Chapter 2: Chapter 4-5
Chapter 4
Sunday brunch at Kris Jenner's house was filled with laughter and lively conversation, as always. All the Kardashian-Jenner family members were in attendance, including Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Kylie, and of course, Kendall.
But this time, the gathering had a special twist. Kendall was about to officially introduce her boyfriend, Bad Bunny, to the family. However, the most anticipated meeting of the day was between Bad Bunny and Scott, Kendall's older brother, who had recently returned to public life after years of serving in the special forces.
Kendall knew that Scott, being the protective person he always was, could get tough with Bad Bunny, but she was confident that her boyfriend could handle the situation.
"It's going to be okay," Kendall whispered to Bad Bunny as they approached the lunch table.
Normally confident and at ease in any situation, Bad Bunny seemed a little nervous knowing that he would have to face his overprotective brother. The family was all gathered at the large outdoor table, laughing and chatting, when Scott showed up.
He joined everyone at the table, but before he sat down, he grabbed something from a briefcase that was next to his chair. To everyone's surprise, Scott pulled out a gun from his collection, one he used to use during his military deployments, and began to calmly clean it while glancing at Bad Bunny.
Silence fell over the table.
Kris was the first to laugh, already accustomed to Scott's peculiar sense of humor. "Oh my God, Scott! Don't do that to the boy!"
Kendall, trying not to laugh, gave his brother a gentle shove. "Scott, stop it!"
Bad Bunny, who usually exuded confidence on stage, was visibly sweating as he tried to maintain his composure. He looked at the gun, then at Scott, and back at Kendall, clearly disconcerted.
"I'm just cleaning my gun," Scott said with an enigmatic smile, continuing to polish the shiny metal. "You know, we have to keep things in order."
Kourtney, who was across the table, couldn't help but laugh. "Seriously, Scott, is that a veiled threat or something?"
Khloé, ever the jokester, leaned over to Bad Bunny and whispered loud enough for everyone to hear, "I would tell you to run."
Everyone at the table burst into laughter, while Bad Bunny tried to laugh along, but was clearly uncomfortable with the situation. Scott, seizing the moment, looked directly at his sister's boyfriend and said casually,
"So, Benito, right? What do you do to make sure my sister is safe and happy?"
Bad Bunny, wiping the sweat from his forehead, gave a nervous smile. "I... I try to do everything I can to make her feel good, you know? We get along really well, and... I respect her a lot."
Scott put the gun away, finally smiling. "That's all I wanted to hear." He then stood up and extended his hand to Bad Bunny. "Welcome to the family."
Kendall sighed with relief and smiled, while the whole family applauded and laughed at the dramatic way Scott had tested her new boyfriend. Scott, despite his intimidating behavior, finally relaxed, showing that he was just messing with Benito.
"You'll survive this," Kylie joked, winking at Bad Bunny. "If you can handle Scott, you're officially approved."
Bad Bunny, now relaxed, let out a genuine laugh and joined in the fun. He had passed Scott's "test," and from that moment on, the family lunch continued with even more laughter and lightheartedness.
In the end, Bad Bunny's initial discomfort ended up strengthening the bond with Kendall's family, and Scott, despite all the intimidation, showed that he was happy to see his sister with someone who treated her well.
The lunch ended with everyone still laughing and sharing stories, and Bad Bunny, now much more relaxed, promised to never forget that encounter with Scott.
Chapter 5
The afternoon sun was softly spreading across the garden of the Jenner mansion, where the Kardashian-Jenner family often gathered. This time, however, there was something special in the air.
Scott, the oldest brother who had been absent for so long, was now part of these family gatherings again. And after having reconnected with his sisters, Scott was determined to strengthen the bond with his nieces and nephews, the new generation of the family.
It was a quiet afternoon, and the children of Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and Kylie were running around the lawn, playing and laughing nonstop. North, Saint, Mason, Penelope, True and Stormi were among the liveliest, chasing a soccer ball while Kris watched from afar with a proud smile.
Scott sat on the porch, watching with interest. He had spent years away, on dangerous and distant missions, and missing these family moments was one of the things that bothered him the most.
Now that he was retired, he wanted to make up for lost time, especially with the little ones. Kim, noticing her brother's watchful gaze, approached him with a cup of coffee.
"They're full of energy, aren't they?" she commented, laughing as she watched her children run around.
"They're amazing," Scott said with a smile. "I missed a lot of that, didn't I?"
Kim gave him an understanding smile. "You were doing something important, Scott. But now that you're back, you have all the time in the world to get to know them better."
He nodded decisively. "I think it's time I introduce myself properly."
Scott stood up and walked toward the group of children. North and Penelope were the first to notice their uncle's approach and stopped playing, curious. "Uncle Scott!" North shouted, already accustomed to the idea that she had an uncle she barely knew, but who was now present.
Mason, always the most observant, asked, "You were a soldier, right? Like... for real?"
Scott laughed. "Yes, Mason. I was in the military for many years."
Impressed, Mason looked at Scott with admiration. "You carried guns? And helicopters?"
"That's right," Scott replied, sitting down on the grass next to his nephews. "I did a lot of the things you see in action movies, but in real life."
The children's eyes were bright with curiosity and excitement. Saint, who had been silent until then, finally asked, "Did you save people? Like heroes do?"
Scott was silent for a moment, reflecting on the difficult missions he had faced. He knew the children had a romantic view of what he had done, and he didn't want to ruin that, but he also wanted to be honest. "I tried to help a lot of people. Sometimes it was dangerous, but it was what I did to protect those in need."
Penelope, ever sensitive, looked at him with wide eyes. "Did you ever get hurt?"
"A few times," Scott said softly. "But I always came home."
True, who had been playing with Stormi until then, came closer and asked in his sweet voice: "Are you going to stay with us now, Uncle Scott?"
Scott smiled and pulled True into a gentle hug. "Yes, True. I'm going to stay with you now. I'm not leaving anymore."
The children began asking more and more questions, fascinated by the world of adventures that their uncle represented. And, even though Scott didn't tell them all the details of the missions, he engaged in the conversations with a lightness that the children loved.
Little by little, he found himself completely surrounded by his nephews and nieces, all looking at him with admiration and affection.
After a while, he suggested something different. "What do you think of a new game? I can teach you some basic tactics on how to hide and escape without being caught. Something I learned during my missions."
The children's eyes lit up even more. "Yes!" they shouted in unison.
Scott began teaching them some simple camouflage tactics and stealth moves, turning the mansion's garden into a makeshift training ground. North and Mason excelled at leading the teams, while Penelope and True loved hiding in the most unusual places. Stormi, still a toddler, just laughed and ran around, having fun with the new energy that Scott had brought.
Kris, watching everything from afar, smiled. Seeing her oldest son reconnect with his family, especially the little ones, was a relief to her mother's heart. He had always been so protective and devoted, and now he was bringing that same energy to the next generation.
Later, when the sun began to set and the children were tired from playing so much, Scott sat on the porch again, this time surrounded by North, Mason and Penelope, who were curious to hear more stories of his adventures.
"Uncle Scott, are you going to teach us more tricks tomorrow?" Mason asked, already planning the next day.
"Of course," Scott replied, smiling. "Tomorrow we'll practice how to avoid getting caught in the dark."
The children laughed excitedly and quickly got ready to walked into the house, where Kris was already preparing snacks. Scott sat there, reflecting on how good it was to be back.
He might have spent years in conflict zones, but nothing compared to the peace of being home, surrounded by the family he loved so much.
And now, he was determined to be a part of his nieces and nephews' lives in a meaningful way, knowing that he would never have to leave again.
