Chapter 2: ch.2 Noon is a menance
You ever wake up and just know something is off?
That was me today.
The sun was climbing toward its peak, and I felt… weird. My tiny four-year-old body felt heavier, but not in a bad way. It was like every muscle had been supercharged overnight. My skin felt warm, my magic thrummed in my veins, and for some reason… I was way too confident.
A dangerous level of confidence.
I turned to my father, who was outside doing push-ups. "Old man, fight me."
Darius Solhart, a former knight and a very understanding father, slowly turned to his four-year-old son. The child, normally full of nervous energy, now stood tall and unwavering, radiating golden light. His voice had taken on an unnatural depth, as if he were challenging fate itself.
Lady Solhart, peeking from the window, paled. "Oh no… it's happening."
Darius, however, grinned.
"Alright, son," he said, cracking his knuckles. "Let's see what you've got."
Was this a bad idea? Probably.
Was I going to do it anyway? Absolutely.
The second my father stepped forward, my body moved on its own. My mana flared as I dashed toward him, my tiny fists glowing like miniature suns.
I punched him straight in the stomach.
There was a loud boom.
A nearby tree shook from the force. Birds scattered in fear. The ground cracked slightly beneath Elios' feet.
Darius, a grown man built like a fortress, was sent skidding back several feet. He barely caught himself, staring down at his son with wide eyes.
"…Huh."
Lady Solhart screamed from the house. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"
Elios blinked. "Oh."
…So apparently, Noon Phase turns me into an absolute monster.
I looked down at my hands. My small fingers sizzled with energy, and the weight in my limbs was gone. Instead, I felt unstoppable. Like I could punch a hole through a mountain.
I liked it.
Darius coughed and dusted off his shirt. Then, with a grin that sent chills down my spine, he cracked his neck.
"Not bad, son," he said. "My turn."
In less than a second, Darius vanished.
Elios had exactly half a second to react before a massive hand landed on his head, ruffling his hair aggressively.
"You've got talent, kid," Darius said, grinning.
Elios scowled. "Wait, that's it? No epic counterattack?"
Darius shrugged. "You're four."
Elios fumed. "I DEMAND A REMATCH."
Lady Solhart dragged her hands down her face. "I cannot do this today."

Later That Day…
Turns out, Noon Mode has a catch.
After about five minutes of feeling like a god, my mana reserves plummeted so fast I nearly passed out. I went from unstoppable warrior to sleepy toddler in record time.
I barely made it inside before face-planting onto the couch.
"…Mom," I mumbled, voice muffled by a pillow. "I think my magic is trying to kill me."
Mom sighed, placing a blanket over me. "Then maybe stop picking fights with your father at four years old?"
I groaned. "Can't help it. The sun makes me cocky."
Darius chuckled from the kitchen. "That's my boy."
Mom threw a spoon at him.
As Elios drifted off to sleep, his body dimmed, the golden glow fading. Noon had passed, and with it, the overwhelming surge of power.
Lady Solhart watched her son, shaking her head. "He's going to be a menace to society when he grows up."
Darius grinned. "More like unbeatable
A beat of silence.
Then, from the couch, a sleepy mumble.
"…I like unbeatable
Lady Solhart groaned.
