Chapter 529: CHAPTER 529 - All Must Bow to the King of Death and Life!

As the army of souls roared in unison, the deafening sound waves swept through the entire domain of the dead.

A thousand years ago, the ancient continent of Valoran was a perilous land, ravaged by the Darkin Wars. Humanity, clinging to survival, had yet to reclaim its former dominance. Dragons rampaged unchecked, while malevolent entities from spiritual realms emerged, plunging humanity into unprecedented calamity.

Yet Mordekaiser, in his second resurrection, conquered all forces that stood in his way with an unstoppable momentum—not just humanity, but even beings that transcended mortal limitations. From soaring dragons and twin-winged avian beasts towering ten meters high to ancient mammoths and iceborne behemoths the size of mountains, and even colossal sea monsters hundreds of meters long from the deep—none escaped his wrath.

"Let the living weep and shed their flesh; all will belong to me!" Mordekaiser intoned in Ochnun, an unutterable incantation, raising his spiked mace high overhead.

In an instant, Nightfall's ghostly green light illuminated the space, granting him complete control over the undead warriors and imbuing them with powerful magical enhancements.

Mordekaiser's mastery of magic was chaotic and eclectic, blending material, spiritual, and netherworldly energies, alongside curses lost to antiquity. He had long since reshaped Mitna-Rachen into his domain, molding it to his will.

Here, even the divine warriors immune to most magic found their powers restricted—after all, this was not the material realm. Without the radiance of the Sun Disc, their strength was diminished.

The first to strike was Azir. The sands of the dead domain, corrupted by necromantic magic, were beyond his control.

Undeterred, he raised his spear-tipped scepter, using celestial magic to transform the grains into golden sand warriors and ethereal beasts. Though far outnumbered by Mordekaiser's undead horde, each construct, forged entirely of magic, was strong enough to face dozens of undead soldiers.

The clash of the sand legion and the undead army echoed across the battlefield. Nasus invoked his divine form, combining his withering spell with the curses of the celestial realm, supported by Varus. With each fully drawn arrow, the archer pierced through dozens of undead.

The winged sisters joined forces, unleashing celestial magic to purge evil. Atreus leapt into the fray from the heavens, his might akin to a falling star, cutting through the undead horde's ranks. Taarosh and Naganeka flanked him, severing the army's reinforcements at its core.

Watching his carefully amassed army of a million undead fall apart under the assault of Ascended warriors and celestial hosts, Mordekaiser seethed with rage.

From thin air, he summoned an ancient tome marked by three ghostly green claw marks. His armored hand hovered over its cover, releasing a destructive aura that struck terror into all who witnessed it.

"To dust, to ashes, to endless torment!" The words of the death incantation erupted from his lips, and the tome unleashed an apocalyptic burst of energy.

Sensing the danger, Morgana quickly shielded Atreus, Taarosh, and Naganeka with her dark barriers, while Kayle, with her holy sword, raised a radiant golden wall at the battlefield's edge.

The destructive magic clashed violently with celestial power, annihilating everything in its path—both the sands and the undead soldiers—leaving a vast, barren swath of land.

This was only the first wave of magic unleashed by Mordekaiser's Doom Codex.

Seizing the momentary lull in his spellcasting, Aatrox and Rhaast exchanged a glance. Their forms swelled to hundreds of meters as they channeled their Ascended might, hurtling toward the armored titan.

But before they could reach him, Mordekaiser summoned two colossal, forbidden death statues. Empowered by the realm of the dead, their auras rivaled those of Ascended warriors.

The statues, armed with massive swords and shields, engaged Aatrox and Rhaast. While not as powerful as the Ascended, their defense was formidable, bolstered by magic that slowed their foes and cursed their attacks. Aatrox and Rhaast found themselves locked in a grueling stalemate.

Facing the full might of these divine opponents, Mordekaiser dared not lower his guard. The material realm had undergone strange changes, bringing this coalition of Ascended and celestial hosts into his domain. Yet, he viewed this not as an obstacle, but as a test—a prelude to his conquest of the living world.

Planting Nightfall into the rotting spine of a giant undead dragon, Mordekaiser raised his left hand to channel destructive spells from the Doom Codex.

With a wave of his right hand, he summoned bizarre, ominous artifacts from hidden dimensions—treasures he had spent millennia collecting for his return to the living world.

If he could destroy these intruders here, in his domain, he would become unstoppable in the realm of the living.

But as Mordekaiser prepared his next incantation, a mechanical dragon's roar shattered the air, disrupting his spell. Moments later, new entities appeared in the realm of the dead—mechanical beings, their energy signatures rivaling divine warriors.

Through spatial manipulation, AI-driven systems had transported an army of war machines into the battlefield.

Massive battle mechs and swarms of aerial drones descended upon the undead army, unleashing overwhelming firepower.

The undead, including those bolstered by necromantic magic, fell effortlessly to the onslaught. Layers of defensive barriers formed around the machines, absorbing necrotic dragon breath and hostile magic alike.

In an instant, radiant beams of energy scoured the battlefield. Even the mightiest undead dragons disintegrated under the barrage.

"What is this…?" Mordekaiser stood stunned, unable to comprehend the sudden reversal. Before he could react, his army was reduced to remnants, and the firelight of battle crept toward his Immortal Bastion.

Another mechanical roar echoed, followed by the searing beam of a gamma cannon. The main turret of the Mechagod Dragon unleashed its attack, obliterating Mordekaiser's black iron armor and spiked mace. Yet, his spirit persisted, untouched by the devastating strike.

As expected, Mordekaiser's soul, cloaked in green flames of fury, reemerged on the battlefield.

"All things shall die. All things are mine… My will shall bind steel once more!"

With a flash, he appeared atop the Immortal Bastion, which now resembled anything but a fortress. The central hall transformed into the core of a colossal construct. As the earth split, and steel barriers encased its form, a titan of magic and machinery, nearly 400 meters tall, rose from the cracks.

Infused with Mordekaiser's soul, the giant siphoned half the battlefield's remaining souls, absorbing them into its core. Its every movement sent waves of gray mist, while deadly lightning rained down from stormy skies. The entire realm seemed to bend to its will.

"All shall bow to the King of Death and Life!"
