“Application form?”
When I blankly stared at the paper thrust in front of me, Roxanna waved her hand lightly.
“Hey, my arm hurts.”
“If you’re so weak that you can’t even hold a piece of paper, maybe you should look for another place instead.”
“Come on, is this how you treat someone you know?”
“What kind of relationship do we have?”
“Umm… the kind where I explained everything in great detail?”
Is she referring to when she showed me around the student council room on the Crown Prince’s orders like that? I looked at her in disbelief. Roxanna stuck her tongue out playfully and laughed mischievously, saying it was a joke.
“Just kidding, can I come in now? I am a guest, right? Isn’t it rude to leave a guest standing at the door?”
“How brazen. Usually, that’s something we should say first, isn’t it?”
“Is that so? Hehe.”
“…Just come in.”
Whatever this woman’s true identity was, on the surface, she was a student council member. And quite close to the Crown Prince, at that. My instinct warned me that sending her away would cause more trouble.
“Wow… what’s all this? How did you get it?”
Roxanna looked around and exclaimed as soon as she came in.
“How did we get it? We bought it with money.”
“From the club’s budget? These things look really expensive, but we don’t usually get this much budget… Oh, right. You’re from the Crate family, aren’t you?”
Roxanna wandered around the room, marvelling at every little thing like an innocent girl. The sharp and cautious demeanour she had before was nowhere to be seen.
Aria, who knew how she behaved during our first club meeting, wore a similar expression to mine. Brunhilde seemed to think it was just how things were.
After wandering around the room for quite a while, Roxanna finally sat on the sofa and melted into it, looking as if she would sink into it completely.
Brynhild, beside me, asked, “Did we have faces like that when we first sat here?”
When I answered yes, she blushed in embarrassment and cleared her throat.
“Have you seen everything?”
“Yeah. This place is really nice. It’s even better than our student council room. I’m starting to like it here more and more. What should I do if you reject my application? I might actually cry.”
“You can do whatever you want. By the way, do you even know what our club does before applying?”
“No? I don’t. I came here because of you.”
She probably meant that sincerely, except for the part about following the Succubus Queen’s orders.
“You came because of me?”
“I just felt a spark, you know? Like you and I would get along well. Considering what happened before, if you let me join, I’ll use my student council privileges to make things easier for you wherever I can. Maybe increase your budget, or give you more freedom during festivals?”
“You’re openly admitting to favoring one club over others.”
“Bellium Academy has always been like that. The better you are at studying, the more privileges you get, right? Think about who’s in this club. It would be stranger not to support you.”
Roxanna picked up a dessert from the table and ate it with a cute smile.
“So, will you let me join?”
“Well…?”
I hesitated to answer because I smelled something sweet. It wasn’t the scent of cookies or jam from the dessert; I was sure of that.
‘Is she trying something again?’
Even though she looked innocent, she was a half-succubus meticulously crafted by the Succubus Queen. She was so perfectly refined that she could walk around the base of the dark dragon Meligor without a care. So, I couldn’t let my guard down.
The sweet smell was subtly different from what I smelled in the student council room last time, but I used a magic spell to cure any status ailments just in case. It was a slightly lower-tier spell than soul purification.
As soon as I cast the spell, the sweet smell around my nose disappeared, and my heart, which had been beating slightly faster without me realizing it, calmed down.
The change was so subtle that I only noticed my heartbeat had been faster than usual after it slowed down. Most people wouldn’t have noticed it.
‘She did something again.’
Roxanna wandering around the room under the guise of looking around was probably a setup for the current situation. Since there wasn’t any tangible evidence left, it was a win-win situation for her.
“Hmm? Can’t you let me join? Look, here. I’ll even give you a bribe.”
Roxanna placed one hand on the table, leaned forward with her hips seductively pushed back, and brought her upper body closer. Her chest slightly sagged due to gravity. She extended her other hand towards me, holding a croissant covered in saliva between her thumb and index finger, presumably from having bitten it.
If someone were under her pheromones’ influence, they would have lost their mind and licked it, but not me.
“I don’t eat food that someone else has bitten. I don’t see any reason to accept you, so you should leave now.”
“What? Wait! Did I do something wrong—”
I finally found an excuse to forcibly push Roxanna out and lock the clubroom door. I could hear her desperately knocking on the door, begging to be let back in, but ignoring her for a while made her give up eventually.
I immediately opened the windows. Given that it was pheromones spread by a succubus, merely opening the windows might not help, but it was worth a try.
“What do you think…?”
As I opened the windows to let in the fresh air, I turned to ask Aria and Brynhild what they thought, but I stopped mid-sentence.
Both of them were breathing heavily with slightly flushed faces.
I wondered why those two girls were affected by the pheromones released by the succubus, but then I remembered that this was supposed to be a yuri (girls’ love) romance fantasy. That explained their reactions.
Still, I was left wondering if succubus in this world had the power to charm both men and women.
‘I should release them from it first.’
Seeing Brynhild and Aria’s breathing becoming sweeter, I knew I couldn’t leave them like that for long. I approached and shook their shoulders as if to wake them, dispersing the pheromones.
“Uh… Ah?”
“Hyaah?!”
Brynhild woke up like someone who had been dozing off, and Aria let out a cute scream as she snapped out of her daze. I pretended to know nothing and asked.
“What’s wrong?”
“N-no… It’s nothing. I think I just dozed off for a moment…?”
Brynhild paused, her golden pupils trembling. Her fingers subtly moved between her legs, and the tip of her finger touched her most private area.
“……!!!!!!”
With a shocked face, she jumped up from her seat. Aria had a similar reaction. She cautiously moved her hand between her legs, then blushed bright red like a tomato and stood up.
“I-I’ll be right back!”
“Me too…!”
Trying to cover between their legs as naturally as possible, Brunhilde hurriedly ran out, followed by Aria, who bowed her head like a sinner. It seemed the pheromones had a rather strong effect.
“What’s wrong with them? Did something happen?”
Rosalia entered, almost as if she had timed it perfectly to switch places with the other two.
“You know Roxanna, right? She sprayed pheromones to seduce me, but I’m fine and they got affected instead.”
“So they went out to… relieve themselves? Together?”
Rosalia’s face became suggestive. I spoke in an exasperated tone.
“I know how you introduced this place, but don’t get any weird ideas. I used magic to free them from the pheromones. Of course, it was magic.”
“W-what?! What was I thinking?! Geez, you’re accusing an innocent person! Of course, you used magic! What else could it be?”
Rosalia waved her hands in a flustered manner, quickly changing the subject.
“Oh, right! I have someone to introduce to you! Come in now, Priscilla!”
I looked at the spot Rosalia moved from, curious. Priscilla walked in hesitantly, wearing a skirt much shorter than usual.
“……?”
The school uniform wasn’t long to begin with, but she had pulled it up so high that it barely covered her butt. Even Priscilla herself was blushing. As my eyes filled with disbelief, Rosalia quickly spoke up.
“Just so you know, I tried to stop her.”
“…Well, leaving aside the fact that you tried to stop her, why is she suddenly like that?”
“Don’t ask me; I don’t know either. She suddenly showed up today and said she wanted to dress like me. Do you think I dress like this because I want to? I’m forced to because I can’t extend the holy power threads enough. She even cast a spell so no one else could see, so I don’t know what she’s thinking.”
Rosalia sank into the sofa with a tired expression. She seemed to like the feeling, as she smiled blissfully and helped herself to the dessert, her eyes sparkling with satisfaction. Meanwhile, Priscilla approached me.
“So, how… do I look? Does it suit me?”
“…”
I chose to remain silent. I had no idea what to say. What kind of feedback was I supposed to give here? Should I say I like that her skirt is short? Or that her almost-exposed butt is attractive? Or that the increased exposure is pleasing to the eye? Honestly, whatever I picked would be an awkward compliment.
While I was busy racking my brain for something to say, Priscilla sat down next to me. Even though she was sitting on the sofa, her skirt was so short that it barely touched the seat.
“…”
Priscilla looked up at me with eyes full of anticipation. If I avoided answering, that expectation would turn into pure disappointment. I wracked my brain and came up with the best response I could muster.
“Priscilla.”
“Y-yes…”
The hesitation in my response must have made her think I didn’t like it, as her voice lacked confidence. I leaned in and whispered in her ear.
“Wear that when it’s just the two of us.”
“…! O-okay!”
Priscilla’s face brightened immediately. I couldn’t believe I said something so crazy. It was quite misleading, but considering we’ve been alone with even less clothing before, it should be fine.
While Priscilla hurriedly pulled her skirt down, Rosalia, who had finished devouring the snacks on the table, licked her fingers and started speaking.
“I forgot to mention, you once told me to ignore whatever the Pope said.”
“Yeah, I did.”
“The Pope sent a final warning last night. He said he’d send his son as my escort, so I should be satisfied and come back quietly. He warned that if I don’t return this time, he won’t leave me alone.”
“…His son?”
I looked at Priscilla. She shook her head, indicating she didn’t know.
“It’s natural you wouldn’t know. The Pope kept it a secret. Only I and a few high-ranking priests know, but Priscilla, you might remember if I say this: you know that guy with the dangling tentacles? The one who appeared beside me when I reached the Pope and dragged me away? Well, he ended up getting beaten by me without landing a single hit and died.”
“I think I know who you mean.”
Priscilla nodded. It seemed she hadn’t fought him directly.
“Anyway, the Pope said he’d send that bastard as my escort, so I should come back quietly. Considering that lazy guy, who never leaves the Vatican, is being sent all the way here, the Pope must be really pissed.”
Rosalia laughed gleefully as she recounted the story. I listened quietly before asking a question.
“Did you just say the Pope’s son? But if he’s the Pope’s son, he’d be over forty at the youngest. Is he really capable enough to be sent as an escort? Isn’t he too old?”
Rosaria snorted at my question.
“Forty? Not even close. Prepare to be surprised.”
“Surprised? Why?”
“That guy is nineteen this year. He’s the same age as Priscilla.”
“…….”
