Blood Nemesis

Chapter 210: Luna 5

"That's what happened!" Luna spoke, dazed as the revelation dawned on her.

She thought for a while before suddenly snapping out of her rumination.

"Why did you ask if there was something else?" She turned to Oliver and asked.

"Oh! That's because I believe the demons had something to do with it."

Oliver never intended to hide this part. Only by revealing the presence of the demons could he convince her to hide the majority of the information and work with him.

"Demon?" Luna's brows tightened into a frown. "What does it have to do with demons?"

"There are no perfume deer which will eat flesh. Secondly, monsters don't hide their aura–the life sign that you can detect. If they had been hidden until you were that close, something intelligent would have helped them. So, I believe the monsters you faced and the deer are demons."

Luna was exasperated.

She couldn't believe what she was hearing.

However, at the same time, she was curious.

Why were the demons targeting them?

She wanted to know it immediately.

"From here on out, you will never speak about the things that I am about to reveal with anyone." Oliver sat straight. "It is important that no information leaks because, if it did, we could all die." He added.

Luna noticed that he was being serious and straightened her posture. She suppressed the flames of fury burning in her and focused on what Oliver had to say.

Although she didn't initially believe Oliver, he seems convincing enough right now. Hearing him out was the only option right now.

"The demons, for some reason, want you dead. The reason can wait because you are not the only one who is being targeted by the demons. All talented individuals from the human side are."

"If you don't mind me being honest, I have saved a few myself from the clutches of the demons."

"You and your brother included."

Oliver boasted and winked.

"My brother!"

Luna was shocked. What does this have to do with her brother, she thought.

"Yes, your brother is an A-grade talent with teleportation ability. He is a talented individual."

"He is!"

"Yes," Oliver nodded and replied evenly. "The demons chose to eliminate you because they knew they couldn't control you. But your brother was about to be manipulated into working for the demons when I met him."

"He was."

"Yeah, he was. I have the habit of leaving no stone unturned. So, I went back and investigated everything. That's how I came to the conclusion."

Oliver was saying the half-truth. He didn't investigate anything. For the last few months, he was doing his own thing for the majority of the time.

The real investigation was done by Root alone.

Oliver just ordered Root to look into certain people and finally got more than he bargained for.

Supposedly, the youngmaster Chen fellow who threatened Leon with his sister's hospital fee was someone who was being manipulated by the demons.

Though when all the demons in Dragon City were slayed, the demon who was manipulating the youngmaster Chen also died, he still had the seeds of hatred planted inside him.

Any day, the damned bastard could do something in retaliation.

Oliver was prepared to handle that.

"The damned demons." Luna's eyes spat fire as she muttered it.

Oliver found it cute—not threatening at all.

"Showing the same expression in front of the demons is a no-go. They might think you are trying to seduce them, little lady." He said.

Luna blinked her eyes twice and calmed down.

Oliver was an unpredictable person. He shifts from being totally serious to unserious like a colour-changing chameleon.

She didn't know what to say.

She blankly stared at him, expecting him to continue.

As she thought, after saying that, Oliver continued to speak.

"Luna, don't be angry. I came here to give you ample opportunity to take revenge. But before that, you need to promise me two things."

"What?" Luna raised an eyebrow.

"You have to keep everything that happened today and everything I said a secret from everyone and join Blood Nemesis."

"What's a Blood Nemesis?"

"My super guild."

"Your guild?"

Oliver looked like someone who was barely older than her brother. Luna was sure he was younger than her. It was difficult to believe that this person had a guild.

"Why is it a super guild?" She asked.

The moment he heard the question, Oliver flipped his hair back and smiled like a thousand-watt bulb.

"Because of me. Anything I touch is superb."

Luna was appalled. She asked with some hesitation.

"Are you sure you're not one of the patients from the psych ward?"

The smile on Oliver's face dimmed into oblivion the moment she said that.

"You are not that cute…" he muttered under his breath, turning his face away to pout.

Luna realised her mistake and instantly apologised.

"I am sorry. I didn't mean that."

"But you said it."

"I was muddle-headed."

"If you say so…I will forgive you this time."

After that, the conversation continued. Somehow, Oliver convinced Luna to join his guild. At the same time, she also promised not to reveal the information Oliver shared.

When everything was said and done, he stealthily put back the sensors of the monitoring devices in the room onto Luna's hand and escaped out the window.

Moments later, Luna pressed the bell inside the room to call the nurses.

They were surprised to see Luna sitting up on the bed. They immediately informed Leon about the situation.

This made him rush into the hospital in glee.

According to the agreement between Luna and Oliver, she didn't share anything about Oliver.

Everyone believed Luna woke up miraculously and decided to end it there.

Meanwhile, as Oliver went back home, he thought about the final few words he spoke with Luna.

Just like Lin Hua, her abilities also evolved.

The sensory range of her had widened to 10km from 1km.

Or that's what was revealed to Oliver.

Oliver had an inkling that she was hiding something.

Perhaps she was also a genius that the demons wanted dead.
