Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Bai Meiyue's voice was quite harsh, and as the woman's expression changed, Fox subtly swallowed. He knew that Bai Meiyue was dangerous, but he had never seen her lose her temper. At least she had never lost her temper with him. And a good thing too, because the second she changed her tone and stopped smiling, Fox turned pale in the face. He realised that this woman was not joking when she said that she could ruin the entire base if she wanted.

Because at the moment, the car was slowly getting filled by her aura, and Fox found it hard to breathe. He could feel his bones hurting as if they were getting crushed. He turned to look around the car and realised that he was the only one who was suffering, which showed that Bai Meiyue had exceptional control over her power and abilities.

If it were just Lei Qian, he would have thought that it was due to the man being a powerful ability user, but there was also Mother Bai in the car, and the woman was not an ability user, and yet she was not at all bothered by Bai Meiyue's aura, which further proved his theory that the woman was only targeting him.

If she wanted, she could kill him with a flick of her fingers.

Fox gritted his teeth and turned to look outside the window. He raised his head and shouted, "Get out of there and open the door. I am Officer Fox speaking! They have me under arrest as a hostage, and my life is in danger. You all open the door if you don't want me to die!"

Fox's voice echoed down the street, and Officer Ling stiffened. He raised the binoculars in his hands and stared at the car that was heading their way. At first, he thought that Bai Meiyue was just trying to play a trick on them. But who would have thought that the woman had really taken Fox as her hostage? He wanted to shoot the woman down, but before he could, the radio behind him started to beep.

Officer Ling turned around and glanced at the Morse code that was displayed on the screen, and his expression changed. He turned around and said to the guards, "Open the damn door and get out of their way."

With the gates already melting, the guards had no other choice but to do what Officer Ling said to them. They opened the gates and stepped away from the path of the convoy that drove past them without stopping.

Officer Ling watched them go, and his expression turned dark. He couldn't believe that the woman got her hands on Officer Fox.

At the same time, Bai Meiyue raised her hand and wiped down the spider cams that were following her; however, no matter how many spider cams she destroyed, more would surge up and follow her. However, Bai Meiyue didn't panic; she continued the same process until they were far enough for Yu Miaomiao to catch before she commanded, "Blow the damn thing down."

As soon as she finished speaking, there was a loud explosion behind her.

Bai Meiyue sneered as she turned and looked at the control centre that she had blown up. Yu Miaomiao would have never expected that, for the sake of getting away from her, they had been planning for weeks and not just a few hours. They had carefully looked around and found the control centre that controlled these spider cams, though they still couldn't find a way to deal with the control centre. It was as easy as eating a lemon pie for Bai Meiyue.

Earlier, when she went to steal the supplies of the base, she had sneaked close to the control panel and arranged for a bunch of miniature bombs to be planted around the control panel. Though Fox might think that she was being reckless by making such a loud noise when she was leaving, the truth was that Bai Meiyue had calculated every move.

She wanted Yu Miaomiao to send all the guards away from the warehouse and the control centre, all for the sake of stopping her. Thus, she had deliberately made such a loud noise, hoping that no one would detect those mini bombs that she had planted around the control centre.

Good thing it worked.

"You—" Fox was stunned when he saw the flames rising in the air. He turned and looked at Bai Meiyue with shock in his eyes, as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He thought that the woman had decided to move on a whim. He even thought that she was making a mistake, as her new hideout would be found sooner or later, but he never thought that Bai Meiyue was smart enough to plan every move!

"What? Did you think that after pushing me to hand you hundreds and thousands of catties of the supplies that I brought back with my own daring, I would stay in the base and not think of a counterattack?"

Fox's face turned red. In the past, he didn't think that there was anything wrong with pushing Bai Meiyue to the corner by pushing her to hand over the supplies; in fact, he thought that he was being gentle with her, but who would have thought that the woman was actually feeling resentful since then?

It was a good thing that she didn't know that he agreed with Yu Miaomiao's plan back then, or else these water needles would have seriously pierced through his skin by now.

Bai Meiyue didn't know what the man was thinking; she turned and looked at the control centre that was burning in flames. She curled her lips and leaned back in satisfaction. She knew that Yu Miaomiao was not a high-ranking ability user; she was someone who was too engrossed in her research to create a vaccine for the doomsday virus; thus, she had never spent a day cultivating.

However, despite her lack of strength, she wanted to control her creations like they were a part of her body, which meant—she was doomed to get a backlash.
