Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Chapter 479: End of Tiger Gang

"Where is Boss Du?" Bai Meiyue asked the one man whom she had left alive deliberately after she was done killing the rest of the guards. Her hair was still dangling in front of her face, and with her eyes staring coldly at the man, the poor man trembled with fright.

Her strategy was simple. She knew that there was no point in questioning an entire group of people; they would only say two different things, which would confuse her. But if she were to corner one of the men and threaten him by pushing him into a corner, it was only a matter of time before he would start speaking.

Sure enough. Just as she expected, the man whom she had cornered fell to his knees and said to her in a hurry, "Please let me off. I really didn't mean to harm anyone. Boss Du…he…he is on the fifth floor of the building. He was the one who asked me to kill people and go after that woman named Bai Meiyue. I really didn't want to kill you. Please leave me —ARGHHH!"

Bai Meiyue didn't even listen to the words of the man as she stabbed him in the chest, wrenching his heart out in the process as she pulled the butcher knife.

"Tsk, so annoying," remarked Bai Meiyue as she jerked the knife and dropped the heart on the floor before cleaning it up. She got truly annoyed when things become messy. She was pregnant, for goodness' sake.

Once she was done cleaning up, she made her way to the fifth floor.

The residential building where Boss Du was living with his gang had fifteen floors, and each floor had only three apartments. Bai Meiyue hid in the building that was right in front of the building where Boss Du was at the moment.

There was no one guarding the entrance of the building, but as Bai Meiyue peered through her binoculars, she could see that countless people were moving back and forth in the corridors. It seemed like Boss Du was a rather careful man.

Each patrol group had more than five people.

There was no one on the sixth and fourth floors, most probably because they were worried that they would disturb Boss Du, who lived on the fifth floor with Fang Fei and the rest of the Fang family.

After looking around for a while, Bai Meiyue found out that there were only a few people who lived in the building where Boss Du was staying.

Seeing that there were a bunch of people walking in and out of the corridor, Bai Meiyue knew that it would become dangerous if she charged right into the small corridor; what if those people started firing without a care? With such a small space, she wouldn't even have enough space to run.

Bai Meiyue then slowly crept to the back of the building and carefully counted the floor before creating a water hand that helped her to the fifth floor. With her spiritual energy carefully controlling the gigantic hand, Bai Meiyue soon arrived at the fifth floor.

Upon arriving at the fifth floor, Bai Meiyue pushed open the small window that was on the side and entered the room with a gun in her hands. As she climbed inside the room, Bai Meiyue realised that she was standing in a well-furnished bedroom.

However, the temperature of the room was really low, which showed that no one lived here. Most probably, it was a guest room.

Bai Meiyue, however, remained alert. She opened the door and walked inside with the gun in her hands.

As soon as she stepped inside the room, something moved on the bed.

"Who?"

Hearing the familiar voice, Bai Meiyue paused and looked around. She saw Father Fang sitting upright as he squinted in the dark. The man looked quite scared, and given his thin frame with many wounds on his body, Bai Meiyue knew why.

"It's me, Uncle Fang," she told the man. "Bai Meiyue."

Only then did Father Fang calm down. For a second, he thought that another one of the Boss Du underlings had come to take his anger out on him. The last time he was trying to help Bai Meiyue by telling her what Boss Du had planned, but the second he made a move, he was caught and dragged by the thugs and thrown into this dark room.

Fortunately, it was not one of the thugs, as he really couldn't bear any more beatings.

Bai Meiyue had no idea what the man was thinking. She looked around and when she didn't see either Mother Fang or Fang Fei, she turned to look at Father Fang and asked him, "Which room is Boss Du in at the moment?" Fang Fei was in the second room on this floor. This was what Bai Meiyue knew, but she didn't want to rush into the wrong room.

Father Fang squinted in the dark, trying to see where Bai Meiyue was standing, but when he didn't, he sighed and said to her, "He is in room number 1456, and no one lives in 1458."

After he finished speaking, he paused and turned to look at Bai Meiyue. "You can't go out of the room. It's locked."

"That day when you tried to kill Fang Fei, Boss Du was really angry. He told everyone that he was going to kill you; I was worried that he would really do it. So I wanted to tip you, after all, no matter what, you and I have been relatives for a while, and it's my family who did something wrong towards your family."

"However, before I could do that, they caught me and threw me here. My wife and daughter also live on this floor, but they are alone. Boss Du hardly ever comes to see them." Most probably because he was worried that he would be entangled by Fang Fei and dragged down along with her.

Father Fang wanted to ask if Bai Meiyue could help him, but then he swallowed hard and didn't say a word. There was no need for him to ask such unrealistic questions.
