Chapter 165: Untitled
"Fucking hell!!"
A man with scattered red hair and dirt all over his face looked forwards with a look of dread and frustration.
Before him was a young man, not even the age of his youngest son, not only was he stronger than him in terms of power, he was much more experienced, but dispite this he was losing to him terribly.
'There's only one person in this city that can achieve such a feat.'
Seriously, fighting an S rank while not being an S rank ones self was virtually impossible. The city was littered with slayers with different aspects at different levels, but even with this it was still a very difficult task to accomplish.
"Kid, I'm here to help!!"
While the two stared each other down, another silhouette jumped from the side of the building from out of nowhere and drop kicked the S rank, throwing him to the ground directly.
"Let's move!!" He didn't wait to see what damage he had achieved, he rather quickly grabbed Guilliman by the arm and dragged him off the roof top, 'rescuing' him.
"Ahh" Guilliman was a bit taken aback, but eventually he shook his head and smiled bitterly.
The fight was going pretty well in his book, though he was slightly losing, this was after all an S rank, he didn't think Eric would come back out of the blue and try to rescue him.
"Hehe, oh well" Guilliman snapped his fingers and caused his armament spear to fly towards him as himself and Eric flew out of the area.
While they rushed away, a figure silently rose to the building top and watched the run away.
"This…..should I be worried?" He thought to himself.
Eric was a big troublemaker, but could he realistically tell him to stay away from Guilliman? This was a good thing after all. Having his son close to such a monster….maybe he would become a monster himself.
"Whatever" he sighed as he slowly landed on the rooftop and picked up a metal plate that shone with a gray light.
Eric had dropped what he stole as a way to appease him.
That kid was as cunning as ever.
Meanwhile,
"This is where you live?" Atop a moving carried the size of a small building, Guilliman looked down at the everyday citizen in bewilderment.
This structure was not only massive, it was very scary having the likeness of a monster, but those around merely watched it move without a feeling of fear or urgency.
"Yes, you could say that. I won it off a bandit group west of kong shi, it was a pretty good steal" Eric commented with a smile.
Most of his brothers had impressive bases of operations all over the city. He was the only one stuck finding his way around these days, his renewed license was meant to change things though, but seeing that he just got into a fight with his father….well things were more complicated and difficult now.
"Hmmm, you're doing pretty well for yourself. I currently don't have a home" Guilliman muttered.
To be honest, he hadn't had a real home since coming to this world. He was either staying with friends or leaving the wilderness back in the desert. A place to truly call home sounded nice.
"Hehe, what can I say" Eric smirked bitterly with some pride written on his face.
I'm actuality, he didn't believe what guilliman just said. He saw the fight with his father, this kid was no small fry, he was realms ahead of him in power, in fact in the entire city there was only one person that could achieve what he just did. And even that person was capped at A.
This kid was a seriously monsterous talent.
"Your father, he's quite strong . You should be staying somewhere more dignified, what's up with that?" Guilliman asked trying to understand.
He had actually gotten into a fight with an S ranked without knowing the context of the entire situation. It was Eric's fault of course and he still wanted answers.
"Ehn prodigal son? I don't know we've never really had a good relationship" Eric smiled bitterly a bit embarrassed by the question.
His father was the none interventionist type of parent, he let them all do what they liked and whomever was competent enough earn his favor. This made most of them to try their very best to get his attention, pulling stunts seeking glory, all for him.
As for Eric? He simply did not care. When he became a slayer, he rounded up a group of rowdy adventurers and left king shi to adventure. He barely participated in family issues and drama until he came back home from his expeditions.
At that time there was a seat open for torch bearer of the faction and they wanted him there. Eric of course did not go. This made his father take interest in him.
An interest he did not want.
"Ohhh, same same" Guilliman nodded. He also had a father like that, though the old man did sacrifice himself for him in the last moments, for most of his life he was just another person he knew of.
"hey, that's great!!" Eric smacked Guilliman by the back with a radiant smile on his face.
Of course, this wasn't great. They had a disfunctional relationship with their fathers, what was great about that?
"Hehehe, take a left through there"
Soon enough they road towards old town, that was the estate the old merchant stayed. It was luxurious but that was about it. Only the rich stayed there and in kong shi money without power was as weightless and actually paper.
"I thought you said you're new to kong shi? How are you staying in old town" as the moved deeper into the estate, Eric asked with a raised eyebrow.
Was Guilliman some Rich tycoon from outside king shi?
"I'm just lucky" Guilliman responded with a smile as the slowly approached the old merchants mansion in their contraption.
