Bleach: The Unique Time Zanpakutō

Chapter 19: BUTZ: Chapter 19

Creak, creak!

Kyōraku Callum moved swiftly across rooftops. A faint sound drifted up from below.

He looked down and saw a lost soul, eyes vacant, hope extinguished—a disheveled middle-aged man wandering aimlessly through the streets.

Kyōraku Callum was efficient in dealing with such lost souls. He vanished with Shunpo, reappearing before the man in an instant.

Before the man could speak, Kyōraku Callum pressed the hilt of his asauchi to his forehead.

A pale white light appeared, and the kanji for "soul" was imprinted on his forehead. The man was then sent to Soul Society.

At that moment, a familiar sound echoed in Kyōraku Callum's ears—the system notification.

[Ding! New check-in task released. Please check in at the Urahara Shop and achieve Zanpakutō Shikai (initial release)!]

[Task Reward: Hakuda Mastery!]

A smile touched Kyōraku Callum's lips.

"Finally, a new task," he murmured.

Since completing the Kidō class check-in, he hadn't received a new task, forcing him to rely solely on his training to improve. Fortunately, his talent was exceptional, and his strength continued to grow.

"But this task…" Kyōraku Callum stared at the notification, lost in thought.

"Am I supposed to achieve Shikai at the Urahara Shop? That seems incredibly rude."

He quickly dismissed the thought. "Anything for strength!"

Kyōraku Callum continued searching for the Urahara Shop, performing Soul Burials whenever he encountered lost souls.

Wandering lost souls were a threat to the human world.

He only had a vague idea of the shop's location. Finding it based on that alone would be difficult, especially since Kisuke Urahara, for the safety of himself and others, had placed concealing barriers around it.

"Looks like I'll have to use other means," Kyōraku Callum muttered, extending his spiritual sense to detect the flow of reishi.

"Seven o'clock direction… seems like a Shinigami and Hollow are fighting."

The moment he finished speaking, he vanished. With a surge of spiritual pressure, he activated Shunpo at full speed.

He arrived at the scene to find the battle heavily one-sided.

A group of Shinigami Academy seniors were struggling against a Hollow resembling a giant gorilla. A gaping hole was in its chest; its massive arms swung wildly, creating powerful shockwaves.

The seniors, lacking strength, could only barely evade its attacks.

From Kyōraku Callum's perspective, the seniors' skills were abysmal—crude Zanjutsu and sluggish Shunpo.

Their survival up to this point was a miracle.

"Excuse me, senpai," Kyōraku Callum called out. "Need assistance?"

Unlike Kyōraku Shunsui's tendency to interfere, Kyōraku Callum preferred to respect his opponents and teammates during battles.

The senior, overjoyed at the arrival of help, eagerly replied, "Please, don't hold back! Thank you so much!"

Kyōraku Callum raised an eyebrow.

The senior was surprisingly polite, even while on the verge of death.

Kyōraku Callum never hesitated to help such individuals.

"Bakudō #9: Geki!"

Kyōraku Callum extended his hand, red incantations appearing on his palm.

Spiritual pressure gathered, and as he finished the incantation, the spell shot towards the Hollow.

The Hollow didn't seem to take the Bakudō seriously. It raised its massive hand to swat the red beam away.

"I'll handle this," Kyōraku Callum said calmly, approaching the senior. "You can go find Lieutenant Iseh for help."

Before he finished, the red beam, with uncanny precision, dodged the Hollow's attack and wrapped around its thick throat!

"ROAR!"

A roar of fear erupted from the Hollow as it clawed frantically at its neck, trying to break free. It was futile.

The senior instantly recognized Kyōraku Callum—the Kyōraku family crest was unmistakable.

Legend had it that this exceptional student had deep ties to the 8th Division Captain.

This eased the senior's concerns about the strength disparity.

"Thank you," the senior said again before quickly leaving the battlefield.

Kyōraku Callum noted the senior's departure and then turned his attention to the struggling Hollow.

"One helper isn't enough," he muttered.

He continued searching for Hollows; they were far easier to find than the Urahara Shop.

He repeated the process, creating several more unwilling helpers, significantly increasing his efficiency.

Kyōraku Callum sat atop a tall building, sensing the response from the Bakudō.

Time passed. When he sensed multiple Bakudō vanishing at the same location, a smile touched his lips.

"Found you, Kisuke Urahara!"
