Celestial Bloodline

Chapter 49: Old scroll I

George and Elder Han were both sitting and having tea in a room. The room was pretty ordinary, with just a single bed in the middle and two chairs in one corner with a table. While they were talking and enjoying their tea, they heard a knock on the door.

Han looked at the door and invited the people outside to come in. In the next second, two people entered the room. It was Carcel and Alec. The duo greeted the vice principal and the librarian politely but Alec had a pretty annoyed look on his face, like someone had just ruined his favorite activity.

However, George didn't notice the slight annoyance on his face and put down his teacup to look at Alec and Carcel with a serious expression.

"There's something I would like to give both of you."

Han, who was sitting across from the vice principal, looked at him with knitted brows because George had only called the top two students. Then, what about Kyle? The student he recommended?

In his point of view, Kyle should also be included if the academy was going to offer safety measures to some promising students. So what if his talent is low?

Out of all the students, Kyle was the only one who could actually see through the librarian's concealing artifact. Sure, the artifact wasn't that strong, but being able to see through it was pretty impressive.

So why isn't Kyle included?

George waved his hand, and two small black stones filled with golden inscriptions appeared on the table. He was about to talk to Alec and Carcel when Han interrupted him.

"Are you sure you only want to give the stones to these two kids? I think you should also consider the one I recommended."

The vice principal looked at the elder and frowned. He knew who Han was talking about, but giving the stone to Kyle wouldn't make much sense. These stones were precious, found by the Principal of the Royal Academy when he entered the tower in his younger days. The f^ull s.eri%e.s@ is ho#s$t+e+d$ on My Vir*t!u@al- L@i!b*r@ary E&m&pi%re,* k#now&n as MV+7.LEMPYR$.

Also, they were one-time use items that could only be used inside the tower. If crushed, the stones would teleport the one who crushed them a short distance inside the tower.

They're like a life-saving treasure for those who enter the tower. The principal gave these stones to George before he left and asked him to give one to the student with the highest talent.

But now that prince Carcel is also part of the academy, George had no choice but to give one to Carcel too. After all, If the King found out that the Academy had such a treasure and didn't give it to his son, he would surely fight with the principal.

Also, George only had two stones. That's why he was thinking of giving one to Carcel and one to Alec. He sighed and asked Elder Han to leave the room.

Han didn't bother him anymore and quietly left because he knew the vice principal wouldn't listen to him. Once out of the room, the librarian lips curved upward into a smile because he had a feeling George would regret his decision soon.

"Also, I don't believe Kyle only has a (B)-Rank talent. I won't believe it until I confirm it myself!"

During the journey, Elder Han kept an eye on Kyle, but whenever he tried to talk or approach him, for some unknown reason, the kid would run away. That's why he couldn't confirm his talent. After a long sigh, Han left.

This time, he's going to find Kyle and check his talent himself. If his guess is right and Kyle is a hidden gem, he'll take him as his disciple.

'It isn't bad at all.'

Inside the room, George gave a summary about the stones to Alec and Carcel, and then he gave each of them a stone. He asked them to keep it a secret. Alec and Carcel were a bit surprised, but they still thanked the vice principal and left the room.

....

In the meantime, Kyle, who was wandering around the busy market, spotted a small crowd gathered in a corner. He got curious and went to check it out. In the midst of the crowd stood an old-looking dwarf with brown hair and eyes.

The old dwarf had a smug smile on his face as he kept urging the crowd to take a look at the weapons piled up on his left side. Kyle overheard whispers among the crowd that the dwarf was selling high-quality weapons at incredibly low prices. But nobody believed his claims.

It made sense, right? Why would someone sell top-notch weapons as if they were vegetables?

Gradually, the crowd started to disperse, not buying a word from the dwarf who seemed to be lowering the prices even more.

In the end, only Kyle and a few other young humans stayed with the dwarf. They all started checking out the weapons, and Kyle couldn't help but think that the weapons might be fake because of the low prices.

But Bia, who was sitting on top of his head, told him that all the weapons were genuine! Not a single one was fake!

That revelation caught his attention, and he started examining the weapons more closely. The other individuals ended up buying a weapon from the dwarf and left, leaving only Kyle and the dwarf behind.

Since he already had a (D)-Rank sword, he didn't plan on purchasing another one. Even though the weapons were of good quality, they were practically useless to him at the moment. After looking around for a while, he was about to leave, but then the old dwarf, who had been observing him, lowered the price even more.

The dwarf presented a beautiful bow to Kyle and urged him to buy it, saying that he would be leaving soon and they might never meet again. However, Kyle sensed something fishy from the dwarf's sleazy smile, so he politely declined the offer and tried to leave. But the dwarf stopped him once again.

"Hey, young one. I can't lower the price any further. But since you don't seem interested in buying a weapon, how about purchasing something else? I have other items for sale too."

Instantly, the dwarf revealed more objects from his storage ring and looked at Kyle with a sly smile.

"I'm almost reaching my monthly quota, so please buy at least one thing, hehe."

Now Kyle became even more suspicious. What monthly quota was the dwarf talking about?

But the problem was, after noticing that Kyle was wearing a high-quality storage ring, the dwarf wasn't going to let him go until he bought something.
