although Dr. Levi only intended for you to inherit some of her research notes…”

“-But everyone else died in that city due to someone’s incompetence, right.” Leon laughed bitterly; his nails painfully dug into his palms. “You idiots cannot even find anyone else to give her inheritance to? So, you give it to a stranger that barely knew her?”

The bunny-girls remained silent.

“Let me guess?” Leon looked at the bunny-girls with disdain. “If I give up the inheritance, the government cannot even find a legal inheritor for a hero that died to their own incompetence.”

Ms. Lawyer’s expression didn’t change in the slightest.

… but Anna silently lowered her head and bit her lip.

“No, it’s worse than that… isn’t it?” Leon thought further.

“Judging by the level of detail that you provided, Dr. Levi’s demise and story have completely become public knowledge.”

“The rabbit clan and other beast-kin tribes likely have serious questions about the government’s credibility and ability to protect them.”

“The government desperately needed to find an inheritor for Dr. Levi’s property to satisfy the public and assure that they are doing their best to make amends for their mistake.” Leon looked at the bunny-girls and understood something. “So, they were forced to publicly announce the last will and testament of Dr. Levi.”

“Although my claim to Dr. Levi’s property is extremely weak, I’m the only legitimate candidate that remains in her last will and testament.” Leon clenched his fist in understanding. “-But it’s been too long! Furthermore, I’ve been in the Elven Forest. Nobody could easily contact me.”

“Public opinion slowly died down, but they must’ve had someone manage Dr. Levi’s property in this city for the past 70 years! So, if I refuse the inheritance, the public will inevitably think that corruption was involved… regardless of the facts.” Leon laughed and looked between the rabbit-girls. “If I’m not mistaken, this should be the current situation?”

Leon didn’t give the bunny-girls any chance to response, various logical connections were filled in by the new information and the truth.

“Of course, you have nothing to do with the government.” Leon looked over the bunny-girls and shook his head. “You don’t have the temperament of governmental employees, nor enough guilt and apology over the event. Nor did you release any confidential information to build trust.”

Leon snorted and looked at the bunny-girls. “So, who exactly are you?”

“This is an irrelevant conversation, Mr. Leonardo…” Ms. Lawyer pointed to the document. “The information is all available in the inheritance documents.”

“It’s not irrelevant, Ms. Lawyer.” Leon shook his head and sneered. “Since you want to play political games with me and refuse to let me disinherit Ms. Levi’s property, you must have a strong interest in specifically letting me inherit her properties.”

“If I’m not mistaken, Ms. Katrena, you should be the official manager of this establishment… Right?” Leon asked a seemingly unrelated question.

“…” Ms. Katrena remained silently and looked toward her lawyer.

“Ms. Katrena is indeed the temporary manager of Rabbit House.” Ms. Lawyer agreed with his statement, “-but this is irrelevant to the situation at hand.”

“Judging by the atmosphere that I noticed during my brief visit, the ‘Rabbit House’ is not focused on making a profit and more focused on serving the rabbit-clan.” Leon absentmindedly spoke his thoughts. “-The current foundation of the ‘Rabbit House’ appears to be designed to provide jobs for rabbit-girls and a location for the rabbit-clan to socialize, even the rules are designed to let the employees seduce any men that they are interested in…”

Leon’s emotional intelligence was actually quite high, he could typically see the essence behind the phenomenon. He was not unable to understand the current situation of the Rabbit House but simply unwilling to care.

“I saw a few men that were gambling, but your employees weren’t paying that much attention to them.” Leon monetarily remembered this oddity in the gambling hall. “Furthermore, there are policies that men can receive free funds for gambling if they are willing to spend a certain period of time gambling in the casino.”

“I was indeed curious about why such a strange situation occurred.” Leon looked at the rabbit-girl Anna that had seduced him and stolen his clothing. “It’s like this place is extremely dedicated to serving the bunny-girl employees, rather than making a profit from their patrons.”

“Either the owner of ‘Rabbit House’ is extremely rich and simply treats this place as a place of charity… or the current management of the Rabbit House has no rights to the profits, so money is charitably spent on satisfying the employees.” Leon tilted his head, “How about it, Katrena? Do you mind telling me the answer?”

“Do not answer that question.” Ms. Lawyer immediately spoke to prevent Katrena from speaking.

Ms. Lawyer’s immediate response was enough to confirm his theory.

“Tsk, tsk.” Leon crossed his arms, a smirk came to his lips, “Why so touchy? It’s just a casual inquiry…?”

“If you suspect that the funds of the Rabbit House have been misappropriated, you are free to report to the guards.” Ms. Lawyer answered with an indifferent tone. “However, there must be solid grounds for a case of mismanagement in any court of law.”

Katrena remained silent with her head down.

Meanwhile, Anna on the side had a slightly guilty expression and averted her gaze. Her attractive, curvy buttocks and fluffy tail were shown through her subtle shuffling movements.

“Are you that confident in withstanding a comprehensive investigation?” Leon looked at the lawyer and bunny-girl in a blue dress, before shrugging. “Well, let’s be honest, the situation has nothing to do with me. I’m not the owner of this place… nor do I have any plans of getting involved.”

“Ms. Leonardo, it appears that before today, you were completely ignorant of the properties that were waiting for your inheritance…” Ms. Lawyer frowned; she picked up several documents and pushed the relevant documents across the table. “-but Rabbit House is naturally one of the properties that was transformed from Dr. Levi’s assets, and you do have limited ownership rights that will be fully distributed upon adulthood.”

“Tsk… Tsk…” Leon looked at the document and smile. “Interesting, is this why you are so insistent in your claim that I am a child? So that you can retain management authority until I’ve been officially declared as an adult?”

“This is not a claim, you are not an adult. Everything is in accordance with the laws of the alliance.” Ms. Lawyer frowned and her fluffy bunny-ears twitched. “Your nature as a child is indisputable whether it is for criminal or civil disputes. As a child, you cannot be held criminally responsible for your actions under the eyes of the law and naturally you cannot legally obtain control of property until adulthood.”

“Quite the interesting and convenient prospective.” Leon’s lips curled into a smile, but his eyes were ice cold.

Leon had seen enough of this nonsense in his previous life.

The little tricks of these young bunny-girls were naturally expected by him.

Life was a battlefield.

It can be seen from the happiness of the bunny-girl employees in the casino, they were actually treated quite well and enjoyed their jobs. At least, these bunny-girls in management positions were actually good people… but political rights were something that if they weren’t fought to obtain, other people would definitely take them.

Katrena and Ms. Lawyer had no clue how Leon would treat the bunny-girls after taking over the Rabbit House.

Instead of praying for a better result, it was better to fight for their own future.

The best option was to completely exclude him from power. Although they cannot completely exclude him due to his inheritance rights, they could delay until he was an adult. This point alone could be used to delay for several hundred years, at which point they would be long dead.

To be honest, Leon didn’t care about the Rabbit House in the slightest and naturally didn’t care about the political maneuvering that Ms. Lawyer was doing. Leon wasn’t interested in a battle for political rights and management with these young bunny-girls.

-But… Katrena shouldn’t have told him about the final result of Dr. Levi.

There was an icy, cold fire of simmering fury that had begun to burn in his heart.

Leon had very few friends.

Dr. Levi was naturally one of them and remained in contact with him for a long period of time, despite having no benefit after he escaped into the Elven Forest. Although Dr. Levi may have been greedy for his body… but that didn’t change the fact that she was considered a friend by him.

Although Leon was extremely angry, he would never blame others for his own failures.

He was only angry with himself.

To be blunt… where was Leon when Dr. Levi was helpless and fighting to defend the city? He was inside the safety of the Elven Forest, completely ignorant of the affairs of the outside world. Leon didn’t even know that she died unjustly.

So… what right did he have to criticize others for failing to save Dr. Levi and her hometown?

At least, other people were fighting against the Darklands and defending the alliance. Leon couldn’t sit at home and criticize those that defended the alliance from the moral high ground when he did absolutely nothing.

Others might say that Leon was too weak to get involved at the time and he didn’t know it was happening, but does that matter?

Look at the few men that are left in this city and you can know the harshness of the war.

Blaming anyone else is simply an excuse.

Even ordinary people were forced to be involved in the war and Leon did nothing to help.

End of story.

If you are weak and cannot take any actions to change situation, what right do you have to criticize others from a moral high ground? Instead of blaming the demons that killed her and slaughtered the city, do you want to criticize the tier 3 individuals that failed to save people?

-Or put all the blame on the person that made a mistake in judgement during a chaotic war and decided to prioritize saving other citizens that might actually have a chance to be saved?

It was a bloody war! People were dying all the time.

Yes, in hindsight, this behavior caused the unnecessary death of an entire city…

-But… Who could have imagined that a tier 2 individual could defend the city against so many demons at tier 3 for such a long period of time?

Anyone who has tried should know, defending something is always harder than destroying it. Yet, Dr. Levi managed to defend the city for three days whilst fighting against multiple demons at tier 3 at the same time.

To be blunt, such a feat is a miracle that left Leon completely dazed and wondering whether it was fabricated.

Leon had never even heard of such a brilliant combat record in history.

If such a combat record was true, the statement that Dr. Levi was a supreme genius was a drastic understatement. With such a combat record, If Dr. Levi had survived, there was a small possibility that she would eventually reach tier 6 and become a god.

Had Dr. Levi survived that demon’s attack, there was a strong possibility that even the alliance would want to destroy her before she grew up.

Such a person is a ticking time bomb. If she was given enough time, Dr. Levi might be able to completely overthrow the alliance with her talent… At minimum, such a genius could easily bring the rabbit-clan to new heights and bring them to the center of the political power of the alliance.

No matter how tolerant the alliance is of talents, it was unlikely the current powers that control the alliance would be willing to accept that outcome.

Wars and battles are fought over interests.

Considering elves were one of the core races that controls the alliance…

To be blunt, Leon wasn’t sure whether elves would try to assassinate Dr. Levi after learning the true situation. Leon had no such illusions about the kindness of his fellow elves, especially the elders of the council that have lived for hundreds of thousands of years.

Any race that wants to survive and thrive will naturally have countless evil deeds hidden in the dark.

The only result of exposing such powerful talents is endless covert assassinations and dark arrows.

When her level of talent was exposed to the public, Dr. Levi had to die. It's likely that Dr. Levi would have been assassinated by a powerhouse with no chance of survival…

Would Dr. Levi know this information and fake her death in some manner?

Leon fell into deep contemplation as he considered this matter.

With doubts in his mind, Leon could escape the reality of the situation and pretend that Dr. Levi was alive. This was the benefit of Leon’s mentality of escapism. Leon could think of ways to deny the truth even in the face of irrefutable facts.

In fact, Leon knew it was basically impossible to fool the alliance with a fake death.

The alliance would definitely send people to confirm.

When someone reached tier 4, they were powerhouses that could attack people along the line of cause-and-effect. It could be stated, unless you don’t have any strong relationships and have lived your life as a hermit, it was extremely easy for a tier 4 to assassinate anyone that has failed to reach tier 4.

-But it was easier to deny her death than accept the truth.

This was a completely believable reason as to why Dr. Levi would cut-off contact with him. It could prevent tier 4 individuals from utilizing his causal relationship with her to attack.

Furthermore, after the complete slaughter of her hometown, it was not so easy to find a reliable line of cause-and-effect to attack Dr. Levi. If everyone related to her was truly slaughtered, a prospective assassin could only try to forcefully increase the cause-and-effect relationship between her and some of her friends.

Leon suddenly looked back at the bunny-girls in front of him with a chill running down his spine and forcefully controlled his expression...

Under the assumption that Dr. Levi remains alive, the true nature of passing the inheritance of Dr. Levi onto him has become extremely strange.

After all, inheriting such a large amount of the property from someone is naturally a strong causal relationship… but this has the premise of knowing the inheritor during their lifetime intending to pass something onto them.

Naturally, the more of the estate that is inherited by someone, the stronger the causal relationship.

A causal relationship at the level of research notes is naturally not enough to launch a causal attack… but hundreds of millions of dollars? Although Dr. Levi lived a comfortable life, the majority of her money was spent supporting her medical research. Dr. Levi was not so rich before her death that she could own a large casino like this.

So, where exactly did the money for a property like the Rabbit House come from?

Do you want him to believe that someone could manage a group of properties in 70 years and turn them into a large casino?

Anyway, Leon didn’t believe it.

It is nothing more than some people behind-the-scenes using small means to increase the value of her property after her death. This is to increase the level of cause-and-effect between him and Dr. Levi.

Now that the property has been increased to a sufficient value that the cause-and-effect relationship can be used to launch a casual attack, they will inevitably get in touch with him and let him formally inherit the property.

Naturally, Rabbit House was created because it is easy to improve the profitability of casinos.

You just need some people to keep gambling in large quantities until you lose.

To be honest, Leon was probably just an idle pawn to test the life-and-death of Dr. Levi through their causal relationship. Spending a couple hundred million dollars to ensure the death of a supreme genius like Dr. Levi was already extremely cheap.

-But Leon dared not state this guess aloud.

This kind of assassination attempt was extremely terrifying.

If Leon indicated that he had the slightest knowledge of it, there was a large possibility of backlash and being killed.

A tier 4 individual could easily kill him.

After obtaining an understanding of the true intention of the person behind-the-scenes, it was impossible for him to agree. Although Leon felt that it was unlikely that Dr. Levi was alive, he certainly wouldn’t have anything to do with a potential assassination attempt.

However, directly refusing Dr. Levi’s property was off the table…

“-I’ll naturally inherit the property that Dr. Levi left for me.” Leon decided to treat the situation as if Dr. Levi was still alive and delay as long as possible.

“In that case…” Ms. Lawyer placed a pen on the inheritance documents.

“No.” Leon slowly shook his head and tapped on the table. “I will only inherit the property that Dr. Levi left for me, please hand over her research notes.”

“That-” Ms. Lawyer immediately reacted with surprise, “No, you-”

“I believe that Dr. Levi’s last will and testament is extremely clear on this matter.” Leon calmly responded and sat back down with complete confidence. “We don’t have a deep enough relationship that I dare to inherit her money with a clear conscience. At most, we were barely acquaintances that discussed magic together.”

In this negotiation, Leon knew that it was unrealistic to completely avoid inheriting her property.

Ms. Lawyers had clearly done a large amount of research in this field and had completely caught him by surprise. Her legal arguments are most likely impeccable and have been perfected over the past 70 years. Even with the assistance of powerful lawyers, it would be difficult to completely overturn the situation before the case could be settled in court.

If this was truly an assassination attempt, even if he refused, the courts would force him to inherit Dr. Levi’s legacy through some legal loopholes.

However, thanks to Anna’s accidental comment earlier, Leon realized that Dr. Levi only intended to give him some research notes.

The available inheritance could naturally be limited to whatever was on the will of Dr. Levi.

“Legally, the only property that Dr. Levi intended for me to inherit is her research notes-” Leon calmly glanced at the inheritance papers with disdain. “Anything more is naturally only wishful thinking on your part. Neither the government, nor you have the right to forcefully hand a single penny more of her inheritance to me.”

Ms. Lawyer fell into silence.

Apparently, she hadn’t been expecting such a response.

“… Do you know how much trouble you will cause by doing this?” Katrena gritted her teeth and spoke up.

“Not my problem.” Leon cannot control the actions of others, so he naturally would not take responsibility for their actions.

To put it mildly… Leon was completely disgusted with the actions of the bunny-girls in front of him.

Although Leon knew that it was impossible for a tier 4 to explain their plan to a bunch of pawns, he still felt disgusted.

How can you be so righteous when accepting the benefits of those behind-the-scenes to ensure Dr. Levi’s death? This is a genius of your own rabbit tribe?! Using your brain for a moment could allow anyone to realize the abnormality of this situation…

What right do they have to question him?

Furthermore, even if Dr. Levi had died, Leon would not accept such benefits from her death with peace of mind.

“This is a legacy of with a valuation of at least 200 million dollars…” Katrena’s voice was filled with confusion and anger. “Why are you refusing?”

“Do I need a reason?” Leon blinked and pretended to be similarly confused.

“…” Katrena clenched her fist and looked at Ms. Lawyer for guidance.

“…What do you want?” Ms. Lawyer’s eyes showed fatigue and she looked several years older in an instant.

“Nothing except a clear conscience.” Leon shrugged and patted his thighs. “I believe I’ve made myself very clear on that point.”

“Well, this was a nice conversation… I hope that you die peacefully of old age before we have the chance to meet again.” Leon felt a breath of relief and looked at them with a subtle nod. “Rest assured; I will immediately hire the best lawyers available to ensure that I never get anything beyond the exact letter of what was left for me by Dr. Levi.”

Leon patted down the pajamas that he was wearing, stood up and walked out the door without listening to the words of the bunny-girls any longer.

“Oh, by the way, Anna… hand over my phone and get my actual clothing.” Leon glanced back at the bunny-girl with a large leaf tattoo on her breasts and waved his hand.

Anna was dazed, but followed him out the door and led the way. The bunny-girl absentmindedly took him through the hallways.

“Why did you refuse to inherit the Rabbit House?” Anna asked, recovering from her daze. She began to walk backward whilst crossing her arms behind her back.

“…” Leon looked at the beautiful bunny-girl that led the way with a strange expression.

Anna’s bunny-suit was extremely revealing in nature, with various stocking-like material that completely failed to conceal her beautiful body. Her delicate skin and gentle curves could be easily observed beneath the transparent fabric of the bunny-suit, her breasts bounced significantly with each movement and the delicate rabbit-tail behind her was quite pretty.

Even with the upper clothing pulled into a position that covered her nipples, the charm of Anna’s body was readily apparent with the delicately designed bunny-suit.

The bunny-suit clearly put a lot of thought into bringing out the charm of her feminine features.

“It seems that you are completely ignorant to the dangers of the world.” Leon shook his head, looked at Anna carefully and explained a nonsensical reason seriously. “If you don’t have the strength to retain money… it’s extremely dangerous to accept it. A tier 1 magician can only safely control a wealth of around a million dollars. Any more monetary funds will result in some hidden dangers appearing.”

“What dangers?” Anna’s face was filled with question marks.

“If a three-year old child walked down the street holding a gold brick, do you think that some criminals would not be tempted to take action?” Leon snorted and explained. “Even an ordinary person might try to scam the child out of the gold brick, not to mention ruthless criminals.”

“We live in a society of order! Even if they killed you, they wouldn’t be able to inherit it.” Anna retorted in disbelief.

“Do you treat me as an idiot, even I know some basic mind control magic?” Leon rolled his eyes. “The relevant laws and order in theory and application are two different things. Furthermore, have you actually read the legal code? It is literally written into the laws that those with sufficient strength can get away with various criminal activities.”

“-But…” Anna felt that his logic was problematic, but didn’t understand where.

“-But nothing.” Leon rolled his eyes and ignored her, “Even if there is only a 0.01% chance of putting me in danger, I will not accept it.”

“Alright.” Anna seemed to be disappointed.

Leon internally breathed a sigh of relief after she accepted his nonsense.

What Leon stated was true, but… It can only be said that if your background is hard enough, even a fierce gangster would not dare to rob a three-year old child. He only needed a suitable reason to avoid the suspicion of a potential tier 4 assassin.

Naturally, the main reason was that he simply didn’t want to accept the inheritance of Dr. Levi.
