Chapter 122: The Woman Eye.
Drake went through his matches in the Arena smoothly. After that he went back to cultivating.
The next day Drake arrived at a different venue.
It was also a park, but it was a different one this time. As soon as Drake arrived he felt that ominous feeling again, but he chose to ignore it this time. A short while later, it vanished.
Drake snorted. "Whoever you are, I'm warning you. You're testing my patience, and it's really starting to annoy me." He muttered under his breath.
Peter and Paul were already here with Simon, they were waiting at a wooden bench they had taken over.
Drake sat after exchanging pleasantries with them.
They soon got down to business after some idle talk.
Drake started. "Alright Simon, now that we've gotten rid of the fear of talking to girls problem, we can get to the real stuff. Are you ready?"
"Hit me. Let's do it!" Simon nodded.
After that run yesterday, he was revving to go another hundred rounds.
Seeing Simon's enthusiastic reaction, Drake nodded in satisfaction. "Good! I like that confidence you have, because your mission for today is to ask a girl out on a date."
Simon's face immediately turned grave.
"Hey what's with the long face. You look like you're about to face a Demon King bare handed." Paul chided.
Peter also chimed in. "Yeah, I really don't know why you're treating all this like it's something serious. I mean it's not like I asked you to sleep with a girl. Now that's the real Big Leagues..."
As soon as those words escaped Peter's lips, a devastating killing intent instantly descended on the entire park.
Everybody in the park suddenly felt the temperature suddenly drop.
There was suddenly the sound of a baby crying and people with pets noticed that they suddenly lay prone shivering and whimpering on the ground.
The 'Eyes of Order' were immediately activated and everything with the surrounding several hundred meters was reflected in his mind.
While Drake's sight searched through the Park for the culprit Peter was startled when he felt the temperature suddenly drop.
"Hey did you guys feel that?" Peter asked.
"What?" Paul turned to him inquiring.
Peter shook his head and said. "I don't know if it's just me, but I think it suddenly got cold."
Paul nodded. "You're not the only one, it does feel much colder out here. But there was nothing about temperature dropping in the weather forecast."
It was like they had all fallen into a thousand year old Ice cavern.
Simon shook his head and said "No, not yet! I don't know if I'm ready for the Big Leagues just yet."
It was unknown whether he hadn't been paying attention or he just didn't notice the abrupt change in the atmosphere.
Paul nodded. "I don't think so either, maybe some other time."
When Paul said this part the temperature finally returned to normal.
"Huh, it's gone?" Peter immediately looked around upon noticing the change.
Drake had been flipping through all the people in the Park one by one and he felt as if he was closing in on the perp that was responsible for the killing intent that had been annoying him for the past two days when the killing intent suddenly vanished and he lost the trail.
This immediately made Drake's expression turn unsightly.
"Damn it, I almost had them." He growled.
Peter noticed the dark expression on Drake's face and asked. "Everything alright Boss? You don't look so good."
"What's the matter?" Paul also asked as Drake was behaving strangely.
Drake wanted to explain, but then after a second thought decided not to. "It's nothing." He assured them.
However, in his mind Drake already had a suspect.
"Alright let's get to it. I want to see just how many dates you can go on today."
"How many dates I can go on today? Is it possible to go on more than one Date in a day?"
Of course it's possible.
"Why not?"
Drake just shook his head and sighed, these guys had no idea how innocent Simon was. If they did, they would realise that they were asking the wrong questions.
"Simon, What's your definition of going on dates?" Drake asked keeping his gaze on Simon.
"You know, Like take her to an amusement park, maybe go see a movie together, take her to a fancy restaurant..."
"Stop, I've heard enough."
Peter and Paul had weird looks on
Peter instructed. "First of all Simon, there are two types of dates. The Instant Date and the Full Date; the kind of date you are talking about is the full date. If you were to go on full dates then you probably wouldn't be able to go on more than two or three in a day. Let's not forget that In some serious cases just a single Date could take up the whole day sometimes."
Simon nodded, this was exactly his definition of a Date.
As far as Simon was concerned, a Date was very time consuming taking up to several hours at a stretch. That is why he did not think it would be possible to go on more than a single Date in one day at his level.
Paul also chimed in. "There's no problem if you can go on that kind of Date, but we're not saying it has to be a full Date. As long as you can get her to maybe go on a stroll with you, or get a drink with you or whatever. It's considered a Date."
After a few more minutes of lectures, it was time to get back in the field for practical experience.
Words wouldn't make you a master, practice would. After all, experience was the best teacher.
For the next few hours Simon was plunged back into the eternal sea of training.
Trial and error, failure and correction. This was the cycle Simon used for his comprehension process.
Unexpectedly in only two hours, Simon successfully got his first 'Instant Date'.
This didn't surprise Drake. Girls generally liked hanging out more with the opposite sex than with their fellow girls. And whether she agrees to hang out with you depends more on the kind of impression you give her.
From a very young age, even before they get to their teenage years girls already learn about relationships that exist between men and women. For most of them, the very moment you walk up to her and start talking to her she already knows what you're there for.
At this point you may not realise it, but you've brought yourself before the court where she is Judge, Jury and Executioner. And it's time for her
As for how you plead your case that depends on the impression you have on her.
Different girls have different personalities so while nothing may change about you, the impression you leave on each girl differs.
Some girls may like straight and direct guys, others may prefer cool and calm. Some even like simple guys and some prefer rugged military, or gangsters and extreme. Each has their own preferences.
As for how she knows which to classify you under, That is decided by the power of the woman's eye.
For a woman the instant she turns in your direction, you have already fallen under her scrutiny.
It takes the woman eye less than a trillionth of a trillionth of a second for her to scan through a mans basic anatomy, physiology and psychology.
Before you can even finish pronouncing your first few words, she already has a file with your data in it. Whether it be your financial stability, your personality, temperament; she already has most of this information from just that one look.
It's now this information that determines what her interest meter would look like.
Only a select few can hide or fake these things in front of a woman. Even then it's not that they can completely mask it, just that they are able to throw the woman's eye off, thereby preventing her from getting an accurate reading.
Any man that can do this will instantly garner the girls curiosity because he starts being mysterious to them.
The reason why men sometimes get rejected when they approach is partly because of how low their rating on the interest scale is.
Drake watched from a table next to the window in the restaurant across the street as Simon and the girl went into a small establishment to get drinks.
With a smile on his face Drake nodded in approval.
Peter and Paul were also grinning widely.
"Damn, watching this kid makes an old man want to get in the field and get his hands dirty." Peter said cracking his fingers.
Paul nodded. "I'm also getting a bit itchy."
"You got a target?" Peter
"I'm looking at her right now." Paul replied his gaze focused somewhere out the window.
Peter slammed his palm on the table a got to his feet, then said. "Good, let's go."
Drake shook his head. He had to take care of Simon in case he came back or to help if a problem rises.
He watched the twins walk away before turning back to the restaurant across the street that Simon had just walked into.
Drake watched as Simon and the girl got their drinks and found a place to sit.
"As expected of a Telepath, he learns at an astonishing speed." Drake praised lightly. "At least at this rate we won't need to teach him how to get more personal." He muttered under his breath
Just as he mentioned this a terrifying killing intent descended on him.
Sensing the familiar ominous feeling, Drake snorted in irritation. "The damn assassins these days are really amateur. They have absolutely no respect at all releasing their killing intent so openly. If it weren't because they were so good at hiding, I would really like to teach them a lesson after such blatant provocation." He grumbled but decided to ignore the killing intent.
It would go away when they got tired.
However, the next moment Drake's expression instantly changed as he felt an ominous presence rapidly close in on him. The next second there was a breeze that blew his face.
It was right next to him!
BOOM!
