Sebas Aren - Rolling in Money and Debt (Chapter 16)
Adam stood above them laying Sebas, staring at him while Sebas slowly opened his eyes.
“You passed out,” Adam said.
Leaning upright wearily, Sebas asked Adam, “Why did you lay my head in your lap.”
“Because you always look out for the bros.”
“If I wasn’t exhausted, I would break your head open,” Sebas said, holding a hand over his eyes; an attempt at preventing a migraine that began to split his head open, “Status report.”
“Status report?” Adam asked quizzically.
“What’s the loot, what’s the status, what’s “good” Adam.”
“Well… I got… eighth horns and pelts in your bag, I was able to turn them all into drops, along with… two pairs of two-horn horns and two pelts, and the three-horn horns are here, but there’s no pelt.”
“Why?”
“Well, I would say I dunno, but!,” Adam says before he tosses something to Sebas.” We got a necklace!”
“Necklace,” he said, revealing his eyes to the blaring light within the dungeon, holding a golden string necklace with a rabbit’s foot on the end.

“Well, that’s curious… you did say we got the horns right?”
He held three horns in his hands, showing the massive cream-colored cones of rabbit keratin. Sebas took one from him, and the massive horn took up his entire hand, about the size of a mug.
“Well I’ll be damned, these are massive.”
“The two horns are pretty big too!”
“Yeah, but I needed these.”
“Oh? Why do you need some dinky ass horns?”
Taken aback by Adam’s sudden statement, he looked over at the boy, and said, “A Weapon.”
“Can we get me one?” Adam asks excitedly.
“Well… maybe in a few days. I don’t want to do something like that again.”
“But I gotta reach level ten fast so I can release my seal and become the ultimate knight!”
“Oh yeah you leveled up, didn’t you… you should have a lot of free stats.”

“It’s already starting.” he thought.
“Yes, it says I have 15 of them!”
“I’ll teach you what to do, we just need to go back to the fort,” Sebas said, standing to his feet a wave of nausea rolled into his stomach, sweat glistening on his skin as his face reddened.
Eventually, he succumbed to the vertigo, projectile vomiting a mixture of meat, blood, and bile, and passed out directly in the grass.
Awoken with a jolt as his body begins to throb, an unnatural stiffness follows his movement, as if steel weights have been placed on his body. Hundreds of thorns stab through his body, a thousand needles feel as if they are stuck within his arms, and looking at his arms, several dozen scars envelop most of his arms.
An empty loot sack sits at his feet, while his coin purse still sits at 17 silver and 15 copper.

Failing to properly get up, Sebas sat upright, his legs appearing to be fine but refusing to move with him. Dull pain can be felt as he attempts to move his body, a voice yells at him from outside the tent.
“Quit trying to move, you’re going to lose your ability to walk if you don’t rest.” A blonde female with red eyes says to him, an opulent robe decorates her body, while a massive rosary with a sword and a laurel made of gold and an iron rank plate adorns her chest.
“Don’t tell me the idiot left me, went all the way to the church, and then went hunting after,” Sebas says grumpily.
“Not quite, the idiot found me; not the church.” The stranger said.
“So who the fuck are you.”
“Kessia Winter, Cleric level twelve.”
“Gods.”
“Any chance you’re Sebas Aren?”
“Nope. Not a chance.”
“You owe the church 5 gold Sebas.”
“Fuck you, you shouldn’t be hosting a charity if you aren’t charitable.” Sebas growls.
The strange woman closes her eyes and shakes her head, “The church of Niorr will wait, they will continue to wait, just make sure you pay back your debt: I will heal you now, please stay still.”
“I don’t need your filthy fucking healing, Niorr can kiss my ass.”
“The Goddess of Mercy accepts all, even those who do not accept her Sebas.”
“Don’t know her personally, but loaning gold coins to noble children isn’t a very merciful thing to do,” Sebas said while trying to get upright, his legs threatened to buckle down from beneath his weight.
A golden light flashed in the air, and motes of yellow orbs flowed around the unsteady boy.

[Notice: You have failed to resist Midheal]
The discs within his spine had been dislodged by the horned rabbit, along the several dozens of scars from rabbit punctures seemingly cleared up, healing fully to their optimal position within seconds.
“Niorr is merciful.”
“Blow it out…” Sebas began until the priest-type individual left his care. Sulking, the boy left his tent, his joints popping whilst he stretched, his legs no longer shook: he looked around the slums-like tent forest.
Across from his tent were twenty-nine others, to his left were the merchant stalls, and to his right were the bathhouses. While straight ahead the exit from the fort was open wide, the guild worker was directly next to the entrance’s booth.
Looking out into the fields of grass, Adam is seen fighting a horned rabbit, and the boy throws the beast upwards into the air only to eviscerate it with a [Triple-Slash]. The bloody corpse splashed the boy with blood, only to burn into blue flames afterward.
“Having fun?” Sebas yelled from the fort.
Adam looked over, surprised, and smiled, “You passed out like a loser,” he said, chuckling.
“Maybe I ought to break your skull since you lost your mind, we can put it back in after we find it,” Sebas said, cracking his knuckles and walking towards the cheeky young man.
Adam, with a giant black eye, began to materialize objects from his storage. The three large cream-colored horns, along with several dozen pelts and smaller black horns, haunches of meat that were wrapped within leaves, and a couple of magic stones were dumped inside Sebas’ loot sack, filling it about 75% full.
“Damn Adam, you’ve been busy…” Sebas said, greed practically manifesting in a grin.
“You’ve been asleep for about a day, I feel like you would have been upset if you didn’t get more money.”
“Why do- a fucking day?… shit.”
“A day and… 2 hours!”
“How do you know how long it’s been?” Sebas asks.
“The notification lady says it’s been 26 hours since I got my stats,” the boy said.
“Oh.”
“Now I can put the last one in charisma, just like the rest of my points!”
“Adam you didn’t.”
Adam takes his pointer finger and thumb, holding it up to his chin, making a strange gesture with his face.
“You’re an idiot.”
“I will get a girl though, a very pretty, hopefully elven girl.”
“What’s wrong with you, like this hasn’t been a one-time thing, why are you…,” he gestures at Adam,” girl crazy?”
“Girls are pretty.”
“You are probably hopeless, give me my knife.”
“Do you want the necklace that dropped? I got a pair of boots from one of the double-horned rabbits.”
Sebas thought momentarily, and nodded, “It’s strange you can get items, usually they have to be found in chests as far as I know.”
“Chests?”
“Little boxes spawn every couple of months, but I haven’t seen one.”
“Oh! Cool, I didn’t know that was a thing.”
“The dungeons make a lot of weird things like that, try reading books.”

“I just got a strange notification…” Adam said.

Adam slams his hands over his ears, screaming as his system’s notifications flood his mind.
“Hey! Look at that, I’m being rewarded for harming you.”
“That’s not nice!”
Snickering, Sebas offers a hand to his friend, pulling him upright with ease.

“Come on, give me my stuff, we got distracted, you can keep fighting or join me.”
Adam appeared to have something distracting him, “I’ll keep fighting, I got some gains to gain.”
“Alright, just don’t shove all of your stats in a worthless stat like charisma.”
“Yessir.” He said, a lame salute happening.

“I can give you 10 copper for every horn, 20 for each pelt, and 5 silver for each stone, if you don’t like it, get the hell outta here.”
“Mister,” Sebas began to
“Nothing will make me allow it to raise any further kid, you’ve practically cleared out my money, especially until the blacksmiths or production classes process any of this.”
“Mister… these are … premium… look-see? A whole rabbit horn, you could split it into 4 and probably sell each arrow for 10 copper… all I ask is a fair price…”
The merchant began to appear in thought, about to say a price, before Sebas said.
“I’ll just give you, each one for twelve, that sounds good?”
“Well…” the merchant thought, “I could do twelve, but these mana stones aren’t going higher.”
“Surely, this will be a profitable endeavor, since you can afford 12, you can afford 24 for the pelts, right mister? You are giving me more than half of what we sold them last time, but I’m aware that you’re very busy and can’t deal with such a thing right now.” Sebas said with a fake smile.
“Sure, let me just get the money out.”
“30 for each drumstick.”
“Are you out of your goddamn mind? Why would I ever agree to that?”
“You’re right sir… just 20 will do. I apologize.”
“This fucking brat.” The man sighed and agreed to the deal.
Sebas smiled wickedly within his mind, not letting the pure emotion run wild from selling that much.

“Thanks a ton, boss! Your money is in good hands.” Sebas said before running off to the repair smith.
