Chapter 125: Tiger Strength Pill, Setting Off for the Mulan Empire

In the spacious living room, Frank and Xue Mei welcomed Mo Yu and the others inside.

"Hehe, Frank, you should really thank me today. Otherwise, your guest would have been turned away at the door," Master Otto joked as he entered.

Hearing this, Frank seemed to guess what had happened. He handed Mo Yu a cup of tea and apologized, "I'm sorry, Mo Yu. I thought the Ye family would inform me before you arrived. I didn't expect you to come alone."

"It's not like that. He's just pretending to be my partner to find a reason for the annulment. Don't talk nonsense," Xue Mei said, her cheeks flushing slightly.

"Didn't you say before that no one in Black Rock City's younger generation could surpass you? Well, someone has now appeared. I remember you said something like…," Xue Mei teased with a sly smile, her eyes gleaming mischievously.

"Sorry, but he's not from Black Rock City. Besides, I was talking about surpassing me in alchemy," Ling Fei replied, her expression momentarily stiffening. Then, with a clever smile, she retorted, "Well played…"

Ling Fei huffed lightly, brushing a strand of hair from her forehead. "But with his talent and crafting skills, you'd make a great match. Even though your master is one of the top figures in Black Rock City, think about how powerful his teacher must be to have trained such an exceptional student."

"I'm not interested in men at the moment. If you like him, you can go ahead. After all, Master Otto is just as famous as my teacher, and your father is the city lord of Black Rock City," Xue Mei replied with a calm smile, though her words made Ling Fei grit her teeth.

"Really? If I make a move, you won't compete with me, right? Such an outstanding man is rare in the entire Jia Ma Empire," Ling Fei said with a playful smile.

As the two girls bantered, Qing Lin quietly listened and seemed to grasp the purpose of Mo Yu's journey from their conversation.

Clenching her small hands, Qing Lin glanced at Mo Yu and thought to herself, Master won't be interested in you. I'll always be by his side.

Meanwhile, after some small talk, Frank asked Mo Yu about his destination, the Mulan Empire. Upon learning that Mo Yu was not only skilled in crafting but also somewhat knowledgeable in alchemy, Frank inquired, "Mo Yu, how long do you plan to stay in the Mulan Empire?"

"Maybe six months," Mo Yu replied.

"Six months, huh..." Otto mused, tapping his fingers on the table. "After six months, do you plan to visit the capital of the Jia Ma Empire?"

"The capital?" Mo Yu was slightly taken aback, but then he remembered Xiao Yan's three-year agreement and replied, "If everything goes well, I should go there."

"Hehe," Otto chuckled softly. "In six months, the Alchemist Conference will be held in the capital. If you have some free time, you should check it out. And if you're confident in your alchemy skills, you might want to participate. It could be very beneficial for you."

"The Alchemist Conference?" Mo Yu recalled something from his memory. Unfortunately, there was no equivalent event for craftsmen on the Dou Qi Continent, which would have been more up his alley.

Seeing this, Mo Yu frowned slightly. With one lively maid already at his side and the already beautiful Xue Mei accompanying him, adding Lin Fei to the mix made him realize just how much attention they would draw during their journey.

With Lin Fei's excited cheers, they left the Alchemist Guild and made their way to the Flying Transport Agency located in the city center.

Although Mo Yu could have used Zi Huo as a substitute for a flying beast, since they were crossing borders, it was safer to travel with a professional flying team. Otherwise, being mistaken for an invader would be difficult to explain.

After navigating a few unfamiliar streets, they finally arrived at the Flying Transport Agency, a large square filled with several massive bird-like creatures. These creatures were called Thick-Winged Birds. Although they weren't magical beasts, they were naturally docile and easy to tame, making them ideal for transportation. However, due to their rarity, only empires could afford to maintain such flying transport teams.

While the Thick-Winged Birds weren't as fast as other flying magical beasts, they had exceptional endurance. After a single meal, they could fly steadily for four to five days straight. Additionally, these birds had impressive carrying capacities, able to easily transport loads five to six times their body weight over long distances.

However, each Thick-Winged Bird had a long line of people waiting beside it, and a uniformed attendant could be seen collecting tickets near the boarding ladder.

Seeing the long lines, Mo Yu frowned, realizing it would take a while to buy tickets.

Noticing this, Lin Fei patted her chest confidently and said, "Leave it to me."

Without waiting for Mo Yu to respond, she headed toward the ticket office.

"Lin Fei's father is the city lord of Black Rock City, so she knows many people," Xue Mei explained.

Mo Yu nodded, not surprised by this information.

Xue Mei was momentarily taken aback by Mo Yu's indifferent reaction. Throughout their journey, whether it was toward her or Lin Fei, Mo Yu had remained calm and reserved, only showing warmth and humor when interacting with his maid, Qing Lin.

Although Xue Mei hadn't developed any romantic feelings for Mo Yu, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of pride as a woman. She and Lin Fei were both confident in their superior status and appearance compared to Qing Lin, yet Mo Yu seemed indifferent, treating his maid with more affection than he did them. This left her feeling slightly dissatisfied.

Unaware of Xue Mei's thoughts, Mo Yu watched as Lin Fei approached the ticket office. After speaking with one of the clerks, she was quickly greeted by a manager who hurried over to assist her.

The manager was extremely respectful and quickly produced several tickets from his pouch under Lin Fei's impatient gaze.

With the tickets in hand, Lin Fei waved dismissively at the manager before returning to the group.

"Here you go. These tickets are for a Grade 1 magical beast, the Giant Nyau Bird. It flies much faster than the Thick-Winged Birds," Lin Fei said proudly, raising her chin slightly.

Taking the tickets, made from the fur of this special beast, Mo Yu couldn't help but marvel at how similar the commercial aspects of the Dou Qi Continent were to his previous life.

"Thank you, Miss Lin Fei. Let's go," Mo Yu said, patting Qing Lin on the head with a smile.

Following a ticketing attendant, they walked down a corridor and eventually arrived at a large bird that was only slightly smaller than the Thick-Winged Birds.

Surveying the beast, Mo Yu noted that it appeared to be a Grade 1 magical beast. He could feel the wind attribute energy flowing around it, indicating that it was a wind-type flying beast, known for its speed.

On the back of the beast was a structure made of a special lightweight and sturdy wood, though it was somewhat rare. Inside the structure were several small rooms, some of which were already occupied.

As they entered, Mo Yu noticed the attention Qing Lin and the other two girls attracted due to their beauty, causing several people to stare and even prompting some to audibly swallow.

Fortunately, Xue Mei and Lin Fei's statuses were intimidating enough to deter anyone from causing trouble.

Following the numbers on their tickets, the four of them found their respective rooms.

Qing Lin, following Mo Yu's instructions, went to her room to rest, as he didn't need her assistance.

After a few moments, the giant flying beast's wings began to stir, and wisps of wind attribute energy swirled around it, lifting its massive body into the sky.

With a loud screech, the beast, under the command of its handler, soared into the sky, swiftly heading toward the Mulan Empire.

Sitting by the window in his room, Mo Yu watched the clouds pass by, and the words "airplane" suddenly came to mind, bringing a wry smile to his face as he shook off the thought.

The journey from Xihuang City to Black Rock City was quite a distance. Even at this beast's speed, it would take at least three days to reach their destination.

Settling onto the bed, Mo Yu took out the Tiger Strength Pill, deciding to use the time to increase his strength.
