Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 219: Successor of Eternity

After prophet announced Daniel as his successor, a thunderous roar echoed across the sky.

A dragon-like phantom appeared above the church and began to circle it.

All the pilgrims and followers who were sitting outside the church panicked when they saw the dragon phantom. They wanted to get up and run.

However, the Prophet's voice suddenly echoed in their minds, calming them down.

After the phantom completed nine full circles around the church, it entered the building.

"My god, what is that?"

"That... that's a dragon! A dragon!"

"Why is a dragon here?"

"Look more closely! It looks like it's just a phantom!"

To everyone, dragons were synonymous with mythical beings — the most powerful and unquestioned rulers of the world, second only to the gods.

And now they were seeing one. Of course they were terrified — and also filled with excitement.

However, there were only five people present who knew the true identity of the dragon — the three Paragons, the Saint, and of course, the Prophet himself.

All three Paragons clenched their teeth hard when they saw the dragon. They wanted to curse the heavens, but they knew it would be pointless.

The appearance of this dragon meant that the Prophet had made his final decision.

The phantom dragon flew toward Daniel. For a moment, he froze, unsure of what to do, but the Prophet established a mental link with him and told him there was no need to worry.

The dragon entered his body, and suddenly golden markings appeared all over him.

There was no pain. In fact, he suddenly felt a strange sense of calm.

For a moment, Daniel felt his power surge — not just his own, but even his fallen ones became noticeably stronger.

"I've reached peak Rank C," his eyes trembled with joy. He hadn't expected such a wonderful surprise.

More importantly, he realized what that phantom dragon really was — it was the manifestation of the Fate and Luck of the entire Eternal Faith, now absorbed into him. Which meant, in every sense, that he was now officially the leader of the Eternal Faith.

The followers and pilgrims looked at him. When they looked at Daniel, it felt like they were looking at the Prophet himself, and something deep inside urged them to kneel.

However, the Prophet suddenly spoke again, drawing everyone's attention back to him.

"My work here is done. Thank you, my dear children, for coming today. The time of my Ascension has come. Before I go, I want to say my final words."

"Stand together and spread our belief. Avoid conflict unless it is truly necessary. And lastly, there is no difference among you — all of you are my children," the Prophet said gently.

He then looked at his own body, which was slowly breaking apart into pieces of light.

The sky thundered again — but this time it was far more terrifying.

The sky literally split in half. Everyone outside the church was paralyzed with fear, unable to even look up.

They had never seen anything so terrifying in their lives. The sky had split in two — it looked like the world was ending.

Yet, at the same time, they instinctively understood what was happening. All the followers of the faith, both inside and outside the church, dropped to their knees.

They all knelt before the Prophet one last time, paying their respects.

The final pieces of the Prophet's body turned into light and rose toward the split sky.

The fragments of light passed through into the other side of the world, and after a few moments — with one last roar — the sky returned to normal.

"The Prophet has finally ascended," the whispers passed among the followers as they raised their heads.

The Prophet was gone. His seat was completely empty.

For a moment, they all felt a deep void and sorrow in their hearts. The Prophet was gone, and it felt like the light that had guided them through the darkness was lost.

The Paragons looked at the confused, grieving, and frightened followers and wanted to say something.

But how could Daniel pass up such a golden opportunity?

"There is no need to be sad. Our Prophet has ascended and gone to live with the great god Horvand in the realm of the gods. Instead of grieving, we should be happy for him," his commanding voice echoed.

Of course, he didn't just use his voice. He drew on eternal energy to boost its impact and comfort the people — and at the same time, he activated [Enchanter of Hearts] to align their emotions with his own.

Although the Flower of Eternity is currently too weak for combat, it was enough to enhance his voice a bit.

Everyone turned to look at him. The more they looked at Daniel, the more they felt like he truly was a weaker version of the Prophet.

They even started to feel that he was perfectly suited for leadership.

"The Prophet is gone, but he left behind a great responsibility — not just for me, but for all of us. He asked us to stand together and spread our faith across the world. To make the Eternal Faith the greatest religion of all," Daniel said softly, yet with inspiration in his tone.

Their hearts began to beat faster. Excitement shone in their eyes.

Wasn't this exactly what they had all hoped for — to make their faith the greatest in the world?

"Glory to the Great Lord!" someone shouted, and soon all the others dropped to their knees before Daniel without hesitation.

Seeing everyone kneel made him smile. It hadn't been too hard to win their obedience.

First, he had been chosen by the Prophet himself. Second, the story the Prophet told them before leaving helped him immensely. And with the help of [Enchanter of Hearts], plus setting a clear goal for his rule, they submitted to him.

Of course, he wasn't foolish enough to believe that everyone had truly submitted — especially not the Paragons. He glanced at them.

Even though they had kneeled with the crowd, Daniel could sense a darkness in their eyes.
