Chapter 61
As soon as they entered the storage room, an aromatic herb invaded their nose. They even felt relaxed smelling the aroma.
"Oh, wow, Sir Fendrel there must be a rare plant in here, to produce this kind of aroma." Carl said while having a relaxed face.
"There is... At least two rare plants." Fendrel said.
"That's good, Sir Fendrel. As far as I remembered, rare plants would be sold, for ten to twenty thousand gold coins." Carl said.
"En, that's a good price." Fendrel said.
"It is, sir Fendrel, rare plants are kinda rare in my town... However, in some cities, rare plants don't really amount too much." Sansa said.
"Ohh really, why is that?" While asking, Fendrel brought the two on the thing that looks like a bookshelf, it's a wooden ladder bookshelf. However, what place in it was boxed with plants inside.
"It's because this forest is so big, that there is a large amount of rare plants and herbs in it." Santa said.
"En... Can you tell me how big this forest is?" Fendrel asked since it looks like Sansa was knowledgeable about the world. Fendrel took this chance to learn about the world.
"... Sure, Sir Fendrel." Although Sansa was confused why Fendrel doesn't know about the forest, since it's not really a secret. She still told him everything she knows.
"Carl, what about you evaluate all the goods. While I tell Sir Fendrel what I know." Sansa said to Carl, the latter immediately nodded in agreement.
"That's not a problem at all." Carl said, then walked towards the plants, and started inspecting the plants one by one.
Sansa shafted her gaze to Fendrel then asked a question "Sir Fendrel, you really didn't have knowledge about this forest?"
"Yeah... It's hard to explain." Fendrel become silent and didn't say more.
"It's ok, Sir Fendrel, I won't probe into Sir Fendrel's secret." Sansa said, Fendrel can only smile at her.
"Sir Fendrel if you don't know, the name of this forest is called Salabid Forest, in other words, a barrier. Moreover, this forest also has another nickname... the edge of the world." Sansa said.
"Ohh, A barrier? the edge of the world?" Hearing the name of the forest, piqued his curiosity.
"Yes Sir Fendrel, it's called a barrier because this forest is like a blockade that prevents us from reaching the other side of the forest."
Hearing it Fendrel's eyebrow arch upward, he became even more confused.
"How is that possible, if you can't get through the forest, what about the sea? And how long is this forest?" Fendrel asked
"That's even more impossible, Sir Fendrel. The sea is even more dangerous than the forest, and as for how long it is. It's soo long it reaches from end to end." Sansa said.
Fendrel becomes silent for some time, before asking again. "Then, the last thing... Can you tell me about the world?"
Sansa was taken aback, however, she still answers Fendrel without questioning him.
"That's not a problem Sir Fendrel... There are 5 continents overall in the world, I don't know much about the other continent. However, in this continent we were in, is called Vaeslepias Continent. It has five kingdoms, three human kingdoms, and two demihuman kingdoms." Sansa said.
"En..." Fendrel nodded. "Thank you... You really helped me broaden my horizon."
"This is nothing at all, Sir Fendrel. Compare to the things you did to us, even though we are humans." Sansa said, Fendrel only smile at him.
"Hoo... Finally, I'm done Sir Fendrel." Carl said while wiping his sweat, dramatically.
Seeing Carl, Sansa can't help but chuckle, she said. "Your so dramatic Carl... So, how much all the goods sir Fendrel has?"
"What dramatic are you saying, do you know how it is to plus all the gold coins." Carl said to Sansa with a run-down face. He then shifted his gaze to Fendrel, before saying.
"Sir Fendrel, all of these basic plants and the gems will be sold, at least, at ten thousand gold coins." Carl said.
"Ohh, that's not bad." Fendrel was satisfied, for 20 basic plants, 10 Tier 1 Elemental Gems, and 100 normal gems. That was a good price, so, Fendrel was satisfied.
"Are these all the things you wanted to trade, Sir Fendrel?" Carl asked.
"No, that's not all. My soldiers are still finding the herbs and plants, written in the book I got. However, we only have ten more days, before the merchant to come." He said.
"That's good, Sir Fendrel. We plan to leave the village tomorrow. However, since Sir Fendrel is going to trade. We will stay for now, and help Sir Fendrel with that merchant. If that merchant is going to scam Sir Fendrel, will get a beating from me." Sansa said.
"Count me in, hehe." Carl said, suddenly, as though he remembered something, he continued. "Sir Fendrel, aren't you have two rare plants?"
"Ohh, yes, I almost forgot that." Fendrel walked into the corner, to get the two small boxes. He then gives it to the two.
"Ohh, Carl I just want to remind you, do not touch what's inside your box." Fendrel said, because what Carl got was the poisonous rose. So, he reminds him before it's too late.
Hearing it, Carl can't help but swallowed a saliva. Then, carefully took the lid of the box. Seeing what's inside, Carl almost throws the box.
"Sir Fendrel, this is the Spiky Rose. This plant is highly poisonous, just a touch of this thing, is enough to kill an Elite Warrior." Carl said, with a horror expression plastered on his face.
"En... You know this plant?" Fendrel asked.
"Yes, Sir Fendrel. If you give it to the Tier 2 alchemist, you can use this to brew an antidote that can cure a bite of Tier 3 poisonous beast." Carl said.
"Ohh, that's good, how much do you think this thing would sell?" Fendrel asked.
"I think, it's between 10-15 thousand gold coins, Sir Fendrel." Carl reply.
"En... Not bad at all." Fendrel said.
"My love, what about you." Carl shifted his gaze to Sansa when he noticed Sansa had fallen silent. The next moment, he was surprised, when he saw Sansa was crying silently, looking at the box.
