Blood Demon's Awakening

Chapter 34: Jin Neung-mu's Last Stand

 The Thunder God's Descent

The massive courtyard of the Thunder Palace fell silent as the confrontation reached its peak. Jin-ho stood facing Jin Neung-mu, his body still trembling with rage from the revelation of Noe Jin-woon's true fate. The Blood Flame Cult's four elite members had positioned themselves strategically around the perimeter, ready to intercept any Thunder Palace disciples who might interfere.

"Sixty years..." Jin Neung-mu's voice carried across the courtyard, his eyes blazing with a mixture of fury and desperation. "Sixty years I spent nurturing that vessel, waiting for this moment!"

Lightning crackled around his aged form as he raised his hands toward the storm clouds gathering overhead. The very air seemed to vibrate with electrical energy as Jin Neung-mu began his ultimate technique.

"You think you can inherit what was meant for me?" he snarled, his silver hair whipping in the supernatural wind. "Thunder God Descent Technique - Heaven's Lightning Summoning!"

The Forbidden Art Revealed

The technique Jin Neung-mu unleashed was unlike anything Jin-ho had ever witnessed. Massive bolts of pure lightning descended from the heavens, not randomly, but with terrifying precision, all converging on Jin Neung-mu's body. His form began to glow with an otherworldly blue radiance as he absorbed the celestial power.

"This is the true inheritance of the Thunder Demon King!" Jin Neung-mu's voice boomed with amplified power. "A technique I've spent sixty years perfecting, waiting for the moment when Noe Jin-woon's power would transfer to me!"

The Thunder Palace disciples watching from the sidelines gasped in awe and terror. Even the opposition faction, who had secretly supported Jin-ho, couldn't hide their shock at witnessing this legendary technique.

Inside Jin-ho's mind, both demon spirits stirred uneasily.

『This old fool has some skill after all,』 the Blood Heaven Emperor admitted grudgingly. 『That technique... it temporarily grants him power approaching the divine realm.』

『It's a borrowed power,』 the Thunder Demon King responded with disdain. 『He's forcing heaven's lightning into his mortal body. It will destroy him eventually, but in the short term...』

"In the short term, I'm in serious trouble," Jin-ho muttered, feeling the overwhelming pressure emanating from Jin Neung-mu's transformed state.

Heaven's Thunder Prison

"Thunder Prison of Annihilation!" Jin Neung-mu roared, extending his arms wide.

Instantly, a cage of crackling lightning materialized around Jin-ho, the electric barriers so dense that they appeared almost solid. Each bar of the prison hummed with lethal energy, and Jin-ho could feel his skin tingling from the proximity to such concentrated power.

"You killed my disciple," Jin Neung-mu's voice echoed from all directions, distorted by the electrical interference. "You stole the power that rightfully belonged to me. And now, you dare to come to my domain seeking revenge?"

The lightning prison began to contract slowly, each second bringing the deadly barriers closer to Jin-ho's body. The heat was becoming unbearable, and the electrical field was interfering with his ability to channel both blood energy and lightning power.

"Noe Jin-woon was never your disciple," Jin-ho called out, his voice strained but defiant. "He was just a tool to you, wasn't he? A vessel you planned to harvest!"

The Truth Begins to Surface

Jin Neung-mu's expression flickered for just a moment - a crack in his mask of righteous fury.

"Tool? Vessel?" he laughed bitterly. "You understand nothing, boy. Everything I did was for the greater good of the Thunder Palace. Noe Jin-woon's sacrifice would have elevated our sect to unprecedented heights!"

"Sacrifice?" Jin-ho's eyes blazed with renewed anger. "You mean murder!"

The lightning prison continued its relentless contraction, now only arm's length away from Jin-ho on all sides. The situation was becoming desperate, and conventional techniques seemed useless against this divine-level power.

『Jin-ho,』 the Blood Heaven Emperor's voice carried an unusual urgency. 『We need to try something we've never attempted before.』

『I agree,』 added the Thunder Demon King. 『This old man's technique is formidable, but it has a fatal weakness - he's drawing power from external sources rather than internal mastery.』

"What do you mean?" Jin-ho asked, sweat beading on his forehead as the electrical heat intensified.

『Combine our powers completely,』 both demon spirits said in unison. 『Not just cooperation - true fusion. Blood and lightning as one.』

As the lightning prison closed in for what seemed like the final moment, Jin-ho made his choice. He closed his eyes and opened his heart completely to both demon spirits, breaking down the last barriers between their consciousness and his own.

Suddenly, a strange new energy began to flow through his body - neither pure blood energy nor pure lightning, but something entirely different. Something that pulsed with a deep crimson glow while crackling with electrical power.

"What..." Jin Neung-mu's confident expression began to waver as he sensed this new, unfamiliar energy signature.

Jin-ho's eyes snapped open, now glowing with an ominous red light shot through with streaks of gold lightning.

"Let me show you what real power looks like," he said quietly, his voice carrying an otherworldly resonance.

The lightning prison, which had seemed unbreakable moments before, began to crack and fracture as waves of blood-red lightning erupted from Jin-ho's body.
